Public Gloomy Ahead
of Obama Inaugural

Breitbart´s Big Government, by Mike Flynn

Original Article

When Barack Obama first took the oath of office in 2009, he enjoyed around 70% approval ratings in the polls. His historic election had triggered a groundswell of hope and good feelings about his first term. By overwhelming majorities, Americans were hopeful about the future. Just days before his second inauguration, however, a new poll from The Hill finds that the public is much more pessimistic about the next four years. Just 18% of voters believe that Obama´s first term exceeded their expectations. 80% feel the first term fell below or simply met

You know, I still can´t get my head around this election. There is something so WRONG about the whole thing. Massive fraud, an incredible acceptance by the Romney camp -("oh I lost? OK.). Dems don´t do that. No One is excited about the Inauguration. The whole thing is just weird.

#3, several people said that to me the day after the election. These folks, Romney voters but working in Obama environments, commented that no one was happy with Obama´s re-election. Will we ever know anything about this creep?

Not gloomy. Utter disbelief and PO´d that this incompetent is POTUS.
Not in a million years did I ever think I´d see this day. And two terms yet!

We survived FDR, just barely, and his grimy fingernails still grasp at us, but this guy is something else. And it´s not pretty.

Where is our Reagan? Where is our Churchill?
Where are our statesmen?

I don´t even know how you conduct a poll like this when half the country had no expectations of him the first time. You have to be a real sap to believe any of Obama´s deceitful, false promises of Utopianism.

Still, there´s enough people clinging to Obama because the alternative is getting a job, something unemployed leftists dread.

If conservatives got duped by a false god president, they would be the first ones to come out and attack the person, yet no one on the left will call Obama out on his composite of failures.

It should have been a tip off when Obama bowled a 34.

Oddly, no Democrat has demanded that the Obama Inaugural be declared a gun-free zone, so Dear Leader can show his solidarity with "the children". Come on, Democrats - show us how much you care and demand a Gun-Free Obama Inaugural! Be honest for once, and show us how good your intentions are..

Keep a close watch on his behavior. He is spending us into oblivion, he has messed up foreign policy, he is attacking our Liberty and dismanteling the Constitution, and starving our military of necessary funds, while performing social experiments sure to hurt the military. He refuses to close our border and wants to play Santa Claus to illegals and give free things to his people, all the while squeezing those of us still left out there with paying jobs, and messing up royally the greatest Medical Care system in the World. That is what he has DONE..trust the behavior which darn sure doesn´t match the words.

I´ve been doing a lot of reading and thinking since Romney lost, trying to make some sense out of what appears senseless. My current theory is that psychologically our nation is mimicking Germany pre-WW II. The irrational has been embraced by the majority of voting Americans who have given unlimited power to those in charge as long as they champion the irrational. Carl Jung would say this is the result of not consciously acknowledging the shadow (the evil within all humans - not believing it exists) which will inevitably lead to man´s shadow getting stronger and manifesting in the world since it has been repressed / not recognized and dealt with by the individual.

Long story short - the only way this can now play out since a critical mass has been reached is a whole lot of really bad stuff has to happen until such time that the irrational has been exhausted and the survivors stare in disbelief over the wasteland their ignorance created.

A complete revamp of the voting process is called for. Picture Voter ID. Certify that voter rolls are purged of dead voters. No more early voting where SEIU can ferry voters to the polls for days on end. At least this would be a start. And yes, I´m suggesting the election was stolen.

Contradictory on its face: 18% to 80% in the polls, yet zero won it by a "narrow but solid" margin.

The election was more than stolen. It had been engineered at least since the debates. Zero could hardly muster the gumption to argue with Romney at the first debate because he knew it was in the bag then.

Unfortunately, everything in America must now be postponed while we get our vote back.

The election was engineered. It was our vote that was stolen, and with it, the lives of our fathers who bought it for us with their futures.

This is America´s blood libel.

I grimaced when I read he won "by a solid majority." Just this week I talked to another hard-core Democrat who said Romney was the first Republican she had ever voted for. Obama ´won´ by voter fraud....pure and simple....he knows it but still wants to lord his ´victory´ over all of us and shove his agenda down our throats.

