New Hampshire has most machine
guns per capita in the country

Foster´s Daily Democrat [Dover, NH], by Jim Haddadin

Original Article

Posted By:nhchemist, 1/21/2013 1:42:35 PM

The number of automatic weapons in New Hampshire increased dramatically after 2010, according to federal firearms records, although it remains unclear whether the growth is being driven by civilians, law enforcement or the military. The number of registered machine guns in New Hampshire spiked 80 percent between the end of 2010 and March 2012, according to the most current data available from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). (Snip) ATF data indicates there were 9,863 registered machine guns in New Hampshire as of last March, up from 5,479 in December 2010.

Comments:
That´s why NH has the lowest average murder rate for the last ten years. An armed society is a polite society.

No one in New Hampshire legally has "automatic weapons" except for military and law enforcement personnel. Automatic weapons are not available to the general public. Is it any wonder the vast majority of the American public are irredeemably stupid and uninformed?

Sigh.... #2 yes, the general public CAN possess automatic weapons. Its called a tax stamp. It is a cumbersome and lengthy process, but it can be accomplished (I would tell you how it is done, but I don´t want the Gov to know).

But do go on about the how the vast majority of the American public are irredeemably stupid and uninformed....

#2 really ought to get all his facts straight before correcting others. Fully automitic weapons, including .50 cal Browning Machine guns are legal. They are called class III weapons and although you have to go through alot of paperwork and a deep background check to get one, and you have to pay a tax on them, and they are very expensive, they are available. There are plenty of them in NH. I have been to several machine gun shoots myself and there is some amazing stuff on the firing line. Google Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot and you will see what I mean.

Just read the article. lots of good info on the process. the scary part is how law enforcement agencies ,and there are more and more of them at state and especially federal (The U.S. Department of Education has a swat team!)are being militarized with full auto weapons.

The people of America have armed themselves ever since Obama took office. They recognize a dictator/tyrant when they see on. The ones that do have guns have them in record numbers. I was surprised how many the average gun owner has. You will never be able to count them all because they aren´t telling how many. Polls on this would not even begin to tell how many there are.

Good for NH. Live free or die. It´s coming down to that phrase.

Perhaps #2 is from WA state where it IS illegal to own fully automatic weapons. I´ve had to correct a few "gun" people here who didn´t realize they were illegal due to geography.

My personal opinion is that a private individual should be able to purchase and own anything that is available to the military/government.

FTA: Civilians seeking to own machine guns must fill out paperwork for the ATF and satisfy requirements to gather fingerprints and photographs, and to obtain the sign-off of the chief law enforcement officer where they reside. The documentation is then processed by an ATF examiner — a process that currently lasts a minimum of about five months, according to Evan Nappen, a Concord attorney who specializes in weapons laws. "There´s a lot of paperwork and there´s a lot of regulation," Nappen said.

Tyranny. Any questions?

Gov. Bobby Jindal of Louisiana recently told a Nashua, N.H., audience about his experience with a school bully. Bullying is a nationwide problem, but the bully Jindal was describing was U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, who recently tried to crush school choice in Louisiana. Last Monday, March 17, parents in New York City who send their children to Success Academy, a Harlem charter school, filed suit in federal court to stop another school bully, Mayor Bill de Blasio, from denying them previously arranged space in a public school building.

The American gun control movement is going corporate. Still reeling from the stinging legislative defeats of 2013, proponents of tougher firearm regulations are increasingly turning their focus to private sector campaigns. Gun control groups have claimed victories in recent months, successfully pushing Starbucks to declare guns unwelcome in stores and persuading Facebook to crack down on unregulated firearm solicitations. With no end in sight to the congressional gridlock that has thwarted more stringent federal gun laws, groups say they will continue to apply pressure on major companies.

Rejecting the rigidly hierarchical and stratified societies of the ancient world, Jesus Christ taught the equal dignity of all persons, proclaimed that the meek shall inherit the earth, and declared that the last shall be first and the first shall be last. The Western world has been working out the logic of these subversive teachings ever since, with the institutional transformation of marriage being the latest, though surely not the last, example of its social, moral,
