With Te´o Silent, Questions
About Hoax Mount

Associated Press, by Tom Coyne

Original Article

Posted By:earlybird, 1/18/2013 8:58:46 AM

Manti Te´o has already tried to explain how his heartwarming story of playing through adversity was a lie he wasn´t responsible for, how he was the victim of a cruel hoax about a dead girlfriend who never existed. (Snip) An Associated Press review of news coverage found that Te´o talked about his doomed love in a Web interview on Dec. 8 and again in a newspaper interview published Dec. 10. He and the university said he learned on Dec. 6 that it was all a hoax — not only was she not dead, she wasn´t real.

Comments:
Article goes on to say that in a one-on-one interview with Sports Illustrated in September, Te´o went into great detail about his relationship with this girl, her illness, etc.

I believe he was in on this from the start.

And there was an October interview with his parents, in which his father talked about the relationship, and how they expected that this girl would end up being their daughter-in-law. It has been republished in the South Bend Tribune here:

Why doesn´t he just state that she was a "composite girlfriend", like Obama had?

The media just has no interest in pursuing stories about "composite girlfriends".

I look at this story as very important in that is demonstrates how lazy and easily duped are the MSM. It also presents a huge opportunity for the conservative media to bring up the special handling that Obama got when he did the same thing, except even more egregious than this since it was in authored material.

This story is BIG news. It demonstrates perfectly what is wrong with America´s news media. Whether it be politics, economic, religion, health care, or sports reporters today DO NOT investigate they simply parrot back what they are told and report what feels good. The failure of reporters to report is a major reason why our country is currently so messed up.

Bloggers are doing better reporting than the New York Times, CBS, Sports Illustrated and ESPN. That is BIG news.

It was believed to have been the first direct conversation between Obama and Putin since the United States and its European allies began imposing sanctions on Putin´s inner circle and threatened to penalize key sectors of Russia´s economy. Russia´s reinforcement of troops near Ukraine has brought the total forces there to as many as 40,000, U.S. officials estimated on

VATICAN CITY – President Barack Obama and the Vatican gave distinctly different accounts of the president´s audience with Pope Francis on Thursday, with Obama stressing their common ground on poverty and inequality but Vatican officials emphasizing concerns over Obama´s health care law, which mandates contraception coverage. Obama described himself as "incredibly moved" by his nearly hour-long session with the popular pontiff. He said the two spent the most time discussing the plight of the poor and the marginalized as well as regions of conflict and the elusive nature of peace around the world. President Obama´s first salary as a community organizer was paid by a Catholic group and his earliest social justice work was rooted in Catholic social doctrine. He identified with Cardinal Joseph Bernardin, then Chicago´s archbishop, whose consistent ethic of life encompassed a dedication to the poor, a concern over the human costs of war, and opposition to the death penalty. You could imagine that at his meeting with Pope Francis on Thursday, the president was tempted to ask: Why can´t these American bishops get along with me? A long-running child custody case took a dramatic turn Tuesday, when a Massachusetts juvenile court judge awarded permanent custody of teenager Justina Pelletier to the state Department of Children and Families.
