SF Archbishop: Legalizing Gay
Marriage is Like ‘Legalizing
Male Breastfeeding’

Cybercast News Service, by Michael W. Chapman

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 1/29/2013 9:15:06 PM

Salvatore Joseph Cordileone, the Catholic archbishop of San Francisco, said that same-sex “marriage” is so contrary to nature that legalizing it would be like “legalizing male breastfeeding.” In a Jan. 28 interview with Mary O’Regan for the Catholic Herald in England, Arbp. Cordileone cautioned against using the term “gay marriage” because it is a natural impossibility, and to keep using those words only perpetuates a charade. He likened the impossibility of same-sex marriage to another biological impossibility: “Legislating for the right for people of the same sex to marry is like legalizing male breastfeeding.”

Comments:
It´s nice to see they are all not backing down from their beliefs. Has he talked to Pelosi lately? It´s amazing he was allowed to utter those words in San Francisco.

The problem is, I believe men actually can breastfeed. It´s something to do with the way breasts are made in both sexes. I could be wrong, but google it and see.

Looking at my last post, I feel the need to point out that the word "episcopal" just means "bishop." It does not mean "Episcopalian."

Great to see a real bishop defend church doctrine. Still, being SF, I would say, to paraphrase Stalin: how many circuit courts does the Pope control?

This from a man who allowed his Mother to be his spokesperson after he was arrested for drunk driving last year. According to his mother it was all her fault, she should have known he had too much to drink - she was all over the news for days before he finally came out with his weak mea culpa for breaking the law.

Good Lord! Unlike commentators on this site, the archbishop is not perfect! However, the God whose Word he faithfully cites, well, is.

Yeah, I heard something about male breastfeeding before. Not really sure how it can happen but there was a biological reason for men having nipples. Also, did you know that we all have the potential cells to develop multiple breasts like cats and dogs? It usually doesn´t happen, but I had an acquaintance who grew a third one in her adulthood. That´s when I found out there have been other cases. Creepy, huh? I guess we are not that physically different after all.

I saw a story where some gay man, who was having a baby via gestational surrogate, was trying to find a way to breast feed the child.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney was peppered with questions at Tuesday’s press briefing over scandals relating to the Department of Justice’s obtainment of phone records from the Associated Press, the scrubbing of talking points on Benghazi, and news that the Internal Revenue Service targeted conservative groups. Carney was asked about the comparisons being made between President Barack Obama and President Richard Nixon. Carney brushed off those concerns, saying they result from the “politicization of everything.” “I can tell you that the people who make those kinds of comparisons need to check their history,” Carney said.

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder has ordered an investigation into Internal Revenue Service political targeting of some conservative groups, he announced Tuesday. "The FBI is coordinating with the Justice Department to see if any laws were broken," he told reporters. Even if none were, the actions "were certainly outrageous and unacceptable," he said. The IRS has admitted that members of its Cincinnati office engaged in such activity. But documents suggest at least three other IRS offices did the same. Letters provided to CNN show IRS officials in Washington and California contacted conservative groups to

White House press secretary Jay Carney said Tuesday that he could rule out any involvement by President Obama or West Wing staff in the IRS decision to target conservative organizations. Pressed during his daily press briefing if he could be certain, Carney replied “yes,” and added that White House lawyers were first "notified about this activity, very broadly, just a few weeks ago." Carney refused to comment on what action Obama would take in response to the IRS scandal, saying only that the president had “no tolerance for

Attorney General Eric Holder has recused himself from the Associated Press leak investigation. He will officially announce his recusal at a press conference Tuesday afternoon. Fox News is reporting his recusal comes partially because Holder has testified about potential national security leaks surrounding a May 7, 2012 Associated Press story. Yesterday, the Associated Press revealed the Department of Justice had been secretly monitoring both the personal and work phones of numerous AP editors and reporters. DOJ responded to these revelations by releasing the following

Reporters across The Associated Press are outraged over the Justice Department’s sweeping seizure of staff phone records - and they say such an intrusion could chill their relationships with confidential sources. In conversations with POLITICO on Tuesday, several AP staffers in Washington, D.C., described feelings of anger and frustration with the DOJ and with the Obama administration in general. “People are pretty mad — mad that government has not taken what we do seriously,” one reporter said on Tuesday. “When the news broke yesterday…people were outraged and disgusted. President George W. Bush’s attorney general said Tuesday that the Obama administration has engaged in “reprehensible conduct” with its unprecedented collection of Associated Press phone logs. Michael Mukasey, who led the Justice Department under Mr. Bush in the final years of his presidency, said it appears the administration wanted to muzzle news accounts contradicting their “narrative” that al Qaeda was on the run. “This is a narrative that’s different than we want to put out there,” Mr. Mukasey said during an interview on Fox News, explaining the administration’s rationale.

Call it “Oval Office Couch Syndrome.” By the second term “inside the bubble,” presidents have completely lost touch with reality: Aides and confidants conspire to keep the chief executive insulated from the real world — the bad news, the worse press coverage. They think it’s their job, and lounging on the Oval Office couches, they nod along with the president’s every musing. But this presidency has taken OOCS to new heights — Mr. Obama has only a few trusted aides, and occasional leaks from the West Wing show a paranoid president suspicious of nearly everyone around him.

The GOP majority in the House is reaching for new heights of political absurdity this week with its 37th vote to kill all or part of the Affordable Care Act. Let us briefly turn to political reality. There is absolutely zero chance that ObamaCare will be repealed while Democrats control the Senate and President Obama is in the White House. New York -- Is Rush Limbaugh becoming a relic, a human version of "Mad Men," except without the style or cool clothes? Has Limbaugh become as dated as Jazzercise or "Macarena?" All you need to do is look at the bottom line to see that Limbaugh is in trouble. Limbaugh once raked in the big bucks for his radio syndicator, Cumulus. But last week, Cumulus CEO Lew Dickey made it clear those days are over. Dickey reported that Cumulus had lost millions of dollars in ad sales because many advertisers no longer want to be associated with Limbaugh.
