| Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will finally take questions from members of Congress on Wednesday about the deadly terror attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya. Lawmakers have long wanted Clinton´s full accounting of the September 11 assault that killed Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans. They also want to ask her about diplomatic security, which the State Department has since re-examined at posts located in overseas hot spots. Agency officials have acknowledged shortcomings and promised changes. Some of the toughest questions before the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the Senate Foreign Relations Committee are expected to focus

Poor little Barack Obama! Sharyl Attkisson of CBS keeps asking Wise King Barky uncomfortable questions about Benghazi, and ol´ Wise King Barky is too scared to answer! Wise King Barky even sent his spokespeople out to tell Attkisson that he won´t be answering her questions, ever!
Because that´s how brave, brave Wise King Barky rolls!
Want to make Barack wet his pants?
Ask him to tell the TRUTH.
As with ALL Democrats, the TRUTH is their greatest enemy.

1. The foxy minx will obfuscate or lie. 2. The MSM will help cover-up the foxy minx´s cover-up. 3. Republicans will throw up their hands and leave it at that.
That´s about all we can be sure about.

Very generous of CNN to include all the ´answers´ to these questions.
Just evil Republicans thwarting the honest and heroic efforts of this transformational administration.
I don´t usually krank up the margarita machine before noon but will make an exception today. We have so little to celebrate. We must not miss this op.

Transcript: Benghazi Hearing, House Foreign Affairs Committee:
CHAIRMAN ED ROYCE (R-CA): Welcome, Secretary Clinton. Where were you when news broke that our consulate in Benghazi was under attack? CLINTON: Whaaaa? CLINTON AIDE: The Secretary just returned from Mali, sir. Her hearing’s been damaged by an RPG round fired at her Humvee. [repeats question to Clinton] CLINTON: Fatigued after an overseas trip, I suffered a fugue episode just as I arrived in the Situation Room that night, Mr. Chairman. ROYCE: Who gave the order to ´´Stand Down´´? CLINTON: I’m told I was unsteady on my feet and the president asked me to ´´Sit down.´´ ROYCE: Do you and the administration take responsibility for lax security at the Benghazi compound? CLINTON: Mr. Chairman, I. . . . [sways, then falls forward, smashing her forehead on the table. Her personal physician attends her.] DOCTOR: A fainting spell, Mr. Chairman. Slight concussion, perhaps. She insists on continuing. CLINTON: [appearing dazed] You were asking about Ben Gazarra’s problem with Social Security Administration? ROYCE: Let’s move on. Did a YouTube video provoke the attack? CLINTON: No. It was the result of overmedication. ROYCE: Why did Susan Rice cover for you on the Sunday talk shows? CLINTON: Rice loses moisture if it isn’t covered while it simmers, Mr. Chairman. ROYCE: Madame Secretary, I ask again: who is ultimately responsible for the Benghazi debacle? CLINTON: That was a political station, not a church, sir. There was no tabernacle there. Anyway, I take full responsibility for whatever it is that happened I don’t remember. Now, excuse me or I’ll feint [sic] again. ROYCE: But, but . . . where was the president when. . . ? CLINTON: Whaaaa?

I believe Secretary Clinton should be grilled until medium well done. Make sure the coals are good and hot. To avoid food poisoning, she should be probed inside to make sure she gets to the correct temperature.

She deserves the "willing suspension of disbelief" treatment she gave General Petreas. Of course there is no chance the GOP won´t tee up softballs for her. By the way, piaps plagerized that line she sniped at the General.

I have already read that she is not going to answer all of their questions. It is a matter of "national security" don´tcha know. She is a consumate liar and will wiggle her way out of this. She has had three months to prepare. I hope the Republicans hit her hard and fast and do not give her time to think but they won´t. The MSM will call them meanies no matter what.

There were four supposed firings including the obese Charlene Lamb, who decided after consulting with others, not to grant sullivan´s request for more security, opting instead to train locals for security, along with kennedy, whatever he was, other than the person who whispered answers to Charlene, plus two others. Were they actually fired?? Or not??

Be assured of two things:
1. The Republicans WILL ask the tough questions.
and
2. Madame VRWC will appear to answer but will be on auto-obfuscation pilot.
Oh, one more: 3. The Republicans will be ´´out of time´´ to follow-up.
Uh oh, one more! 4. She´ll have made her appearance, the Committees will be done with her, and John Effin can come in tomorrow, free and clear of this mess, while Her Hillness goes home on Bill´s arm to start building her 2016 campaign.

They have heard from her in closed hearings, so most of this is for show anyway. But it would still be nice to see the GOP members give it to her anyway. They have waited a long time for this opportunity, and there should be no deference given to her. As far as Ms Lamb and others.. they were fired, but then hired on in another area.. so no one lost their job permanently anyway...well, other than Chris Stevens and the other 3 brave heros. Pathetic! Heads should have rolled from this and if they dont get Obama in on the grilling end, I give up on them all.

