Keeping with her navy theme from yesterday, Michelle Obama once again stepped out in a tailored navy coat this morning by Thom Browne. The First Lady arrived at St. John´s Episcopal Church across from the White House this morning with daughters Malia and Sasha, her mother Marian Robinson and the President, keeping pre-inaguguration tradition. According to NBC News´ White House Correspondent, Kristen Welker, Mrs Obama´s Thom Browne coat was made from fabric specifically developed to mimic the style of a man’s silk tie. Thom Browne is still best known as a menswear designer, and he often channels

As much as it kills me, I have to admit this is one of the better things she has worn. You can´t see the dress so that opinion could easily change since the article mentions a "J Crew belt." Belts and the Mooch don´t always mean a good thing.

On this day of Mourning in America, otherwise knows as Obama´s inauguration day, I´m wearing a style of outerwear inspired by sheep. Otherwise knows as fleece.

It´s a must-miss event today and the TV stays off, lest their mugs accidentally appear on screen.

She finally looks smart and like a first lady should look, except for that ridiculous wig. She is too old for bangs for Pete´s sake. Yesterday she wore a cardigan for the swearing in ceremony. She obviously has aging issues and doesn´t want to grow up.

The kids have nice coats. Why wouldn´t they, they only have the unlimited funds of the American taxpayer. My kids are wearing their same coats from last year because here in the real world, the economy still stinks....unexpectedly!

The bangs do a great job of disguising her eyebrows that arch to give her a very intimidating look. I disagree with her being too old to wear bangs...I´m near 60 and wear them...and, always have. This is as nice as I´ve seen her look. The girls look nice, too, especially the older daughter.

In all of the first family photos here there are only two smiling. The others are all waiting to get smacked down if they move out of line.

And I haven´t even looked at these pictures. I don´t want to spoil a perfectly nice Southern California day.

The column I wrote last week, it turns out, has created somewhat of a storm. This is due to one thing only: Rush Limbaugh read it aloud on his radio program. (Start reading in the middle from where it says “BREAK TRANSCRIPT.”) That one decision by Rush led all of our mutual enemies to go viral, sending numerous Tweets and Facebook posts attacking Rush and me for supposedly arguing that the anti-Semitic neo-Nazi Glenn Miller acted because of Max Blumenthal. Of course, as I wrote last week in an addendum, this was not the point I was making. I wrote the following, and repeat it once again:

Iran is insisting that the United States accept its decision to appoint a former terrorist as it representative to the United Nations, which held a closed-door meeting on Tuesday to address Tehran’s concerns over the matter. President Barack Obama signed into law last week a widely supported bill preventing countries from appointing terrorists as their U.N. ambassadors. The bill came in response to Iran’s selection of Hamid Aboutalebi as its next envoy to the United Nations. The pick drew outrage on Capitol Hill and elsewhere after Aboutalibi was identified as having played a key role in the 1979 Iranian hostage crisis,

When President Obama becomes the first U.S. president to visit Malaysia in almost half a century, he will visit a prominent mosque on Sunday – but not a church, in a country where relations between the Muslim establishment and minority Christians have not always been smooth. Also, Obama’s itinerary includes a meeting with “Malaysian civil society leaders,” but according to the White House he will not meet with Anwar Ibrahim, the veteran opposition leader who since the late 1990s has been embroiled in a legal battle with the government widely viewed as a politically motivated harassment campaign. As I’ve been writing for more than six months, the Census Bureau office in Philadelphia uncovered a case of fraud in 2010, did nothing about it and allowed the practice to continue. In that instance, a data collector named Julius Buckmon was faking reports that went into the nation’s all-important jobless tally and consumer-inflation survey.
