Reagan´s home could become a
parking lot for Obama´s library

Washington Times, by William Kelly

Original Article

CHICAGO, Illinois - A new Cold War is brewing here in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood and it has nothing to do with the zero-degree temperature. The apartment building at 832 E. 57th Street was once the Chicago home of a boy who would become a President. No, it’s not Barack Obama of Hawaii. It was here at the apartment’s first floor window that a young Ronald Reagan looked out upon the world. But some powerful Chicagoans are planning to demolish Reagan’s historic home. Is it politically motivated? Is Mayor Rahm Emanuel behind the move?

Comments:
The maliciousness of the regime and all who are associated with him is endless. Just imagine what would happen if the situation was reversed and someone wanted to destroy the historic home of the savior 0bama. The jackals in the media would be screaming like scalded dogs.

It´s an apartment house, an anonymous dwelling that people live in on a temporary basis. Reagan´s boyhood home is still in existence. Are we to preserve every dwelling of every president for all eternity?

There was an article about this Reagan "boyhood home" on lucianne a few weeks ago. As #8 said it is just an apartment house the Reagans lived in very temporarily for a short time and certainly never considered a boyhood home of his. The original article about this made that clear and most posters agreed. Of course the real Reagan boyhood home, in Dixon IL I think, has been preserved as it should be. Mr. Kelly is trying to make something out of nothing. It certainly isn´t anywhere near Reagan´s historic home.

Since Obama supporters are low information voters and have never gone to any library they need to do something to get people to go to Obama´s library. This way there will be a reason to go.

A couple of days ago, I counted the ways why I disliked President Obama following his recent interview with David Remnick of The New Yorker. In the interview, he attributed some of his unpopularity to racism. Dishonesty and disingenuousness are unbecoming a President and here’s another example from the same interview. Remnick follows Obama to a Democratic Party fundraiser at the home of former Microsoft President Jon Shirley near Seattle. He told donors, “I’m not a particularly ideological person.” He also went on to say, “There are reasonable conservatives and there are those who just want to burn down the

The indictment of a major critic of the president has elicited little more than yawns from the media. This is a case where you don’t even have to connect the dots. Just read a little history: After news broke Thursday that federal prosecutors had charged conservative commentator, author, film-maker and professional Obama-basher Dinesh D’Souza with violating campaign finance laws, Walter Olson at the Overlawyered blog posted on the relatively mild civil sanction meted out to a “big-league trial lawyer” who’d done pretty much the same thing D’Souza is accused of. D’Souza has been indicted for allegedly paying $20,000 to reimburse

President Obama has already changed his vernacular concerning his second term focus of "income inequality." He is now calling it "ladders of opportunity." In an apparent effort to blunt criticism over his intent to engage in full-blown class warfare during his second term, Obama is softening the harsher term with a new label. The Associated Press reports that Obama has shifted his rhetoric from "complaining" about income inequality toward language that creates an appearance that he is offering support for the middle class. Since his December 4 economic speech where he used the word "inequality" 26 times, the word is

As bloodshed and nuclear menace mount in the Middle East, China and North Korea flex their military and nuclear muscles in Asia, and America retreats almost everywhere, how will history judge Barack Obama? Is he the wise Dwight D. Eisenhower who understood the limits of American power and used military might as an instrument of peace? Or the appeaser Neville Chamberlain, whose naivete accelerated Hitler’s rise and led to World War II? Neither analogy rings true. But there are others whose choices more closely mirror Obama -- and they do not inspire optimism about where we are going. Winston Churchill was said to
