Obama: Unless you were a
Native American, you came
from someplace else

Washington Examiner, by Charlie Spiering

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 1/29/2013 9:58:32 PM

This afternoon in Las Vegas, President Obama reminded most American citizens that they were descended from immigrants themselves. Obama warned that the issue was an emotional one, but that it was important for Americans to not view it as “us versus them.” “It’s really important to remember our history,” Obama continued. “Unless you were one of the first Americans, a Native American, you came from someplace else, somebody brought you,” he said.

Comments:
And we are constantly reminded how brilliant 0bama is supposed to be, then you see something like this. He´s so pathetic. If Bush had said something like this the media would flip out. This is the entire article.

Obama can only speak to/of his own experience. Obviously, he came from someplace else and hasn´t bothered building anything he can take credit for.

My ancestors did not break immigration law, customs law, labor laws; nor did they falsify US documents or committ perjury. We are a nation of LEGAL immigrants, Emperor Strawman. Your open border policy is crushing the working class. Their wages haven´t gone up in three decades. Guess you´d rather have them dependent on your food stamp rolls than to make enough to feed their families. Your open border policy has destroyed Mexican society. You do-gooding liberals help a handful of your pet Mexicans that make it up to your sanctuary cities, but there is no "sanctuary" for the Mexicans left behind in Mexico. They live in a country with no real economy besides gun running and drug smuggling because their able-bodied work force is up in the US mowing some white liberal´s lawn.

WRONG! "Native" Americans came from Asia. They are from someplace else too. And they were not even the first people here. There is now proof that European people came over the frozen Atlantic 15,000 years before the "natives" came over the Bering Strait.

How many decades and centuries before Obama considers me a native American??? My family was here long before there was a United States of America. I think I qualify!

Native: from the Latin word natus meaning born.

Someone born in the country in which they live is a native.

If you have a birth certificate stating that you were born in any of the fifty states or U.S. territories, you are a Native American.

Should not be confused with Aboriginal American.

Last I checked, it´s been awhile mind you, but my birth certificate has Abington, Pa written on it. Perhaps, from Prez Nada this "you´re from somewhere else" is a bit of what is known as transference... Who the heck can understand Obama´s mind. His statements, which of course he does not write, but condones, indicate he has gone "around the bend". In my opinion, he has become unbalanced. Wonder what Dr Krauthammer
thinks ? What in G_d´s name do native Americans have to do with LEGAL immigration.
The examples he uses are mindless and he has become scary to rational citizens, at least many I know personally.

Whatta jeenyus. Two big flubs right off.

As noted by poster[s], the forbears of the Indians also "came here." Land bridge across the [current] Bering Strait.

And... if you are an American from birth, you are a native America.

The "indigenous people" are called American aborigines, or American Indians.

But so what? That justifies nothing.

My kid´s teacher pulled that same carp on her in high school. I countered by sending a letter with the name, date of birth and place of birth of everyone in our direct line going back to 1750, when the first Chumley got off the boat from Europe. Then I asked this "educator" just how many generations had to be born here before we could be called "real" Americans.
I got no answer, but she never repeated that BS while my kid was in her class.

What #2 & #8 said.

There is a European "Mongolian" mummified human, predating American "Indians" in limbo. The Native American tribes will not allow it to be studied *officially* because it was found on sacred ground.

Many believe that the real reason is because they don´t want a different race to predate them.

Mr. President, we are ALL immigrants here & we ALL must become citizens either through our immigration process, or by a war, take your pick.

Two words for Barack Obama, "Land Bridge". Or maybe "ocean voyagers". Native Americans migrated here from another place.

Nobody "brought" him, he was the son of a Kenyan immigrant and an american citizen and raised primarily in a non african-american culture. He is only related to descendents of slaves by skin color. I´m tired of him and his claims of racism to hide the failures of this administration.

Any humans living someplace other than that land mass came to where they are from there.

