| Michelle Obama, who turns 49 today, has proven her fashion savvy time and again since she was introduced as first lady in a yellow sheath and coat by Isabel Toledo on Inauguration Day 2009 - so much so that we don´t discuss it nearly as much as we used to. Four years ago, there was a daily barrage in the media: Jason Wu gown! J. Crew gloves! Jimmy Choo shoes! It remained that way for months and even years. There was the Naeem Khan beaded strapless gown for the first state dinner in the Obama White House,

The AP "reporters" - - both male and female - - must have giant muscles from carrying all that water for Zippy & Moochie.
Gunga Din never carried nearly as much.

I don´t care that it´s her birthday. I don´t care what she´s wearing. I don´t care about her ´´causes.´´ I do, however, care that she´s been so greedy and careless with taxpayer dollars to support her selfish lifestyle.

I have a problem with criticizing her for how she looks. I´m not a ravishing beauty either. But I do dress appropriately and my daughters make sure I don´t embarrass the family in any way. She does not represent the country well in any way.

Rarely does she dress appropriately for her "position." Most of the time her clothes look too small or too "young" for her. When she wears her belts up under her boobs it looks ridiculous. Style icon - definitely not! With substance - maybe so?!

Mrs Obama is a comely woman - she is tall, not overweight. With top fashion designers (and without budget constraints) sewing her gowns to custom fit - she can and does pull off a striking figure (unlike the black widow spider outfit of her own choosing years ago!). So I will not criticize her for these things. What I find appalling is her tone deafness to the economic disasters unfolding all around the country as wrought by her and her husbands´ ideologies, the wanton spending sprees on vacations and evening gowns, travel and parties, so often paid by taxpayers - all the while wagging a finger and telling the populace it is too fat, too greedy and too selfish. That and the fawning media that gets the vapors and faints at her feet as if she has actually EVER accomplished an actual deed above and beyond wife and mother. Something we commoners have done for ages, and a far cry better.

I work for a department store and believe me, you can´t find anything she wears in my store. I never see anyone, no one, imitating her ´style´. It is just so ridiculous. I know what haute couture is and I know ready-to-wear and I have no idea where this ´great style´ comes from. Perhaps from her grandma´s closet circa 1955 and grandma was a hobbit...

All that the pink Tracy Reese dress was missing was the half back shoulder pads.
MO flunks the style icon test. The image that comes to mind is of Mrs. Laura Bush in her feminine skirt suit, contrasted with MO in her too tight, seams nearly splitting pants suit, yapping on her cell phone while walking to the 9/11 memorial service in Pennsylvania a couple of years ago.

Saw MO at a U of Oregon graduation this past summer, and I found her pleasant enough. Surprise! She was doing her part there to keep her brother in a coaching job he was overdue to be fired from. Nevertheless, she isn´t one of us, and doesn´t want to represent the good women of America as much as root and loot and shower herself and him with glory and praise. If there was a boating accident, and they were swallowed by a whale, and never seen again, I might miss the kids.

She only cares about the price tag. Wonder how many she actually pays for today.
I looked at some older photos of her today and she has become increasingly lighter in skin tone since 2008.

65, you get a snifter clink! wIABB it is!!!! 40, Empress Alexandra and her sister, grand Duchess Elizabeth , were both very beautiful women by the standards of their day. Born into minor German nobility, they both married into the Russian Royal family. Both were martyred for their Orthodox Christian faith by atheist Communists. Im sure you meant to compare Moochie to some communist hag, not to Tsaritsa Alexandra, a devoted wife and mother to 5 children who also were brutally murdered with their parents. Communist propaganda against the Romanovs has been disproven in post-Communist Russia by its own archives. Seems they lied to the world but warehoused the truth. Truth has been the first casualty of the ØbaMugame regime. Sorry, but you touched a nerve.

What substance?????
The Moochle spends money for fashion and to try and look like a lady but the liberals have always enjoyed the "All flash, no clue" kind of existence.
Her food program is at best a punch line to a very poor joke, with little if any factual basis and her hypocrisy in personal behavior is not an example I would want my kids to follow.
She likes to play at being "First lady" and traveling at great expense on a whim and wasting as much of my money as she can.
So what is her substance ??????????????????????????????????

What a piece of trash article intended to escakate the effort to make Americans see this pig of a woman as something she isn´t, has never been, and can never be. Last fall, Ginnette Powell traveled from her home in Boston´s Dorchester section to her old middle school in South Boston - a journey of just two miles, but one that covered a huge emotional distance. Finally, she was able to leave the painful past behind. Powell endured the explosive battle over desegregation in Boston in the 1970s. Tears come to her eyes when she talks about how it took her decades to return to the place where she never felt safe as an African-American seventh-grader."It was scary because of what you were going into, getting bricks thrown at your bus.