#25 - that´s what I want to know - where are the survivors - why no big "People" magazine with stories from those survivors -
oh, now she is talking so emotionally about putting her arm around the shoulders of those who lost loved ones in Benghazi -

Trying to analyze the coke-bottle glasses. She evidently can´t put her contacts in, but for what reason? I didn´t know a blood clot or a concussion would present a problem in wearing contacts. The only thing I can think of would be an eye infection. Or is this a subtle hint to the Congressional committees that you don´t punch someone wearing glasses - especially big thick ones. Or is this another subtle way of hiding? The picture on Drudge makes her look like the head secretary in a law office.

Loud cheers greeted Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus as they arrived at their homes Wednesday afternoon, almost one decade after they were abducted, subjected to prolonged sexual and psychological abuse, and were apparently bound with ropes and chains, in the Cleveland house of horrors. The happy homecoming came on the same day that 52-year-old Ariel Castro was charged with four counts of kidnapping and three counts of rape, and police officers pulled out over 200 items of evidence from Ariel Castro’s home on Seymour Avenue. Castro reportedly only let the women, who he forced to wear disguises,

Pat Hall wants to sell her house in north Oak Cliff. The place at 1026 N. Beckley Ave. should attract some interest, as it has for half a century. A guy named Lee Harvey Oswald lived there for a while in 1963. That is, until he was arrested and charged with killing President John F. Kennedy and Dallas police Officer J.D. Tippit. With the 50th anniversary of those events drawing near, Hall plans to list the property for sale June 1. No word yet on an asking price. But she has a minimum in mind. “It’s not going to be too low,”

Currently, city museums are prohibited from lawfully displaying firearms of historic value, according to the city´s long-standing gun ordinance. Burke said Wednesday he recently learned of the "anomaly in the city code." "Museums are caught in a dilemma that if they have in their collections artifacts that can be defined as firearms, even though there´s historical significance to the memento, they can´t be registered in the city

President Obama talks jobs Thursday in Texas. Starting a series of "Middle Class Jobs & Opportunity Tours," Obama travels to Austin to visit high-tech facilities and promote his plans for education and basic research funding. First, Obama visits Manor New Tech High School, where, the White House schedule says, "students are learning the real-world skills they need to fill the jobs that are available right now." Then the president tours Applied Materials Inc., "one of the high-tech companies that has made Austin a hub for innovation and job creation," said the White House. Obama is scheduled to make remarks at both places.

He’s still going on and on about it. And why shouldn’t he? It makes his pockets fatter. As well as everything else about him. The Globe and Mail: Declaring that “American democracy has been hacked,” former U.S. vice-president Al Gore told a Toronto audience that his countrymen needed to wake up to the special interests that have a grip on the levers of power in the U.S. Congress and are able to block legislation on a range of policy issues including his signature cause, global climate change…

“We have to destroy her story.” The speaker: Hillary Clinton. The man who took note of her words: George Stephanopoulos. “I was with her” later wrote the man who is now the anchor of ABC’s Good Morning America, noting his agreement. At the time — early 1992 — Hillary Clinton was simply The Wife. The chief adviser and partner in the then-blossoming presidential campaign of husband Bill Clinton. Stephanopoulos was the devoted Bill Clinton aide and public face of the Clinton campaign, on his way to making his eventual media career. Today, Hillary Clinton is a former Secretary of State and the front-runner

On Wednesday, Representative Darrell Issa’s House Oversight Committee convened the ninth round of hearings on the lethal September 11, 2012, attacks on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, a number of iterations made necessary by the administration’s manifold efforts to stall, stymie, and deflect the investigation. Testifying were Mark Thompson, acting deputy assistant secretary of state for operations, counterterrorism bureau; Eric Nordstrom, former State Department regional security officer for Libya; and Gregory Hicks, a foreign-service officer and former deputy chief of mission in Libya, who, after Ambassador Chris Stevens’s death that night, became America’s senior diplomat in country.

The D.C. Court of Appeals will allow several employers to move forward with a lawsuit that would prevent the National Labor Relations Board from ruling on their cases. Three companies had sued the NLRB on the grounds that it did not have the authority to rule on labor disputes. The motion of consolidation issued by the judges will combine the suits and allow them to move forward with oral arguments scheduled for September. Glenn Taubman, a lawyer with the National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation, hailed the victory as another step forward to restoring balance in labor disputes.

The Cleveland kidnapping drama was unfolding on the airwaves, hour after hour, a riveting spectacle that was overshadowing every other conceivable story. Nothing could possibly bump it from the nation´s television screens -- or so I thought. When word came Wednesday afternoon that a verdict had been reached in the Jodi Arias murder trial, the focus of the cable news universe immediately shifted from Ohio to Arizona, where the defendant was convicted of first-degree murder. It was a day of anguish and emotion -- and a revealing Rorschach test of media values.

