| Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius violated federal law by campaigning for President Obama on the taxpayers’ dime, but now that initial violation has the Democratic National Committee and an HHS aide in the spotlight for related alleged infractions. A nonprofit government watchdog filed a complaint alleging that the DNC violated campaign finance law by misreporting the money it spent to reimburse HHS for Sebelius’ trip in a way that masked the fact that the Hatch Act, a ban on political campaigning by government employees working in their official capacity,

Hatch Act? Ironically the Hatch Act of 1939 was named for a Democrat Senator.
For those who haven´t studied the history of the Hatch Act (I hadn´t either) here is a tidbit about it from Ask.com
Widespread allegations that local Democratic Party politicians used employees of the Works Progress Administration (WPA) during the congressional elections of 1938 provided the immediate impetus for the passage of the Hatch Act....
Despite that investigation´s inconclusive findings, many in both parties determined to take action against the growing power of the WPA and its Chief Administrator, Harry Hopkins, an intimate of the president. The Act was sponsored by Senator Carl Hatch, a Democrat from New Mexico. At the time, Roosevelt was struggling to purge the Democratic party of its more conservative members[bold print is mine] who were increasingly aligned with the administration´s Republican opponents.
The president considered vetoing the legislation or allowing it to become law without his signature, but instead signed it on the last day he could do so. His signing message welcomed the legislation as if he had called for it[bold is mine] and emphasized the protection his administration would provide for political expression on the part of public employees.
Sounds like something Barry would do - take credit for something that isn´t his!

Tactics vary, but the goal is the same. So the demoncrats buy votes with stolen money, and the repukeicans keep their mouths shut when told to by the media. Inside the beltway, everybody stays happy. Outside it, we toil, and boil.

A Michigan high school canceled a speech by former Sen. Rick Santorum after teachers became outraged over his opposition to gay marriage and threatened to stage protests and a possible work stoppage. Santorum had been invited to deliver a upcoming speech on leadership by the Young Americans for Freedom chapter at Gross Pointe South High School. But the speech was canceled on Monday after the school district’s superintendent heard from angry teachers. “It’s a sad day when liberal educators are allowed to influence young minds – extending free speech rights only to those who share their liberal views,” Santorum said

In the message he issued along with his budget proposal on Wednesday morning, President Barack Obama said he wants to see 4-year-old children in the United States enrolled in public schools. Obama said America needs to start enrolling 4-year-olds to make sure the children are “better prepared for the demands of the global economy” and to help parents save on "child-care costs." After saying the United States needs to “equip our citizens with the skills and training” to fill jobs in manufacturing, energy and infrastructure, Obama said, “And that has to start at the earliest possible age.”

President Obama´s push to pass stricter gun control laws will cost Democrats in the 2014 midterm elections, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said Wednesday. "I think the president has shown he is willing to demagogue an issue and that it is ultimately going to backfire," Cruz said in an interview on Laura Ingraham´s radio show. Cruz´s comments come as Congress debates passing a set of gun control measures meant to reduce gun violence and prevent shooting massacres similar to the one at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.

During Barack Obama´s presidency there have been 32 background checks for gun purchases every minute. Since February of 2009, the first full month of Obama´s presidency, there have been 70,291,049 background checks for gun purchases, according to data released by the FBI. Using February 1, 2009 as our starting date, and March 31, 2013 as our end date, (the latest data from the FBI) Obama has been president for 1,520 days. That equates to 36,480 hours, or 2,188,800 minutes. Divide the 70,291,049 background checks by 2,188,800 minutes and you get approximately 32 checks for gun purchases every minute!

As he rolls out his fiscal 2014 budget on Wednesday, a new survey finds that Americans haven’t felt this confident about President Obama’s handling of the economy since his first year in office. The Gallup poll, which sampled more than 1,000 Americans, found that 57 percent say they have a “great deal or a fair amount of confidence” in Mr. Obama to do the right thing on the economy. That’s up from just 50 percent last year and hasn’t been this high since it hit 71 percent in 2008. Trust in congressional Republicans, on the other hand, remains low.

Is she lying about her delivery date? Is she lying about her pregnancy? Why did she wear that dress that made people compare her to an orca whale? All of these are very valid questions, but bring to light another issue: Isn’t there some one else who’s also pregnant right now? Some one who is substantially more important than Kim Kardashian?

Touré’s flagship publication, The Fire This Time, lavished praise on famous anti-Semites, black supremacists, and conspiracy theorists whom Touré helped bring to campus. Before he became an intense-but-sardonic TV personality, Touré also decried “the suffocating white community” and defended a nationally famous fake hate crime. Beginning a week of high pressure on gun control, the White House on Monday accused some Republican senators of cowardice for planning to filibuster gun legislation without allowing the full Senate to vote on President Obama’s initiatives. “If they oppose this legislation, have the courage to say so on the floor and vote no,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. “Don’t block it. Don’t hide behind a procedural action to prevent a vote. That’s the wrong thing to do, and that’s how the president clearly feels.”

With Cruz standing proudly in the way of any gun legislation, Democrats are trying to make him pay a political price — and even a couple of high-profile Republicans are questioning his tactics.
