| DENVER- A political generation ago, the West signaled the nation´s rightward swing - from the emergence of Ronald Reagan to the success of tax-limitation ballot measures in California and Colorado. But now the fabled expanse of jagged peaks, arid deserts and emerald coastlines is trending in a different direction. From Washington state - where voters in November legalized marijuana and upheld the legality of gay marriage - to New Mexico, once a hotly contested swing state that Republicans ceded to Democrats in the presidential campaign, the West has become largely Democratic terrain. There are, as always, exceptions.

Most Californians came from other states in the 40´s, 50´s, and 60´. They stayed long enough to ruin my state and are now leaving to ruin other states. I am a 4th generation Californian, my son is 5th and grandson 6th. We are all Conservatives. California did not mess up California. The rest of the nation did it to us.

Colorado has fallen. It rapidly transformed from a solid red state to a reliable blue state. The tipping point occurred in 2005-2006 when a combination of three factors --- a feckless Colorado GOP, uncontrolled illegal immigration and an influx of California liberals --- flip-flopped the political profile of the state. Republicans in surrounding red states are foolish if they think the same chain of events cannot happen to them.

The country is changing because liberals believe in liberalism and act on it. Conservatives stay at home, isolate themselves and their children, and then don´t vote. A people gets the government they deserve.

Same thing is happening in Montana.
The problem is that the Lo-Fo trash is moving out of the cities where it is getting too expensive to live, and moving to more rural areas. They bring their lazy welfare selves, and their ignorant kids. The lines at the unemployment and welfare offices are shorter, and no large brawls ensue.

It doesn´t JUST take "California loons moving in" to begin to sway a state towards the blue column. Passivity from the state´s GOP has a lot to do with it. Businesses hiring LOADS of illegals and nothing is done about it is another reason. The reasons aren´t the same for everyone.

One of the more bizarre memes propagated by the proabort left about the trial of Kermit Gosnell, who "faces 43 criminal counts, including eight counts of murder in the death of one patient, Karnamaya Monger, and seven newborn infants," is that Fox News has been almost as negligent in covering the story and the trial as the Big Three broadcast networks, and that conservative media in general have also mostly ignored the story. Through Monday evening, April 8, the Media Research Center´s Matt Philbin noted that Gosnell´s trial "has received exactly zero seconds of airtime on the broadcast networks."

Missouri appears to be the only state whose license bureaus also issue concealed weapons endorsements in conjunction with driver´s licenses. MOSCOW – Russia slapped sanctions on a pair of former top Bush administration officials, two former commanders of the Guantanamo detention center, and 14 other Americans in retaliation for a set of human rights sanctions the Obama administration imposed on a number of Russian citizens on Friday. Pro golfers, golf writers, and TV commentators are up in arms that Tiger Woods was only given a 2-stroke penalty for his illegal drop on the 15th hole yesterday. Tiger said last night that he dropped his ball two yards behind his previous spot, clearly violating the rule that you must drop "as nearly as possible" to your original spot.
