Court: Obama appointments
are unconstitutional

Associated Press, by Sam Hananel

Original Article

WASHINGTON -- A federal appeals court has ruled that President Barack Obama violated the Constitution when he bypassed the Senate to fill vacancies on a labor relations panel. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit says Obama did not have the power to make recess appointments earlier this year to the National Labor Relations Board. Obama claims he acted properly because the Senate was away for the holidays. But the court says the Senate technically stayed in session when lawmakers gaveled in and out every few days for so-called "pro forma" sessions.

Woo hoo! Finally some good news.

A good news story for a change that involves Obama. Hopefully this is the first of many of his power-grabbing decisions that will be found unconstitutional.

*Most* amusing!

Somewhat less than amusing are the slew of other ´laws´ Obama has seen fit to ´alter to his needs´ that he´ll *not* be held accountable for...

And it´ll be *very* interesting to see if he actually is in any way, shape, manner or form ´disciplined´ for *this* breech of law.

The smart money is on - ´Seriously???´.

obama´s next move is to appeal this decision to SCOTUS. Experience says, we can only count on 3 judges to uphold this. Kennedy is all over the place. Roberts betrayed Americans on health care. He can´t be trusted.

As an American Patriot, it is supremely frustrating to see a man who took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution, openly and deliberately ATTACK it without suffering ANY consequence whatsoever.

Jeferson tried to warn us that the greatest danger to liberty is a government that ignores the Constituition.

So how much worse is a government where a man FRAUDULENTLY occupying the highest office in the land, does not merely IGNORE the Constitution but actively works to erode it and undermine it ??

This skunk is the WORST thing that has ever happened to our Nation.

Excellent point, #21. What really got my attention most over those few days was the brutally abrupt end to the Dem gloating. Roberts intentions are known only to himself. What he did, was appear to give them what they wanted, while making the path extraordinarily difficult. Basically, he made them have to convince us.

IMO, by not throwing out ObamaCare, Roberts inoculated The Court --- The Roberts´ Court --- from future serious demonization by the Left, and Obama Inc. This was Roberts big concern, and he addressed it with his astounding ObamaCare opinion. So Roberts is free to either not hear, or agree with the lower court´s opinion on this one.

Following up last weekend’s official White House photo of President Obama talking on the phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the administration today released another phone photo, this one of a conversation with French President Francois Hollande. This one comes from Key Largo, Fla., where Obama is spending the weekend before returning to Washington to host a reception Monday for the 2012 and 2013 NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Champions before moving on to fundraising events Tuesday. “The President welcomed the strong, unified stance of the United States and the European Union regarding Russia’s military intervention in Ukraine, including

Two days after a shocking defeat, liberals are still grousing about the Senate spiking the nomination of former NAACP Legal Fund Director Debo Adegbile to be head of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division. But rather than take responsibility for putting forward a controversial figure who was sure to provoke bitter opposition from both sides of the aisle, liberals are reverting to form by blaming their defeat on conservative demagoguery and racism. WASHINGTON — In late December, President Barack Obama´s new legislative affairs team sent him more than a dozen recommendations for ways to improve his strained relations with Capitol Hill. The president responded with a few ideas of his own, including a request for more social events with lawmakers at the White House. One of the most seismic changes in American politics over the last decade has been the emergence of a sharp generational split among the electorate. The Democratic Party owes its success in the last two presidential elections almost entirely to overwhelming support among the very young, which has overcome continued conservatism among older voters. The Pew Research Institute has dominated the field of exploring the ideological cleavages among different generations. And its latest survey shows again how the liberalism of the youngest voting cohort, millennials, remains firm, and likely to continue to recast the electorate. A few charts from the survey

The most dangerous parts of a flight are takeoff and landing. Rarely do incidents happen when a plane is cruising seven miles above the earth.
