Compliments? Friendly advice? I must have read a different article. All I saw was at least one nasty snipe per paragraph.

If I got friendly advice worded like this, I might suspect the authors motives.

Agree with poster #2. I read this as an attack.

The few comments following the article are much better than the article.

Previous articles have framed Sarah´s departure from Fox in a different light altogether, saying it was Sarah who chose to exit. Now this article is saying Fox dumped her. And on top of that, the article is justifying dropping her with snide comments.

The conventional wisdom among the primary posters on this site is that Palin is a liability.
Never mind the fact that the left agrees.

I was very disappointed when Sarah did not get out and campaign with Romney/Ryan. She could have really given them a boost at campaign events and she chose not to. I don´t know why, but she said she wanted to be free to HELP the Republican party take back Washington. This was her big chance and she instead sat it out in Alaska. Since she wasn´t a factor in the election, I guess I can understand why FOX didn´t want to pay her a million dollars a year. I liked her enough that I would have voted for her had she decided to get into the Race. Sadly, she´s now yesterday´s news.

Oh please, Fox is so eager to be one of the big boy news networks now. It won´t really matter if Palin isn´t there anymore. We know, and so do all the elitists among us, that she will still be able to draw huge crowds and if the GOP were filled with smart men instead of good ole boys, they´d have understood what a gem she is instead of trying to shove her off the cliff. Yessiree - they gave us Dole, McCain and Romney. And I see Rove was re-signed. I turn the channel when he comes on - anywhere.

If Palin had campaigned for Romney/Ryan they still would have lost then posters could blame Palin and say she is too polarizing and caused us to lose the election. Am I right? We have posters who are addicted to blaming Palin,like many blame Bush, for anything and everything that goes wrong. Own it. Posters who scapegoat Palin are whiners who aid and abet our enemies on the left. Any strong conservative will be bashed by Republicans who are cino´s. The left need not worry about shooting down our conservatives, our cino´s will do it for them.

How kind of Mr. Tobin to provide all of this "complimentary friendly advice" to Sarah Palin, and for OP to post it here in case Ldotters may have missed it.

The eagerness of goodhearted concern for Sarah Palin´s political future is obvious for all to see.
All Palin "fans" and "true believers" are sure to be uplifted and heartened by the implication of this kind thoughtfulness from Mr. Tobin and OP that they and others like them will be shoulder to shoulder with Palin and her "fans" in every effort to restore Palin´s "lost credibility".
If not shoulder to shoulder, it is certain we can count on them to be out in front of her and at her back with much more similar encouragement and lots of "complimentary, friendly advice".

It´s hard to find words to describe such kindness and generosity, but, when words fail to express the proper appreciation, perhaps knowing that we know that´s just the kind of people they are will suffice.

Personally, I voted for her in 2008, and would be happy to vote for her again.

I agree it´s a little heavy on snark, but I can´t disagree with the conclusions/advice.

#8, I´ll bet it was an open secret among the candidates past and present that Romney was a weakling who secretly didn´t want it, but what could they do? Good for her, why should she go out on a limb for a loser?

The "rising stars" just look like RINOs to me, and will not bring me back to the republican party. We need real change that gets i the faces of the enemies of ths country - the domestic kind, and these lilly-livered wimps aren´t interested in engaging the enemy.

It is my understanding that she wasn´t asked to campaign for them. And the fact that she could probably outshine anyone in the GOP by pulling in crowds that they could only dream of. What RINO wants to deal with that? This article is snarky garbage. It is so nice to see that Sarah is still living rent free in the heads of the haters on the left and the right.

Don´t write Sarah off yet. I don´t believe she was invited to the convention nor was she invited to campaign for Romney. She was the energizer for the McCain campaign, more came out to see her than him. She was demonized because the left was afraid of her appeal.

#6, who do you consider aa "primary poster", and why should their opinion mean more than anyone else´s? Just because many of us aren´t able to respond to every article doesn´t mean our opinions aren´t just as valid as anyone else. I have never considered Ms Palin a liability, and there are thousands of others like me.

Tobin is a mouthpiece for the GOP Establishment. When his voice is no longer given much bandwidth, there will be hope again within the Republican Party.

Ms. Palin is a true American who supports the rule of law, free enterprise and the Constitution. I´d vote for her in a heartbeat. She has accomplished more than any sackful of brain-dead Democrats combined.
