I´m in panic mode over how radically left this county could turn if obama slams amnesty down our throats. With millions of new legalized voters the GOP would be marginalized with no hope of ever winning another national election. If this happens the USA goes down like a rock. democrats with unrestrained power carry out their totalitarian wish list. Grab a tight rein. I thought I would not live to see the downfall of USA, but at age 59, I´m not so sure. Unless, of course, a death panel gets me before the surrender flag is raised.

Most people do not have a strong core belief and can easily be manipulated through emotions---envy, greed, guilt, etc to either take no action or take a desired action. This is how they won. Manipulation and fraud coupled with a populace well trained in rationalizing everything to meet their current personal wants and needs.
They were able to target the message and outreach efforts in the most effective way, for a given group. They built models of the population and ran them on computers, 50,000+ times a night, adjusting their ground game constantly, based on the results. They effectively became whatever folks wanted them to be the most, at any given moment.
With little to ground most people it was easy to manipulate them. Liberty as a concept and a reality is difficult to grasp with out strong morality and costly in effort, time, attention and money to maintain. Much easier to live in the moment and let someone else fight.