Sen. John McCain says he doesn´t understand the threats from some of his Republican colleagues to filibuster a bill on background checks to buy guns. "I don´t understand it," the Arizona Republican said on Sunday of the threat coming from Sen. Rand Paul,Sen. Ted Cruz, Sen. Mike Lee and nine other Republicans. "The purpose of the United States Senate is to debate and to vote and to let the people know where we stand.” "What are we afraid of? ... A few years after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, Lindalyn Adams was escorting visitors on a bus traveling down Elm Street near Dealey Plaza. “I was pointing out the John Neely Bryan cabin and the Old Red Courthouse, and suddenly I realized the whole bus was leaning towards the right as we were going close to the Texas School Book Depository, and the women [were] pointing and saying, “Is that? Is that? Is that?’” Adams recalled during an oral history interview. She knew, of course, what “that” meant. “That” was where Kennedy had been shot.

They’re big. They’re ugly. They’re noisy. And they’re coming. So get ready. The blockbuster brood of the periodical cicada, large insects that emerge en masse from the ground in 17-year intervals across the northeast, is on its way — and New York City’s largest public radio station is encouraging residents in Central Jersey and beyond to help track the invasion. “The whole idea came from our news director, Jim (Schachter, of Summit), who lives in New Jersey — he promised his wife that they would move from their home before the 17-year cicadas came back,”

The night began like many at Boorda Hall, a five-story barracks at Naval Station Great Lakes, the Navy´s premier training base on the shore of Lake Michigan in Illinois. Somebody announced a party, and the hard drinking and beer pong began. A 21-year-old Marine lance corporal, so drunk on rum and Mountain Dew she was slurring her words, went to look for Kyle Antonacci, a Navy seaman she´d been dating off and on. Antonacci soon texted his friend Mike Pineda to help him deal with her. Both men had sex with her that night. But what distinguished May 8, 2009,

A U.S. Foreign Service officer was killed and four others wounded in Afghanistan while carrying out a goodwill mission in the eastern part of the country. The State Department team was delivering books to an Afghan school in the Qalat district of Zaul province when their convoy was hit by a suicide bomber, Secretary of State John Kerry said Saturday. "She was everything a foreign service officer should be: smart, capable, eager to serve, and deeply committed to our country and the difference she was making for the Afghan people," Kerry said of the slain official.

ATLANTA – Luke Hancock came off the bench to score 20 points, walk-on Tim Henderson sparked a second-half rally with a pair of monster 3s and Louisville advanced to the NCAA title game Saturday night, escaping with a 72-68 victory over Wichita State. As the final buzzer sounded, a Louisville player tossed the ball high into the air and injured Kevin Ware stood up, thrusting his arms above his head. It was the 15th straight victory for the top-seeded Cardinals (34-5), who will play the winner of Syracuse-Michigan for the national title Monday night.

The Keystone XL Pipeline has emerged as a major issue in the Massachusetts special U.S. Senate election, with environmental groups committing nearly one-third of the $1.25 million in outside money already spent on campaigns. The biggest spender so far is the League of Conservation Voters, which has already spent more than $545,000 to help elect Democratic candidate and Rep. Ed Markey, who has a strong pro-environment platform. “Our field campaign is resonating with voters across Massachusetts,” said Navin Nayak, a political specialist for the group. “The people of Massachusetts want climate change champion Ed Markey representing them.”

A recent solicitation from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) reveals that the agency is seeking a "massive" online database capable of pulling up individuals´ personal information, connections and associates. On March 28, ATF posted the notice on FedBizOpps.gov, entitled "Investigative System." The solicitation was updated on April 5 with a few minor changes. The document says that the system will be utilized by staff "to provide rapid searches on various entities for example; names, telephone numbers, utility data and reverse phone look-ups, as a means to assist with investigations, and background research

After the failed week long experiment of (Get To) The Point and the unsteady The Lead With Jake Tapper, Jeff Zucker is looking for a blast from the past to revive CNN. The ratings-struggling cable new network is bringing back Crossfire in June, network insiders tell me. No hosts have been chosen yet, the sources say. Nor is it clear if the show will definitely remain a half hour, as the original Crossfire was, or go longer. Right now it seems that Crossfire 2.0 is slated to have a variety of CNN personalities and contributors taking up

