Obama 2.0: Destroy the
GOP as National Party

Breitbart´s Big Government, by Mike Flynn

Original Article

Since winning reelection, President Obama has been aggressive, combative and supremely confident in his public appearances. Like many reelected Presidents, he enters his second term believing he has a personal mandate from the voters. Unlike many others in their second term, however, he seems focused not on achieving specific policy results, but in reshaping the American political landscape. He is set to use the next four years to make the Republican Party a toxic brand in many parts of the country. He has navigated the "fiscal cliff" negotiations and the coming debt debate without any actual

Out of the shadow of the Free Soil Movement, the Republican Party was born -- begun as a reaction to the Great Compromise of 1850 and more specifically the Fugative Slave Act. The party grew exponentially in the wake of the Kansas- Nebraska Act and the Dred Scott decision. The purpose was not only to end the ravages of slavery, but to preserve the way of life and the freedoms of the small businessman, the Yankee peddler, the Kansas farmer, the California prospector. To keep the American dream alive by preserving a free, wild, and open west where anyone could chase his dreams without fear of the whip or the burden of a caste system fit for Ancient Egypt or the perfidy of politicians clogging the arteries of progress. That is a party worth saving. Let the Neo Know-Nothings go start their own party. Let them take their rightful and spiteful place on the bench of history. Time for the party founded on freedom, equal rights, and independent perogative to be born anew, born again for a 21st Century where freedom and independence is on the run and in desperate need of defense.

Thank you #6. I´ll say it again...The party is NOT the elected politicians nor even party bosses. The party is the PEOPLE! We are the party. Don´t trip on RINOs and such. We just need to stop electing them--especially the professional politicians. But it is incumbent upon us to save the party. The pro pols don´t care enough..,they are just in the game for themselves. They just want power and wealth the office gives them. We need to get involved and start our own communication campaigns to get the truth out and to educate the public. We can turn the tides if we all work on it. But we need to be the voice of the party. We need to make ouselves heard. We must fight the lies with truth and persuasion. We need to learn how to communicate clearly and persuasively. The left learned the art of word manipulation and has been successful in applying it. Now we must learn to counter it and win over hearts and minds. Are you up for the challenge? I hope so...

Rush Limbaugh was first, as usual, to see this coming. Then Krauthammer and O´Reilly saw it. Now Mr. Flynn. It is safe to say they are all right.

Obama´s MO is to clear the playing field of all opposition. That is how he got his Senate seat and everything else he has and wants. Using Alinsky tactics such as "Pick the target, freeze it", isolate it, destroy it, the media´s complicity in this MO has made Obama the most successful Postmodernist in American politics -- he´s a destroyer. Perhaps even The Destroyer, who knows?

I join #’s 6.8.12 and 13. The Democrats, particularly under the leadership of a bitter Alinskyite community agitator, use smears and ad hominem attacks and character assassination against anyone whom they run against. If Republicans are to attract decent men and women into public service they first must recruit the very large majority of decent and honorable Americans in this country who are repulsed by these tactics. Every time the Democrats launch one of these despicable public smears, there must be a chorus of public rebuke led by the Republicans.

We so have a dearth of strong leadership in the party today, but until decent and talented men and women stay on the sideline for the protection of their reputations and integrity and that of their families, we won’t soon find any. We need some fearless enforcers who aren’t afraid to take on the bullies of the Left. Newt comes to mind.

KIEV, Ukraine — The head of Ukraine’s new pro-Western government will meet with President Obama this week, the White House announced Sunday, as a defiant Russia took further steps to consolidate its hold on the Crimean Peninsula. The announcement of Wednesday’s meeting in Washington with Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk came as pro-Russian forces extended their reach in Crimea, surrounding a border post in the far west and blocking Ukrainian TV broadcasts to the heavily- Russian-speaking region, which lies more than 400 miles southeast of the Ukrainian capital. There were reports of more troop movements into Crimea, with officials in Kiev estimating

Peter Beilenson dreamed of bright, affordable health-care centers in working-class neighborhoods, staffed with doctors paid a flat salary — rather than per patient — and lifestyle coaches encouraging healthier living. Tiny waiting rooms would reinforce the message that all patients would be seen quickly. A human would always answer the phone. Specialists could immediately be consulted by videoconference. And there would be free yoga. Such common-sense approaches, Beilenson believes, will eventually drive down health-care costs. Buried in President Obama’s newly enacted Affordable Care Act, he found a way to test that theory. But because of hard-to-resolve problems with Maryland’s new

Many of the headlines after day two of the Conservative Political Action Conference were about Rick Perry’s well-received speech, in which he harped on what he deemed the “two Americas”: red-state America and blue-state America. But as much as the Texas governor’s morning address impressed the crowd, it was the second event in which he participated Friday that will be far more important if the Republican Party is serious about winning more swing voters in 2016. Perry appeared alongside several other conservatives, including Grover Norquist, on a panel about criminal justice reform and how those reforms are being pushed by

Paul Ryan, addressing the Conservative Political Action Conference this week, disputed the notion that “the Republican Party is in this big, massive civil war.” “I don’t see this great divide in our party,” the GOP’s 2012 vice presidential nominee said. Ryan had a point. The notion of “civil war,” often used to describe the clash between the Republican establishment and the tea party, implies a conflict with identifiable sides. In reality, the GOP condition is more of a free-for-all. The annual CPAC gathering, conservatism’s trade show, provides a snapshot of the anarchy: The group’s much-celebrated straw poll of presidential candidates

BEIRUT — Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is taking advantage of the rift between Russia and the United States over Ukraine to press ahead with plans to crush the rebellion against his rule and secure his reelection for another seven-year term, unencumbered by pressure to compromise with his opponents. The collapse last month of peace talks in Geneva, jointly sponsored by Russia and the United States, had already eroded the slim prospects that a negotiated settlement to the Syrian war might be possible. With backers of the peace process now at odds over the outcome of the popular uprising in Ukraine,

Vladimir Putin is a lucky man. And he’s got three more years of luck to come. He takes Crimea, and President Obama says it’s not in Russia’s interest, not even strategically clever. Indeed, it’s a sign of weakness. Really? Crimea belonged to Moscow for 200 years. Russia annexed it 20 years before Jefferson acquired Louisiana. Lost it in the humiliation of the 1990s. Putin got it back in about three days without firing a shot. Now Russia looms over the rest of eastern and southern Ukraine. Putin can take that anytime he wants — if he wants. He has already

Whenever President Obama has sought to turn up pressure on Republicans on issues important to Latinos, he has found reliable partners in Spanish-language TV networks Univision and Telemundo. Republicans circled around Rep. President Obama sent Congress a $3.9 trillion budget blueprint Tuesday that seeks fresh spending to boost economic growth but also aims to tame the national debt by raising taxes on the rich, squeezing payments to health-care providers and overhauling immigration laws. Congressional Republicans immediately rejected the request for fiscal 2015, saying that the proposal would bust limits on agency spending that the White House endorsed in December. But the blueprint, the fifth of Obama’s presidency, was not designed primarily to influence the latest round of Capitol Hill budget talks. One of the most seismic changes in American politics over the last decade has been the emergence of a sharp generational split among the electorate. The Democratic Party owes its success in the last two presidential elections almost entirely to overwhelming support among the very young, which has overcome continued conservatism among older voters. The Pew Research Institute has dominated the field of exploring the ideological cleavages among different generations. And its latest survey shows again how the liberalism of the youngest voting cohort, millennials, remains firm, and likely to continue to recast the electorate. A few charts from the survey
