Obama: Unless you were a
Native American, you came
from someplace else

Washington Examiner, by Charlie Spiering

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 1/29/2013 9:58:32 PM

This afternoon in Las Vegas, President Obama reminded most American citizens that they were descended from immigrants themselves. Obama warned that the issue was an emotional one, but that it was important for Americans to not view it as “us versus them.” “It’s really important to remember our history,” Obama continued. “Unless you were one of the first Americans, a Native American, you came from someplace else, somebody brought you,” he said.

Comments:
And we are constantly reminded how brilliant 0bama is supposed to be, then you see something like this. He´s so pathetic. If Bush had said something like this the media would flip out. This is the entire article.

Obama can only speak to/of his own experience. Obviously, he came from someplace else and hasn´t bothered building anything he can take credit for.

My ancestors did not break immigration law, customs law, labor laws; nor did they falsify US documents or committ perjury. We are a nation of LEGAL immigrants, Emperor Strawman. Your open border policy is crushing the working class. Their wages haven´t gone up in three decades. Guess you´d rather have them dependent on your food stamp rolls than to make enough to feed their families. Your open border policy has destroyed Mexican society. You do-gooding liberals help a handful of your pet Mexicans that make it up to your sanctuary cities, but there is no "sanctuary" for the Mexicans left behind in Mexico. They live in a country with no real economy besides gun running and drug smuggling because their able-bodied work force is up in the US mowing some white liberal´s lawn.

WRONG! "Native" Americans came from Asia. They are from someplace else too. And they were not even the first people here. There is now proof that European people came over the frozen Atlantic 15,000 years before the "natives" came over the Bering Strait.

Native: from the Latin word natus meaning born.

Someone born in the country in which they live is a native.

If you have a birth certificate stating that you were born in any of the fifty states or U.S. territories, you are a Native American.

Should not be confused with Aboriginal American.

Last I checked, it´s been awhile mind you, but my birth certificate has Abington, Pa written on it. Perhaps, from Prez Nada this "you´re from somewhere else" is a bit of what is known as transference... I´m sure a bit of photoshop and I can get it to say whatever I want including, Indonesia, Kenya, whatever

Who the heck can understand Obama´s mind. His statements, which of course he does not write, but condones, indicate he has gone "around the bend". In my opinion, he has become unbalanced. Wonder what Dr Krauthammer
thinks ? What in G_d´s name do native Americans have to do with LEGAL immigration.
The examples he uses are mindless and he has become scary to rational citizens, at least many I know personally.

Whatta jeenyus. Two big flubs right off.

As noted by poster[s], the forbears of the Indians also "came here." Land bridge across the [current] Bering Strait.

And... if you are an American from birth, you are a native America.

The "indigenous people" are called American aborigines, or American Indians.

But so what? That justifies nothing.

Uncles shot by Tzars for their horses. The Tzar confiscated them just as you steal from us and would have us shot as well. My mother has the Cherokee blood. Granted, not enough to attempt to sponge off your government, but she was as much Cherokee as your lawyer friend, Lizzie Warren I am America. Which is much more than YOU can claim.

My kid´s teacher pulled that same carp on her in high school. I countered by sending a letter with the name, date of birth and place of birth of everyone in our direct line going back to 1750, when the first Chumley got off the boat from Europe. Then I asked this "educator" just how many generations had to be born here before we could be called "real" Americans.
I got no answer, but she never repeated that BS while my kid was in her class.

What #2 & #8 said.

There is a European "Mongolian" mummified human, predating American "Indians" in limbo. The Native American tribes will not allow it to be studied *officially* because it was found on sacred ground.

Many believe that the real reason is because they don´t want a different race to predate them.

Mr. President, we are ALL immigrants here & we ALL must become citizens either through our immigration process, or by a war, take your pick.

Again trying to set the premise, as if there´s no difference between the nation-building encouragement of legal immigration that has taken place for centuries and the current unchecked flow of criminals, freeloaders, and the destitute as they make their way north from the land of the cartels.

Two words for Barack Obama, "Land Bridge". Or maybe "ocean voyagers". Native Americans migrated here from another place.

Nobody "brought" him, he was the son of a Kenyan immigrant and an american citizen and raised primarily in a non african-american culture. He is only related to descendents of slaves by skin color. I´m tired of him and his claims of racism to hide the failures of this administration.

The human race developed on the African-Europe-Asian land mass.

Any humans living someplace other than that land mass came to where they are from there.

The move lends enormous momentum to the years-long push to establish a memorial to women’s history near the National Mall — a proposal that’s lingered in Congress for nearly two decades without ever reaching the president’s desk. Congressional supporters from both parties have been working behind the scenes to rally backing and pressure leaders to stage a vote on the bill this year, even as Congress’s shift into campaign mode has left little appetite for most

The House Commerce Committee will hold a hearing next month to examine the Obama administration´s recent move to relinquish oversight of the technical back end of the Internet, the committee announced Tuesday. "Changes to the current model should be approached with a cautious and careful eye," Reps. Fred Upton (R-Mich.) and Greg Walden (R-Ore.), chairmen of the House Commerce Committee and the Commerce Subcommittee on Technology, said in a joint statement. The hearing comes after last week´s announcement by the Department of Commerce´s National Telecommunications and Information Administration that it will relinquish its oversight role of the Internet Assigned Numbers

