Women in Combat: Why Did
Obama Avoid Congress?

Breitbart Big Peace, by Joel B. Pollak

Original Article

The most curious thing about outgoing Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta’s decision this week to allow women to assume combat roles in the military was the timing. It was announced just as departing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was testifying on Capitol Hill about the Benghazi attack--and came without any advance notification to Congress, much to the annoyance of Republicans on the Senate Armed Services Committee. It is not clear whether the administration wanted to bury the news--or highlight it, in the event that Clinton’s testimony had gone poorly.

They weren´t trying to hide it at all. It was on the news every 5 minutes. This is just another Obama go around. It´s part of conditioning the public to accept his edits without due process.I doubt there´s been a big surge in gays joining the military and not many women will sign up for combat. These are nothing but social engineering equality issues.

With Obama president and J effin Kerry as SoS,we´re not going to have many combat situations anyway, this is to please the radical feminists.

On top of that, they don´t have any plans to fix real problems,so they want to look busy.

If President Obama opened the International New York Times when he woke up at the US Ambassador residence Thursday morning in Rome, he would have been greeted by a full-page ad from the dissident "Catholics for Choice" telling him to ignore the Pope on questions of sexual morality. In what must have been a remarkably expensive full-page ad, "Catholics for Choice" asserts that Pope Francis, whom the President was scheduled to meet Thursday at the Vatican, "seems like a very nice man..." The group says he is "our spiritual leader but not our political leader." The ad charges that the

On Thursday, Vice President Joe Biden said he believes all of the country´s illegal immigrants are "already American citizens." "You know, eleven million people live in the shadows. I believe they´re already American citizens," Biden, who may run for president in 2016, said while addressing the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. "These people are just waiting, waiting for a chance to contribute fully. And by that standard, eleven million undocumented aliens are already Americans, in my view." According to The Hill, Biden also ignored a Congressional Budget Office report that determined that amnesty legislation would lower the wages of American

A Supreme Court hearing that aired all sorts of ways someone might try to assassinate the president did not bode well Wednesday for a group of protesters suing two Secret Service agents for allegedly mistreating them at a 2004 appearance of President George W. Bush. Several justices seemed concerned about whether the free speech rights of anti-Bush protesters in Jacksonville, Ore., had been violated. They were kept farther away from the president than another group that supported him, and there is no allegation that the demonstrators meant the president any harm. But the court gave no indication that it would let

Montrose vets have revealed the smallest victim of the massive five-alarm fire Tuesday is a cat who has survived but will need treatment for weeks. The cat, now called Phoenix, was brought to Montrose Vet Clinic Wednesday morning after being found in a garage at a townhouse across the street. She has severe burns with the fur on her body singed down to only a quarter inch and her eyes are badly swollen. "We don´t know if she will be blind," the practice manager at the clinic said of Phoenix, whose name was inspired by her rise from the ashes

AUSTIN, Texas— A federal appeals court on Thursday upheld Texas´ tough new abortion restrictions that shuttered many of the abortions clinics in the state. A panel of judges at the New Orleans-based 5th Circuit Court of Appeals overturned a lower court judge who said the rules violate the U.S. Constitution and served no medical purpose. In its opinion, the appeals court said the law "on its face does not impose an undue burden on the life and health of a woman." Texas lawmakers last year passed some of the toughest restrictions in the U.S. on when, where and how women

WASHINGTON — How does second lady Jill Biden prank her husband on April Fool´s Day? By disappearing on Air Force Two and then jumping out of an overhead luggage compartment. That´s according to Vice President Joe Biden. He´s dishing to talk show host Rachael Ray in a last-minute push for health care sign-ups. A newly-released report has revealed that two of Governor Chris Christie´s aides were romantically involved leading up to last year´s traffic closures. Bridget Anne Kelly, who infamously sent an email saying ´time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee´, was reportedly dating Christie´s former campaign manager Bill Stepien throughout much of his re-election race. The report, released today by a law firm Christie hired to investigate the scandal, said that the two had been a couple for months but had called things off a month before the George Washington Bridge lane closures. VATICAN CITY- U.S. President Barack Obama heard the Catholic Church´s concerns over his health care plan while on a visit to the Vatican on Thursday, but drew a cheerful response from Pope Francis when inviting him to visit Washington. The president appeared at ease and joked during the parts of his meeting with the pope that were open to a few reporters, but a brief Vatican statement issued later indicated that Obama´s private talks there had a more serious side. The statement said Obama, who was accompanied by Secretary of State John Kerry, was told of the Vatican´s concern about