Since #22 believes I may be on to something, let me paraphrase what Jung would probably say about our present situation:

Loss of roots and lack of tradition just ask for neurosis and thus prepares the ground for mass hysteria which will result in individual liberty vanishing and terrorization to begin.

It is astounding and depressing to see how simple and gullible the majority of Americans have become.

There was a time when Americans were known as sharp bargainers and hard to fool or get the better of.

Now we look out and see a nation largely peopled by drooling nincompoops, eager for a chance to follow a black-skinned charlatan because it feels good and proves (to themselves) that they aren´t racists.

19 - it is really simple. Romney was a lousy candidate. He might have been the best guy for the job, but a lousy candidate. His campaign did everything they could to disintermediate the Conservative voters, and he never was going to overcome the rich, evil white guy label that everyone knew was going to be coming and he´s as dynamic as milquetoast.

With Romney, the Repubs didn´t have someone who was going to be able to overcome the fraud, and ground game that the Dems had set up.

And now, the Republican Party is movijng faster, following in his footsteps, disintermediating the Conservatives in the party, and doing nothing but appearing to be "almost Democrats".

Think it´s ugly now. Just wait till 2015.

#19/28 – I have also been trying to make sense of the senseless, and concur with your current theory. The parallel between our times and pre-WWII Germany has been pointed out by many Ldotters over the last four years, but your reference to Jung provides a explanation for our current societal psychology, and its inevitable chilling conclusion.

We are all well aware of the progressive’s century-long dismantling of our American traditions, and tearing our cultural roots from the soil of liberty. They were able to accomplish this by convincing people that evil does not exist and therefore need not be acknowledged or addressed by moral discipline. I believe Pope Leo XIII warned that the greatest accomplishment of satan in modern times was convincing people he did not exist. He said this at the turn of the 20th century. This is not a new problem.

I remember the nuns in school teaching us about the importance of a daily examination of conscience, including identifying our motives and particular temptations. We were expected to know our weaknesses and to avoid “the near occasions of sin.” We were to be responsible for the content of what we chose for entertainment; reading, TV, movies, activities. If we gave in to our moral weaknesses, if we did not resist temptation, if we followed unbridled passions, we would experience the “just consequences.”

And so as #28 observes, “Loss of roots and lack of tradition just ask for neurosis and thus prepares the ground for mass hysteria which will result in individual liberty vanishing and terrorization to begin.”

God have mercy on America.

Like many I am really bothered by the election (Fraudlently?) by Obama.
1.) according to the Daily Mail @ http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2210323/Obama-family-costs-taxpayers-1-4BILLION-year.html
The Obamas cost this Country $1.4 Billion a year.
2.) No one EVER discusses his Health? WHY?
3.) Notice how he never seems to stay around the WH very often or for long periods?
4.) Wonder why they have ordered a large number of buses to block his parade route down Penna. Ave after he´s sworn in?
5.) There was only a brief mention and then nothing; on the fact that they found a bullet in the door face of the Truman Balcony last year. ( where Zippy goes to sneak a smoke.)
6.) For a sitting President, his behavior seems to suggest that he is running scared as hell, and afraid for himself.
7.)It all seems to point to the fact that Zippy has to wonder IF something were to happen ( ala Pres. Reagan) WOULD those SSA´s really step up and take a hit for an avowed Socialist Community Organizer Commie?
8.) NO wonder he bobs and weaves around...I would not be him for all the tea in China.

On OReilly last night he talked about the inevibility of the economy crashing soon because of the unsustainable debt, and how all our money and assets will be worthless. What I want to know is, why don´t members of the media care about this - they all have a lot of assets. I only conclude that they don´t believe it will happen, they engage in magical thinking.

I too notice that Obama spends very little time at the Whitehouse, he gallivants around far too much to be able to be really running the country. Therefore, it´s Jarrett and all the toadies and ivy league pointyheads making decisions. Then you look at how idiotic so many congress members are, and we get a realistic picture of what our government is comprised of, and it is sickening.

I have been robbed of my hope and my pride in this country, and I know the next four years will be hell. How he won re-election I will never, ever understand. But it has sealed our fate, I´m afraid.

