Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sat down tonight with Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren in an interview that touched on everything from Egypt and the United States’ relationship with President Mohammed Morsi to dealing with threats from Iran and how the State Department is handling the aftermath of last September’s attack on the United States consulate in Benghazi. On the latter, Clinton said the State Department is following recommendations by an accountability review board. Have to say that Greta asked questions nobody else asked, and TRIED to get answers, but Hillary is so full of political- speak and blather that nothing came clear........try to figure out an ANSWER to anything asked that was anything but evasion and hot air. And of course, this is all laying the groundwork for the Presidency that the woman assured us she wouldn´t be running for.

On Benghazi, it´s the usual excuses. Ever since the Bush administration the Republican House has not given the State Department enough money for it to provide sufficient security.

I guess it´s as the President said. He did all he could. Nothing. Hillary also did all she could. Nothing.

#1 says it for me. This was not a probing interview. Did Hillary have the questions before hand?

It seemed to me that Hillary answered Greta as if it was a script. Hill didn´t seem to have to choose her words as one would expect someone who has weighty, confidential information would have to do. Instead, her sentences just rolled out of her mouth as if she didn´t have to think about the answer.

Greta´s questions also seemed scripted. Let´s face it, this is TV and no second goes by on a TV program without it all having been written in advance.

Yes, #1, I have the same questions.

Aside from her hair always looking dirty, Hillary didn´t answer a single question and Susteren didn´t want to push the issue, either. Here:

Van Susteren brought up Iran and asked what the United States is doing to deal with Iran potentially obtaining a nuclear weapon. Clinton emphasized that the U.S. is focused on “prevention, not containment.”

What´s the difference? When you contain a country´s ability to produce nukes, don´t you "prevent" it? That´s a distinction without a difference, Miz Hillary.

When Van Susteren pressed Clinton on what options could be taken to stop Iran, Clinton affirmed that all options are on the table.

Other than sanctions which rarely work, what "options" does she mean? War?

She said there needs to be more crackdowns on terrorist activity connected to Iran, adding that “we’ll be issuing more sanctions” in the future.

Okay, so "sanctions" and "crackdowns". How, exactly, do you "crack down" on them?

There are so many typically-Hillary vagaries here that she does her law degree proud but in the process, deceives even Susteren, who is far brighter than Hillary on most days.

Why won´t somebody push this fading diva a little?