The media is all abuzz with Kim Kardashian’s pregnancy these days: she fat? Should she really be wearing leather pants while pregnant? What is that cape-like thing she wore the other week? Is she lying about her delivery date? Is she lying about her pregnancy? Why did she wear that dress that made people compare her to an orca whale? All of these are very valid questions, but bring to light another issue: Isn’t there some one else who’s also pregnant right now? Some one who is substantially more important than Kim Kardashian?

The murder trial of abortionist Kermit Gosnell largely is being ignored by the mainstream media, even in the face of grisly testimony, such as what we heard yesterday. Life News reports: ...a former employee described how she heard a baby scream during a live-birth abortion. Abortion clinic employee Sherry West described an incident which "really freaked (her) out" and related to the jury how she heard a child who was born alive following an abortion scream.

HARTFORD, Conn. -- With time running out on the chance to pass gun control legislation, President Barack Obama on Monday warned Congress not to use delaying tactics against tighter regulations and told families of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims that he´s "determined as ever" to honor their children with tougher laws. Obama´s gun control proposals have run into resistance on Capitol Hill, leaving their fate in doubt. Efforts by Senate Democrats to reach compromise with Republicans over expanding required federal background checks have yet to yield an agreement, and conservatives were promising to try

Beginning a week of high pressure on gun control, the White House on Monday accused some Republican senators of cowardice for planning to filibuster gun legislation without allowing the full Senate to vote on President Obama’s initiatives. “If they oppose this legislation, have the courage to say so on the floor and vote no,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. “Don’t block it. Don’t hide behind a procedural action to prevent a vote. That’s the wrong thing to do, and that’s how the president clearly feels.”

The sequester may have many across the country singing the blues, but for President Obama, it was all about Memphis Soul. Even with the threat of furloughs and government cuts sparked by the sequester, Obama took the time to enjoy a star-studded concert at the White House tonight. The White House celebration of Memphis Soul music in the East Room--which included special guest appearances by Queen Latifah and Justin Timberlake--is likely to rile Obama´s Republican foes. Some conservatives have called on Obama to give up golf, especially since popular public tours of the White House have been canceled because of

West Virginia Democratic Sen. Jay Rockefeller, one of the towering architects of Obamacare, on Tuesday openly criticized program managers for not moving quickly enough to build the system, warning that if it gets off to a bumpy start it will just get worse. Decrying the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act as way too complex, he warned the acting Medicare director that Obamacare is "so complicated and if it isn´t done right the first time, it will just simply get worse."

There was growing buzz over the weekend that a bipartisan agreement on gun control — a deal that would expand background checks — could hit the floor as early as this week. However, any deal could be derailed by the looming threat of a Republican filibuster involving Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. With Cruz standing proudly in the way of any gun legislation, Democrats are trying to make him pay a political price — and even a couple of high-profile Republicans are questioning his tactics.

More than six months since Ambassador Christopher Stevens was assassinated by terrorists in Benghazi, the Obama administration is still trying to keep a lid on information about the attack. Congress and the American people need to know what happened the night of Sept. 11, 2012. Who did the killing and what was their motive? Why wasn´t help sent? And why did the administration lie about who was responsible? Members of Congress have asked hundreds of questions at hearings conducted by several investigative committees, but many of the most significant have been left unanswered. Margaret Thatcher had more impact on the world than any woman ruler since Catherine the Great of Russia. Not only did she turn around—decisively—the British economy in the 1980s, she also saw her methods copied in more than 50 countries. "Thatcherism" was the most popular and successful way of running a country in the last quarter of the 20th century and into the 21st. Her origins were humble. Born Oct. 13, 1925, she was the daughter of a grocer in the Lincolnshire town of Grantham. Alfred Roberts was no ordinary shopkeeper.

The group says it will "soon have some impressive new weapons at its disposal to combat those who gun down deer and doves" and that it is "shopping for one or more drone aircraft with which to monitor those who are out in the woods with death on their minds."