At the corner of Columbia Pike and Walter Reed Dr. in Arlington, Va., sits a stainless steel bus stop with a million dollar price tag. Yes, that’s right. The futuristic-looking bus stop cost $1 million to build. The so-called “super stop” boasts a heated concrete floor and a digital display board that shows when the next bus will arrive, but it doesn’t do much to keep commuters warm or dry (except for their feet). The stop leaves the people waiting for transportation exposed to the elements.(Snip) Some $800,000 of the money came from federal and state tax dollars via grants,

RUSH: Folks, I don´t know how else to categorize this. We are living in a dying country. I don´t know how else to categorize what´s happening -- 88,000 new jobs. The unemployment rate, because of a terrible statistic, is down to 7.6%. The number of people in this country who are not working is shameful. Ninety million Americans are no longer in the workforce. Ninety million. People not in the labor force grew by 663,000, and now 90 million. That´s the labor force participation rate. This is 1979 levels.

President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Irin Carmon does a great job in Salon in laying out the bounds of propriety for when it´s appropriate to talk about a woman´s looks as a general matter. But I´ve long felt we lack a solid theoretical underpinning for easily discussing these issues, and why precisely it is that

Michelle Obama has admitted that she is already tired of the bangs she first sported in January. The First Lady said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight: ´Bangs are a day-by-day proposition. They´re starting to grow out, get a little irritating.´ Still, she hasn´t let her hairdo woes get her down. ´It´s okay,´ she said after her initial complaint. ´We´ll be good.´ The first indication that her hairstyle was becoming a burden came about last weekend, when Malia, 14, was spotted adjusting her mother´s hair during the White House Easter Egg Roll.

No one is more preoccupied these days with Hillary Clinton´s 2016 plans than the Beltway political class—not even the former presidential candidate herself. To hear some tell it, her decision will be dispositive for all other Democrats thinking of entering the race. And pundits and reporters aren´t the only ones positing the "The Hillary Factor": No less than the House Democratic whip, Steny Hoyer, told BuzzFeed, “I don´t know that anybody would run against Hillary…. If she runs, she clears the field.” It´s an understandable conclusion, given Clinton´s stature in the Democratic Party and her 70 percent

I hope all will look at a lifetime of service over some poorly chosen words.” Carson will remain as commencement speaker at Johns Hopkins,

Clinton praised her own mother for helping empower her to success and marveled at the opportunities that her own daughter Chelsea has pursued. But Clinton warned that there is still so much to do to promote women´s rights in America. "As I look at all these young women that I am privileged to work with, or know through Chelsea, and its hard to imagine turning the clock on them," Clinton said.

The Obama White House is scrambling to blame Friday’s abysmal March jobs numbers on the sequester’s trimming of the rate of growth in federal budgets that have yet to fully commence. After the Labor Department announced that a mass exodus of 663,000 workers left the U.S. workforce last month and that job creation fell 112,000 jobs short of projections, Obama’s top economic adviser Alan B. Krueger, took to the White House blog to blame the sequester: It is important to bear in mind that the March household and payroll surveys are the first monthly surveys to look

On Friday, Sean Hannity brought Pat Smith, mother of the late Sean Smith, on his radio program. The 34-year-old information management officer was one of four Americans murdered in the Benghazi embassy attack on September 11, 2012. In the chilling interview, a distraught Ms. Smith, in tears, pleaded for answers and spoke of the efforts to silence her. Ms. Smith first relayed how her son, prior to the attack, requested additional security in advance and warned the State Department: He did tell them, ahead of time, he typed it into his little typewriter over there,

SANFORD - Trayvon Martin´s parents have settled a wrongful death claim for an amount believed to be more than $1 million against the homeowners association of the Sanford subdivision where their teenage son was killed. Their attorney, Benjamin Crump, filed that paperwork at the Seminole County Courthouse, a portion of which was made public today. In the five pages of the settlement that were available for public review, the settlement amount had been marked out. Lower in the agreement, the parties specified that they would keep that amount confidential. When asked during an earlier interview whether the amount was

The budget President Barack Obama will submit on April 10 will contain a proposal that would prohibit individuals from accumulating more than $3 million in Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) and tax-preferred retirement accounts. According to a White House statement, the Obama administration believes the current rules allow some wealthy individuals "to accumulate many millions of dollars in these accounts, substantially more than is needed to fund reasonable levels of retirement saving." "The budget would limit an individual’s total balance across tax-preferred accounts to an amount sufficient to finance an annuity of not more than $205,000 per