She noted that the Golden State is dominated by Democrats and, while the state’s GOP is probably “beyond reviving,” the impression that the Democratic Party is corrupt at the state level has the potential to bring it back. Maddow began by reporting that a series of raids were conducted across Northern California on Wednesday in which a variety of politicians were arrested. The arrest of Sen. Former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld has said that ´a trained ape´ could do a better job managing American interests in Afghanistan than President Obama. The retired Republican made the insult while doing a phone-in interview for Greta Van Susteren´s Fox News show on Tuesday. He argued that the President made a serious error by failing to negotiate a status forces agreement with Afghan President Hamid Karzai. Gawker points out that such an agreement would effectively commit the United States to having a certain number of troops in the country for a number of years beyond the already-agreed-upon plan which

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) said the fault of struggling to sign up on the Obamacare exchanges didn’t lie with the faulty website, but with the people who weren’t “educated on how to use the Internet.” Explaining the reasoning behind the latest Obamacare delay, Reid said too many people just didn’t know to use their computer properly and needed more time. Apparently, it had nothing to do with the well-documented failings of the website that have embarrassed the White House for months. “We have hundreds of thousands of people who tried to sign up who didn’t get through,” he said.

Okay, THAT was certainly embarrassing. At the end of a joint news conference with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte in the Netherlands on Tuesday, the applause for Barack Obama came from a grand total of one guy. One. After thanking the crowd twice for suffering through his boring, standard worn-out spiel, Obama looked around the room, expecting the usual fanfare and applause he receives from his loyal followers back home. It never came. Instead, the Leader of the Free World was met with one slow, awkward clap. Question: was MSNBC’s Chris Matthews in the house?

U.S. President Barack Obama and Pope Francis met Thursday for the first time at Vatican City, offering a chance for a reset of sorts between the administration and Catholic leadership following years of strained relations. The goal of the meeting: Focus on areas where two of the world´s most influential men agree and gently tread ground where they differ. Nearly six in 10 people disapprove of President Obama´s job performance in a new poll by the Associated Press, the highest rating recorded by the newswire. According to the AP-GFK survey released Wednesday, 59 percent disapprove of Obama´s job performance while 41 percent approve. A similar poll released by the news outlet in January found 45 percent approved of him while 53 percent disapproved. Other recent polling has found Obama´s disapproval rating slightly lower, remaining in the low 50s. A CBS News poll Tuesday showed 50 percent disapproval, while Gallup has his disapproval at 52 percent. In the AP poll,

As the U.S. Supreme Court weighed the constitutionality of a contraception coverage mandate Tuesday morning, a federal appeals court heard a separate legal challenge that could have much more sweeping implications for the future of President Obama´s health care law. And if the oral arguments before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit are any indication, it’s time for the White House to start sweating over a lawsuit that up until now has flown relatively below the radar. At issue in the case are the subsidies that the federal government provides for individuals purchasing insurance through Obamacare. Though the text

On Wednesday, Obama administration officials announced a two week extension in the deadline to enroll in the Affordable Care Act or face a penalty defined as a tax. Asked about this “delay” in the implementation of the ACA on Wednesday, Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) said that there has been no delay. He added that some of the users who experienced problems with the website early on need more time, partially because “people are not educated about how to use the internet.” “There’s no hiccup or delay,” Reid insisted. “We had hundreds of thousands of people who tried to sign up and

On Tuesday night two things happened. 1. A trio of Secret Service agents were sent home from Amsterdam after one was found passed out drunk in a hotel hallway. 2. The Obama Administration announced (another) extension of the enrollment deadline for Obamacare signups. At first glance, these two events have little in common with one another. But, modern politics is all about narratives and storylines. And, both of these events confirm a growing concern from the public about President Obama: That he´s just not up to governing his administration and, by extension, the country, effectively.

One by one, the myths of the Affordable Care Act have been revealed. When the curtain on open enrollment falls on March 31, the last remaining big myth of ObamaCare will be fully exposed: The individual mandate has failed. After a last-ditch effort with President Obama himself encouraging "young invincibles" to sign up before the deadline, the administration is scrambling to boost enrollment. On Tuesday, the White House announced that people who applied for coverage on the federal health-insurance exchange will have until mid-April to finish the paperwork. The mandate was supposed to be the administration´s magical elixir for the assorted shortcomings

More than six million Americans have now signed up for private insurance under the Affordable Care Act, according to the White House, with just four days to go until the end of its first open enrollment period. While traveling in Italy on Thursday, President Obama shared the news in a conference call with thousands of health-care navigators and volunteers helping enroll people on state and federal marketplaces. As the volume of consumers seeking health plans has surged -- there were over 1.5 million visits to HealthCare.gov Wednesday and more than 430,000 calls to the marketplaces´ call centers -- Obama urged those on