#42´s questions are excellent ones, and if we had true journalists, some of them might be answered. Just as other Ldotters, I am still in disbelief that Obama won re-election. However, I do remember him stating very confidently that he would win - it struck me as odd at the time he said it because his and Romney´s numbers were so close. There was a certainty when he said it, and it wasn´t false bravado. Everything about the man is creepy.

Before the Obama administration gave an inaccurate narrative on national television that the Benghazi attacks grew from an anti-American protest, the CIA’s station chief in Libya pointedly told his superiors in Washington that no such demonstration occurred, documents and interviews with current and former intelligence officials show. The attack was “not an escalation of protests,” the station chief wrote to then-Deputy CIA Director Michael J. If Betsey McCaughey is correct (and I bet she is, because she has not only read the entire ObamaCare bill, she has written a book about it), Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan publicly humiliated herself during the oral arguments on the Hobby Lobby case, revealing that she either did not read the law, or failed to comprehend it if she did so. Writing in the New York Sun, McCaughey lays out what is wrong with the Justice’s declaration about Obamacare: she asserted that the statute itself mandates provision of birth control. Not one word in the Affordable Care Act guarantees health plans will cover birth control products.

More than half of the 2.6 million Americans dispatched to fight the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan struggle with physical or mental health problems stemming from their service, feel disconnected from civilian life and believe the government is failing to meet the needs of this generation’s veterans, according to a poll conducted by The Washington Post and the Kaiser Family Foundation. The long conflicts, which have required many troops to deploy multiple times and operate under an almost constant threat of attack, have exacted a far more widespread emotional toll than previously recognized by most government studies and independent assessments:

Military officials said they are investigating the conduct of a U.S. Marine who was on assignment for President Obama’s trip to the Netherlands last week, after witnesses said he was talking in detail about his job and passing around his government security badge during a night of drinking at a bar. The Marine, Korey Nathan Pritchett, was first identified by a Dutch newspaper based on witness accounts and smartphone photos taken during the partying, which happened two nights before Obama arrived at The Hague for a nuclear security summit. The Washington Post confirmed and expanded on that reporting through interviews,

TBILISI, Georgia Halfway through an otherwise coherent conversation with a Georgian lawyer here — the topics included judges, the court system, the police — I was startled by a comment he made about his country’s former government, led by then-president Mikheil Saakashvili. “They were LGBT,” he said, conspiratorially. What did that mean, I asked, surprised. Were they for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender rights? For gay marriage? Were they actually gay? He couldn’t really define it, though the conversation meandered in that direction for a few more minutes, also touching on the subject of the former president’s alleged marital infidelity,

Democrat Rep. Nancy Pelosi just might be a racist monster who wants to murder live children for the sake of eliminating “undesirables.” Why would I say such an outrageous thing? Because Pelosi has accepted an award named for Margaret Sanger. And Margaret Sanger was definitely a racist monster who advocated murdering live children for the sake of eliminating “undesirables.” Quote: The most merciful thing that the large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it. That’s advocating child murder. It’s not racist, but we’re not done. Sanger considered racial minorities to be “human weeds.” In context,

Barring a miraculous upsurge in President Obama’s dismal 41% approval rating, Hillary Clinton’s run for president in 2016 will be a steep uphill climb. Clinton will need to walk a political tight rope, distancing herself from Obama without coming across as a disloyal member of the president’s political coterie. "Secretary Clinton is distancing herself a bit on foreign policy matters from the administration recently," said John Hudak, a Brookings Institution fellow and expert on presidential campaigns. "This is a pretty standard practice for anyone looking to succeed the sitting president, even within the same party." Nevertheless, Hillary enjoys the fruits

A federal appeals court Thursday handed women in Texas a big win by upholding health and safety regulations that had been challenged by Planned Parenthood. Last year Texas passed a law that requires abortion doctors to have admitting privileges at a hospital no more than 30 miles from where the abortion is provided. The appeals court quoted a board-certified Ob/Gyn who explained that requiring admitting and staff privileges “provides a more thorough evaluation mechanism of physician competency” and “acknowledges and enables the importance of continuity of care.” The appeals court explained that the “specter of Dr. Kermit Gosnell” informed the