Much has already been written and said about the lack of media attention the Kermit Gosnell abortion case has received. Folks like Democratic strategist Kirsten Powers and Atlantic writer Conor Friedersdorf have come out to lambaste the liberal media for an unwillingness to make the story front-page news until it was essentially shamed into doing so. It’s hard to say why the nation’s biggest news outlets ignored it for so long. After all, “If it bleeds it leads,” the famous news saying goes, and Gosnell’s got it all — sex, death, corruption, gore. And the knee-jerk explanation,

With 10 patterns, U.S. military branches out on camouflage front

In 2002, the U.S. military had just two kinds of camouflage uniforms. One was green, for the woods. The other was brown, for the desert. Then things got strange. Today, there is one camouflage pattern just for Marines in the desert. There is another just for Navy personnel in the desert. The Army has its own “universal” camouflage pattern, which is designed to work anywhere. It also has another one just for Afghanistan, where the first one doesn’t work. Even the Air Force has its own unique camouflage, used in a new Airman Battle Uniform. But it has flaws.

Republican lawmakers, who have spent months seeking to tie President Obama to last year’s deadly attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, are increasingly focusing their probe on a new target: former secretary of state Hillary Rodham Clinton. The GOP-led investigation of the Sept. 11, 2012, assaults that killed U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three others now centers heavily on the State Department and whether officials there deliberately misled the public about the nature of the assault. Three State Department officials are scheduled to testify before a House committee on Wednesday about the Benghazi attack and its aftermath.

The White House on Wednesday stood by its story that the Obama administration remained unsure exactly who was responsible for the attack on the U.S. diplomatic post in Benghazi nearly five days after it occurred even though new revelations show Ansar al-Sharia’s direct involvement. Gregory Hicks, the deputy chief of mission at the U.S. Embassy in Libya and a self-described whistleblower, testified before a Congressional committee Wednesday that the body of Ambassador J. Christpher Stevens was missing for hours during the attack after being dragged out of the diplomatic post in Benghazi.

Former Gov. Mark Sanford completed the trail to political redemption Tuesday with a win over Democrat Elizabeth Colbert Busch to reclaim his old seat in Congress. Sanford defeated Colbert Busch 54 percent to 45 percent, according to full unofficial results. Turnout was heavier than expected, with about 32 percent of the district’s 455,702 registered voters casting ballots. Sanford, who has never lost an election, returns to the 1st District seat he held for three terms from 1995-2001. It’s a remarkable comeback for a man many pundits had written off after his highly publicized affair with an Argentine

Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD), ranking member of the House Oversight Committee, tells Benghazi witnesses that "death is a part of life." CUMMINGS: And, as I listen to your testimony I could not help but think of something that I said very recently -- two years ago now -- in a eulogy for a relative. I said that death is a part of life, so often we have to find a way to make life a part of death. And, I guess the reason why I´m saying that, going back to something Mr. Nordstrom said, he wanted,

There was tragic incompetence, plainly, in the Obama administration’s handling of the Benghazi attacks, and even possibly some political calculation. It is a record that may well come to haunt Hillary Clinton, the first Secretary of State to lose an ambassador in the field in more than three decades, if she runs for president in 2016. But the obvious Republican effort to turn this inquiry into the Democratic (Obama) version of the Iraq intelligence scandal that has tarred the GOP since the George W. Bush years -- led by that least-credible of champions, the almost-always-wrong Darrell Issa --

British physicist Stephen Hawking has dropped plans to attend a major international conference in Israel in June, citing his belief that he should respect a Palestinian call to boycott contacts with Israeli academics. The University of Cambridge released a statement Wednesday indicating that Hawking had told the Israelis last week that he would not be attending "based on advice from Palestinian academics that he should respect the boycott." University officials said they had "previously understood" that Hawking´s decision was based solely on health concerns — he is 71 and has severe disabilities — but had now been told otherwise by Hawking´s office.

Ahead of the Benghazi hearings in which three witnesses are set to testify before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, Fox & Friends co-host Brian Kilmeade invited Fox News analyst Lt. Col. Ralph Peters to discuss the issue. Peters was unflinching in his criticism of the “cowardly” Obama administration — and the “establishment media” that aids it. “Is this a national security coverup?” Kilmeade asking, explaining that the witness testimony is expected to say the administration was deceitful in its handling of the situation. “The administration, facing the election, went into panic mode, wanted to contain it,”

Fans of Glenn Beck are complaining about what I wrote yesterday about his speech at the National Rifle Association convention, where he used a giant image of Michael Bloomberg photoshopped into what appeared to be an image of Hitler with his arm raised in a Nazi salute and wearing an armband. The Beck crowd now tells me that it wasn’t Hitler’s picture into which the New York mayor was transposed but that of Communist leader Vladimir Lenin. They say that means I owe Beck an apology along with the Anti-Defamation League and others who were also outraged by it.

Northwestern University continued to stumble over diversity issues this week as Mexican students voiced disagreement with a campuswide letter that advised students not to celebrate Cinco de Mayo by engaging in racially-offensive activities, such as eating tacos and drinking tequila. The letter was sent to students via e-mail, and published in The Daily Northwestern last week. Leaders of Alianza, a Latino student group, and the Associated Student Government called on students to remember that Cinco de Mayo commemorates Mexico’s victory over France in the Battle of Puebla. It is not a day to throw a sombrero-themed party, they said.