With midterm elections not far off, Democratic opposition researchers are armed with thousands of pages of records obtained from the Environmental Protection Agency through the Freedom of Information Act, far outpacing known Republican efforts to pry information loose from the agency, records show. Democrats have filed more than 50 FOIA requests, including lots seeking correspondence between Republicans and EPA officials — letters that operatives will scour for any hint that politicians’ rhetoric doesn’t square with how they conduct themselves outside of public view. Their findings help supply a steady flow of material for damaging news stories and campaign ads. Twenty-eight

A top Commerce Department official pushed back Wednesday against concerns that the Obama administration is opening the door to an Internet takeover by Russia, China, and other authoritarian regimes. The fears stem from the Commerce Department´s announcement last Friday that it plans to give the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, an international nonprofit group, control over the technical system that allows computers to connect to Web addresses. "Our announcement has led to some misunderstanding about our plan, with some individuals raising concern that the U.S. government is abandoning the Internet. Nothing could be further from the truth," Lawrence Strickling, the

Few think Western civilization is on the brink of collapse—but it´s also doubtful the Romans and Mesopotamians saw their own demise coming either. If we´re to avoid their fate, we´ll need policies to reduce economic inequality and preserve natural resources, according to a NASA-funded study that looked at the collapses of previous societies. "Two important features seem to appear across societies that have collapsed," reads the study. "The stretching of resources due to the strain placed on the ecological carrying capacity and the economic stratification of society into Elites and Masses." In unequal societies, researchers said, "collapse is difficult to avoid.... Elites grow

Top Senate Banking Committee members released plans this week to wind down mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and replace them with a complicated apparatus disturbingly similar to Obamacare. While the proposal by Senators Tim Johnson (D-SD), the chairman, and Mike Crapo (R-ID), the ranking member, was announced with great fanfare, it simply follows the outlines of another bipartisan bill, offered last year by Sens. Bob Corker (R-TN) and Mark Warner (D-VA). The idea is to get rid of the two government-sponsored enterprises (GSEs) that provide mortgage financing today for most American homes and replace them with a system of

WASHINGTON - Cancer patients relieved that they can get insurance coverage because of the new health care law may be disappointed to learn that some the nation´s best cancer hospitals are off-limits. An Associated Press survey found examples coast to coast. Seattle Cancer Care Alliance is excluded by five out of eight insurers in Washington state´s insurance exchange. MD Anderson Cancer Center says it´s in less than half of the plans in the Houston area. Memorial Sloan-Kettering is included by two of nine insurers in New York City and has out-of-network agreements with two more. Doctors and administrators say they´re

The words came out of my mouth before I could stop them. “I feel sorry for Obama,” I said. As my wife looked at me in disbelief, I quickly added a correction. “Well, almost.” Beset by failures at home and abroad, the president cuts a lonely and sad figure these days. His aura of grief reflects his profound loss. His worldview crashed headlong into reality, and reality won. Obamaism is dead, may it rest in peace. That’s sad for him, but hold the tears — his loss is mankind’s hope. If Obama wakes from his utopian visions and faces the

Secretary of State John Kerry called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday morning to protest insults the Israeli defense minister directed at the Obama administration this week, the State Department said. In a speech at Tel Aviv University on Monday, Moshe Ya’alon criticized President Obama for having a weak foreign policy, and said Israel could no longer rely on the United States to lead nuclear negotiations with Iran. “Secretary Kerry spoke with Prime Minister Netanyahu this morning. And he protested to him his concerns about these comments,” State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki told reporters Wednesday. The U.S., Psaki reaffirmed, maintains an “unshakable

First lady Michelle Obama "has been looking for an opportunity to go to China," a White House official said on Monday. And she considers it a "real treat" to take her daughters and her mother with her -- a trip she´s making at considerable expense to taxpayers, although the White House refused to give a dollar figure. "You know, the first lady has talked about the importance of young people here in the United States learning about other cultures. She believes that about her own children, and has seen this as a really unique opportunity to share a very different

Has President Obama´s impunity come to an end? After five years of his flouting the letter and spirit of the law in an increasingly brazen fashion, congressional Republicans have been starting to ramp up their rhetoric about Obama´s lawlessness, their most concerted effort on the issue to date. Several new reports from top Republicans underscore the breadth of Obama´s executive overreach. White House executive pastry chef Bill Yosses is resigning after First Lady Michelle Obama fundamentally changed his job duties to focus on healthier food. Yosses is leaving the White House in June to work on a new project focusing on “food literacy” and The New York Times says Michelle is “partly to blame.” The openly gay chef was hired by Laura Bush in 2007 to make his trademark cookie plates and sugar sculptures. Mrs. Obama took over in 2009 and ordered Yosses to make healthier plates in smaller portions. (Snip) “I don’t want to demonize cream, butter, sugar and eggs,”

Health industry officials say ObamaCare-related premiums will double in some parts of the country, countering claims recently made by the administration. The expected rate hikes will be announced in the coming months amid an intense election year, when control of the Senate is up for grabs. The sticker shock would likely bolster the GOP’s prospects in November and hamper ObamaCare insurance enrollment efforts in 2015. The industry complaints come less than a week after Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius sought to downplay concerns about rising premiums in the healthcare sector. She told lawmakers rates would increase in 2015 but

Government officials now admit the data system and transponder quit communicating after the pilots said things were OK. That means they didn’t lie. The official Malaysian account of the last contacts made to and received by Flight MH370 is unraveling. As it does, the sinister interpretations of what happened in the cockpit of the Boeing 777 become less persuasive. We return to the all-important timeline. Originally, the Malaysians said that the last words from the cockpit—from the copilot, “All right, good night”—were spoken to air traffic controllers as the airplane left Malaysian air space at 1:30am. This week, that timing was significantly changed