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, in a closed-door address to a group of Republicans this week, issued a spirited defense of a broader role for the U.S. in the world, saying President Obama’s leadership has left a vacuum that’s been filled by “dictators like Bashar al-Assad in Syria and Vladimir Putin in Russia.” Speaking at the National Republican Congressional Committee’s annual fundraising dinner on Wednesday, Ms. Rice also said the party needed to embrace a softer image on immigration and declared school choice “the great civil rights issue of our time.” But she spent the majority of her time

When Sen. Ted Cruz was in the middle of his 21-hour filibuster, he had already read “Green Eggs and Ham” to his children via C-SPAN, found himself killing time and needed a way to praise his fellow filibusterist, Sen. Mike Lee. So he tapped into his actor’s training and summoned up his best Darth Vader impression. It was the impressionistic coming-out for the Texas Republican, who has since trotted out his versions of Jay Leno, Winston Churchill and fictional swordsman Inigo Montoya from the movie “The Princess Bride.” The impersonations have sparked laughter and applause from audiences and have added another

A "vast majority" of Mitt Romney donors, establishment pooh-bahs, and an anti-conservative consultant who is the epitome of permanent political class want former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush to run for president in 2016. Bush was in Las Vegas this week meeting with Sheldon Adelson, and, according to the Post, "many if not most of 2012 GOP nominee Mitt Romney’s major donors are reaching out to Bush and his confidants with phone calls, e-mails and invitations to meet." One bundler even said that a "vast majority” of "Romney’s top 100 donors would back Bush." The Post also noted that in the meantime "Bush’s

I have no objections to Jeb Bush running for president. He obviously has a wide appeal as a potential candidate. (Snip) His support of Common Core, however, will also find many who are in the conservative ranks objecting, since they fear that Common Core represents educational centralism and having the government ram federal standards down their throats. What I do object to is that Bush is already being heralded as the obvious candidate, the man to whom the big money must and will flow. As the Washington Post reports: Many of the Republican Party’s most powerful insiders and financiers have begun a

YOKOHAMA, Japan — Climate change is already having sweeping effects on every continent and throughout the world’s oceans, scientists reported Monday, and they warned that the problem is likely to grow substantially worse unless greenhouse emissions are brought under control. The report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, a United Nations group that periodically summarizes climate science, concluded that ice caps are melting, sea ice in the Arctic is collapsing, water supplies are coming under stress, heat waves and heavy rains are intensifying, coral reefs are dying, and fish and many other creatures are migrating toward the poles or

A National Labor Relations Board official has given the green light to Northwestern University football players to form a union. The March 26 decision by the NLRB´s Chicago regional director, Peter Sung Ohr, held that scholarship football players are "employees" for purposes of federal labor law. Ohr rejected the longstanding view of Northwestern and the National Collegiate Athletic Association that players are "student-athletes" rather than employees. While Ohr´s decision is hardly the final word on this issue, it does accelerate the legal and political battle against the NCAA and its century-old amateurism rules. Is Football Academic? The new rules set rear visibility standards that automakers will initially be able to meet only by installing cameras. Drinking Earl Grey tea could help guard against heart disease, it has emerged, after a study found that bergamot extract--a key ingredient in the hot drink--is just as effective as statins at controlling cholesterol. Scientists believe bergamot, a fragrant Mediterranean citrus fruit which gives Earl Grey tea its distinctive flavour, can significantly lower cholesterol. They say it contains enzymes known as HMGF (hydroxy methyl glutaryl flavonones) which can attack proteins in the body known to cause heart disease. The study found bergamot could even be as effective as statins, used to control cholesterol but which can have side effects in

WASHINGTON — LeBron James wants you to sign up for health coverage under Obamacare. So do Magic Johnson and Jonah Hill’s mom. Monday is (sort of) the deadline for Americans without employer-provided health coverage to sign up for insurance under the Affordable Care Act — the White House extended it so that anyone who’s begun to sign up by Monday can still complete the process by April 7 — and the final enrollment numbers will be an important test for a law intended to expand access for the uninsured. It’ll also be a test for the White House’s high-octane sales
