Brotherhood youth say tight
structure is the key to its success

Egypt Independent [Egypt], by Mohamad Adam

With rising opposition to the Muslim Brotherhood in light of the leadership of President Mohamed Morsy, who hails from the group, opponents consistently voice one criticism: that young Brothers are mindless followers of the orders of their leaders and of the supreme guide, the highest authority within the group. Brotherhood youth fend off this criticism by saying their support of the leaders is a measure of organization that people outside the group don’t understand, but that is key to its success and continuity. “The organization is above ideas and above people ... that’s the secret of its success,”

"Dawah," the Muslim Brotherhood technique of recruiting began possibly benign as an idea by a contemporary of Adolph Hitler who also hated Jews, a frustrated schoolteacher named Hasan al-Banna. These animals have evolved to all things killing. Because of WWII, al-Banna was able to form assassination cells to kill at will because of the then "fog of war." With all today´s "Arab Spring," the Muslim brotherhood has reformed to continue to rid itself of Jews and all things Western [US]. Ironically, this murderer was assassinated in 1949 in broad daylight, but his EVIL legacy only grows.

The Right’s New “Welfare

Two weeks ago, I was invited to testify before the Senate Finance Committee on the subject of the economic problems of the middle class. (Snip) Congressional hearings are not the place for truth to emerge, or even for a sustained inquiry into the truth. They are performances, and each actor already has his or her lines memorized—especially the senators, whose questions direct the flow of discussion, and who rarely seem interested in building on or digging deeper into what has gone before. By the end of this hearing, there was no question which character’s voice dominated: it was Lindsey’s, perhaps because he was more familiar with the workings

Belgium´s papers are indignant and confused over a New York magazine post that called their giant Obama-plays-basketball cookie and racist Obama-as-monkey cartoon racist. "According to New York Magazine the edible artwork is outright racist," writes Het Nieuwsblad, a daily paper. "The commentary seems a bit exaggerated, but the website is convinced: Belgians are racists." Niewsblad goes on to argue that the Obama-monkey cartoon was "taken out of context" and the cookie "seemed like a nice gift for the U.S. Embassy," but was taken the wrong way. This is not an opinion column, but a sign that Belgian diversity is weak.

In the last seven weeks, intercepted phone conversations between Western and Ukrainian officials have mysteriously surfaced on the Internet. U.S. intelligence officials tell The Daily Beast these phone recordings are part of a deliberate Russian strategy to collect and publicize the private conversations of their adversaries. Not coincidentally, all three calls received major play on the Kremlin-funded Russian propaganda

A major development occurred today in the scandal surrounding the Washington Post’s attempt to advance Democratic Party talking points by falsely linking Koch Industries to the Keystone Pipeline. (Snip) The facts, very briefly, are these: Koch Industries has no interest in the Keystone Pipeline; it has not lobbied in favor of the pipeline; if the pipeline is built, Koch will make no use of it to ship oil from Alberta or anywhere else; and construction of Keystone would actually damage Koch’s economic interests by raising the price of midwestern oil that flows to Koch’s Pine Bend refinery. Trenton, N.J. - New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie says undergoing stomach banding surgery more than a year ago was a "life-changing decision." Appearing on his monthly TownSquare Media radio show Wednesday night, Christie says he works out four days a week and has achieved better health. The 51-year-old governor hasn´t said how many pounds he´s shed, but he has become noticeably thinner since secretly undergoing the surgery last February. It took Michael Correia more than a week after getting his new job to tell his parents he was a marijuana lobbyist. “I just got a job lobbying for a small-business trade association that focuses on taxes and banking issues,” he told them four months ago after being hired by the National Cannabis Industry Association. He wasn’t lying, but for a guy who had been working for Republicans and conservative organizations for the better part of 16 years, telling his mom and dad about representing Big Pot wasn’t exactly high on his list. It wasn’t the first time he neglected to tell his parents about marijuana in his life.

As the U.S. Secret Service arrived in the Netherlands last weekend for a presidential trip, managers were already on high alert to avoid any further embarrassing incidents involving agents. The agency’s director had admonished supervisors after two counter-sniper officers suspected of drinking were involved in a March 7 car accident during a presidential visit to Miami, according to several people with knowledge of the incident. The driver passed a field sobriety test and was not arrested. So in Amsterdam on Saturday night, Secret Service supervisor George Hartford had the Miami incident in mind when he issued a warning

On Tuesday night two things happened. 1. A trio of Secret Service agents were sent home from Amsterdam after one was found passed out drunk in a hotel hallway. 2. The Obama Administration announced (another) extension of the enrollment deadline for Obamacare signups. At first glance, these two events have little in common with one another. But, modern politics is all about narratives and storylines. And, both of these events confirm a growing concern from the public about President Obama: That he´s just not up to governing his administration and, by extension, the country, effectively.

The inferno began in the basement of a four-story brownstone at 298 Beacon St. around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, the Boston Fire Department tweeted. It since spread up through all the floors and out through the roof. Eight firefighters have been taken to area hospitals, according to Boston EMS, but the extent of their injuries is unclear. One firefighter was in cardiac arrest as his desperate colleagues loaded him into an amublance, WCVB-TV reported. He was described as in serious condition by

On Tuesday, news broke that Harry Reid spent nearly $17,000 in campaign funds on “holiday gifts” for supporters and staff. Those gifts turned out to be jewelry made by the Senate majority leader’s granddaughter, Ryan Elisabeth Reid (who was listed on the FEC expenditure report as Ryan Elisabeth). Shortly after the story began circulating, Sen. Reid defended the arrangement but announced he would personally reimburse the campaign. It doesn’t appear that the Democratic leader violated any FEC rules, because his daughter’s company was technically a campaign vendor. Former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld has said that ´a trained ape´ could do a better job managing American interests in Afghanistan than President Obama. A pair of potentially catastrophic cases will be argued before the Supreme Court on Tuesday. These cases are brought by privately held, for-profit corporations that are arguing their religious convictions should preclude them from offering employees the health insurance required by law. Specifically, these private employers don’t want to allow their employees’ insurance to cover some forms of birth control because, contrary to medicaland scientific evidence, they believe some birth control causes abortions. Corporations are not people. Corporations cannot have religious views. If religious rights are extended to corporations, it puts us on a slippery slope where any private company

As the U.S. Supreme Court weighed the constitutionality of a contraception coverage mandate Tuesday morning, a federal appeals court heard a separate legal challenge that could have much more sweeping implications for the future of President Obama´s health care law. And if the oral arguments before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C.
