People like Sir Dave are very eager to propose solutions involving death for groups of people, but they never want to give their own lives for the cause. Why is that?

Perhaps Sir Dave can put some weight behind his statements by offing himself.

It is disappointing indeed to see Attenborough among the enviro-crazies that desire another, much bigger, much more inclusive holocaust.

He said it himself. The earth by means of natural selection, will take care of any over population, should it actually occur. What Attenborough wants however, is for certain select humans to cull the herd in favor of specific attributes. In other words he, and his fellow liberals, want to play God.

We can easily feed twice as many people as we now have on the same food we currently produce. Just stop throwing food away and cut our calorie intake by about 40%. Everyone would be about the right size for a change and no one would starve.

I´m serious. Have you ever seen how much food just one restaurant throws away every day? How about your own week-old leftovers that you never ate?

But I will agree with David to a certain extent, "some" humans are a plague on Earth. Let me decide who.

Human beings are not a plague, and there is still room at the inn. It is true nature has taken a break from slaughtering us in the last century, but it will return, with famine and plague, whether we kill one another´s children or not. I say, not. Growing population has been a temptation to wipe out the Other from the dawn of recorded history, cf. Pharaoh. What we face in the near term is the likelihood of a population collapse. And by the way. Supposedly Africa´s population is growing, but is it? Are those numbers drawn from the models?

Actually, it isn´t WASPs that bought into Zero Population Growth. It is that people who live in a First World Nation type of culture just naturally restrict their own breeding.

As countries up their economies and the education levels of its citizens (especially their females), the population growth rate declines. It´s happening in India, and believe it or not, in the Arab countries.

Before people jump on me, I am a very conservative person and anti liberal.
Humans are, like a virus. We are the only species to be able to change the "balance of nature". Other animals eat what they eat, breed as they can and die when their numbers are not supported by what they require to survive. We as humans have the ability to change the natural order.
The problem is, how does a person react to the above.
I decided to have only 2 children and have seen that was a huge mistake.
I fed, housed, nurtured and educated my children. The have both become in the top 5% of productive society.
In the meantime, the underclass has reproduced with abandon and now out vote those like myself. In the end, our society will be communist and everyone will be underclass, except for the politicians and their few chosen friends.
In reality, if we limit population, we should limit reproductive rights of those that choose to be the non productive
