The Reagan-Obama Presidential Olympics
American Spectator, by Jeffrey Lord

Original Article

Think of it as a presidential Olympics. Barack Obama takes on Ronald Reagan. One on one, mano a mano. To mix metaphors, two presidential matadors competing for the gold. The contest, begun on election night of 2008, is now in the final four years. As is true with the athletic Olympics, the world is watching. Who will win history’s gold medal as a great president? Which man will prove to be the better president? It is January 20, 2017. President Somebody Else has just finished taking the oath of office. As tradition dictates, President Else walks

Comments:
Mr. Lord gives an excellent comparison of the loser 0bama and Reagan. 0bama loses, and we know he will at the end of this national nightmare.

It isn´t the race or the fight. That´s a given. It is the commentators lying through their teeth about what is taking place on the field we need to worry about. Too many people are, essentially, only listening to the television coverage.

This fly drawing individual is no match for Ronald Reagan! Ronald Reagan talked about the greatness of this nation and the generous people who inhabit it.

This O man seeks to humiliate this nation, distroy the industry, award those who are ignorant to the founding principles which made this country great.
I have never been so ashamed of this country than I am today to have a leader such as O and his white hating wife.

Dude, it could happen. Three easy steps to Romney 3.0: He comes out strong for amnesty to mend fences with Latino voters; he finally decides to ix-nay the “makers and takers” etoric-rhay, and of course he chooses Mike Huckabee to be his VP. Can’t. Miss. Seriously, though, this is just one Republican operative talking and he’s obviously joking. I think? In interviews with more than a dozen party officials, fundraisers, and strategists in New York and Washington over the past 10 days, Republicans described a palpable sense of anxiety gripping the GOP establishment in the wake of Christie’s meltdown, and an emerging

The United States has agreed to send new arms to Iraq to thwart Al Qaeda-linked militants currently controlling Fallujah following a request by Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, senior defense officials told Fox News. Army Col. Steve Warren, a Pentagon spokesman, declined to detail the immediate status of those trainers, but did confirm Maliki’s request, adding that the United States will send “several thousand” M-16 and M-4 rifles, as well as ammunition. The new weapons have been “sourced,” Warren said, and should arrive in Iraq in weeks. The United States is also in discussions with the Iraqis to send officials to

The myth of the poor, oppressed jihadist never dies. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry is the latest Obama administration official to peddle this odious narrative. Cue John Lennon’s cloying “Imagine,” don your plaid pajamas, and curl up with a warm cup of deadly naivete. While meeting with Catholic Church officials at the Vatican in Rome on Monday, Kerry expounded on their “huge common interest in dealing with this issue of poverty, which in many cases is the root cause of terrorism or even the root cause of the disenfranchisement of millions of people on this planet.” In other words: If

The Environmental Protection Agency has told farmers and ranchers it is sorry for handing private information about them over to environmental groups, but agriculture advocates who fear attacks from eco-terrorists say it´s like closing the barn door after the horses escaped. In response to Freedom of Information Requests, the federal agency released information on up to 100,000 agriculture industry workers, including their home address and phone numbers, GPS coordinates and even personal medical histories. The agency later acknowledged much of the information should never have been provided, and even asked the recipients to give it back. “If someone is setting

Newly released records confirm a 2012 Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT) report that the State Department cleared the way for a visiting delegation of Muslim Brotherhood officials to enter the country without undergoing routine inspection by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents. The April 2012 visit came before the Muslim Brotherhood´s candidate was elected Egypt´s president, although the Brotherhood´s Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) had won a plurality of seats in parliamentary elections. The expedited entry is known as a "port courtesy" normally reserved for high-ranking visiting government officials and dignitaries. There are no words to describe what happened Friday during a live event held by Covered California designed to increase interest among young people in the Affordable Care Act. Actually… there are words: insane, perplexing, inexplicable, and psychologically scarring come to mind. What was billed as a “live celebration of the 35 million Americans who now gain access to affordable health insurance under the Affordable Care Act,” the six and a half hour event rapidly — almost immediately — devolved into a celebration of the offbeat and eccentric. And it was fitness guru Richard Simmons who took us there. Millennials,

There is little doubt that Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-OH) is dodging a thorough, top-to-bottom, no-holds-barred investigation of the Benghazi terrorist attack. The only question is, “Why?” As the only non-governmental organization in the country litigating in federal court to uncover the full story about what happened before, during, and following the Benghazi massacre, Judicial Watch knows first-hand that the full story has not been told and that a massive cover-up is underway. Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.) this week re-introduced two bills aimed at reducing and preventing racially based outcomes in the criminal justice system. "From the biased use of ´stop and frisk´ policies to the impact of unfair mandatory minimum sentences on minority communities, there is widespread evidence that racial disparities pervade our criminal justice system," Cohen said. "These disparities undermine confidence in the system, threaten the cause of justice, and cannot continue in a society that holds fairness and equality in high regard." Cohen´s Justice Integrity Act would establish new advisory groups in all 10 of the nation´s judicial districts that

The Immigrant Detainee Legal Rights Act, H.R. 3914, establishes an Office of Legal Access Programs, which would educate illegal immigrants about their rights. The program would also help detained immigrants make "informed and timely decisions regarding their removal and eligibility for relief from removal." President Obama has told Senate Democrats he expects Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) to pass immigration reform this year, defying predictions the issue is dead for 2014. Obama believes Republicans will feel politically vulnerable, if they fail to advance the issue, a high priority among Hispanic voters, according to Democratic senators who met with the president this week. Obama sees immigration reform as a source for optimism in what has otherwise shaped up as a tough year for Democrats. “He predicted the House would pass something this year,” said Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.), who attended the meeting. Obama cautioned senators to brace themselves for difficult

Are you dazed and confused by Barack Obama, the nominal Democrat, whose conduct as president since 2009 has seen him sink from nearly 70 percent to 40 percent or less in the national polling, from which he has seemed to learn nothing, but still marches on? Former Virginia Gov. Robert F. The two were charged in connection with their relationship with dietary supplement executive Jonnie R. Williams Sr. Authorities alleged McDonnell and his wife received gifts from Williams again and again, lodging near constant requests for money, clothes, trips, golf accessories and private plane rides. In exchange, they alleged the McDonnells worked in concert to lend the prestige of the governorship to Williams’s struggling company, a

The bare-bones Wendy Davis story — the one without embellishment — is sufficiently inspiring as a matrix for defying expectations. The daughter of a teenage mother and a teenage mother herself, Davis managed to beat the odds by getting a college education and Ivy League law degree, then launching a political career that’s brought her national adulation. But since Davis’ Democratic gubernatorial ambitions caught fire last year, “facts have been blurred” in the retelling of her life’s story, as reported Sunday by this newspaper’s senior political writer, Wayne Slater.
