Glad to read about the young voices. Point made in comment is the poor aborted babies were murdered by mostly liberal, atheists, Democrats by and large. I would still want them to live as would we all, but that is how the numbers of pro choice is diminished...they have killed their own.
In my area only anonymous writers are pro choice. It is one point that black and white are on common ground. Black churches are political around here but not on gay marriage(yet) or abortion. The wishy washy Episcopalians and Presbyterian USA...may have pro choice supporters but are not putting their names on the belief. Moderates tell us to stop with the social conservative agendas. I say it is one thing that unites black white and Hispanic. Naturally, our enemies from within want us to stop being social conservatives...and thereby keep losing elections. Posters who demand we stop pushing abortion as evil and gay marriage as wrong are worse than Democrats because they hobble us from winning over many blacks and many Hispanics. Morality is not a color. Moderates are killers of reform because like Hillary: what does it matter? Slow it down so the water getting hot is not noticed. Own it moderates. You are to blame for Republicans losing.

I don´t know that one could assign all, or even most abortions, based on a political demographic. It´s a ridiculous assumption. There are many women who abort their baby, who are Christian, conservative, and yes, even republican.

When the article´s author says "That is, no one save the pregnant woman could say nay"´, he´s leaving out the obvious truth that goes along with it - that is, no one save the pregnant woman can say YES, also.

Women choose to abort, and do abort, their babies. Women are the only ones who do this. An abortionist cannot perform an abortion if there is no client paying him to do so.

You want to stop abortions? Then stop women from deciding to get them.

Something else encouraging at work here also. A year or so ago, Lcom had a link to an article from Britain that said officials of NHS are gravely concerned because more and more med students are coming out against doing abortions, so the system is running short on doctors who will perform them. The scary thing is, they also talked about having to make some regulations that would force these same doctors to act against their consciences.

I´ve lived in the DC area for 27 years and have attended many Marches for Life. There have always been huge numbers of young people attending, so I´m not sure why this is news, but it´s still encouraging.

And for #2, REAL Christian and conservative women do NOT abort their children. Nice try, though.

Maybe it´s a good thing #5. If only minority women would stand up for traditional morals... then perhaps their men would follow suit. It´s good that the Catholic Church is seeing it´s young women energized. I see evidence of this in mass weekly. The Republican Party is seeing a similar movement-- girls and young women seeking and standing up for traditional families and responsible fiscal policy. Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman, Michelle Malkin... Their message resonates with the young, conservative female base. They speak their minds, they´re tough, they´re smart, they don´t preach or talk down to their audience. And most importantly, they´re happily married mothers. I believe the Church is trying to embrace this, but the party is doing everything in its power to snuff it out.

That being said, there are some great, young catholic men out there. The talented blogger BadCatholic comes to mind.
