WASHINGTON -- Interior Secretary Ken Salazar will leave the Obama administration in March, an Obama administration official said Wednesday. Salazar has run the Interior Department throughout President Barack Obama´s first term. Before joining the Cabinet, he served as a senator from Colorado. Salazar began his tenure with a pledge to help reduce America´s dependence on foreign oil. He told his confirmation hearing he would seek to expand renewable energy on public lands and promote the "wise use" of traditional energy sources. He is the latest Cabinet secretary

Why is he leaving? The media is remarkably incurious. Paving the way for a full-throated leftist to run the department no doubt.

Why do narrow minded, agenda driven people like Salazar always speak of "wise use" and smart solutions when they have no clue of what is wise or smart?

Safe to bet that Salazar´s replacement will be an elitist woman who looks like the bump on the log that she is trying to protect. She´ll speak of "doing this for future generations" without the least concern for the current population of Americans. As always, its for the future children that Obama is feverishly working to prevent.

There have been murmurs out there for Rep. Raul Grijalva to replace him. Just when you think you couldn´t get someone worse than Salazar you see this. Grijalva is one of the most vile humans to walk this earth. He is a member of MEChA and a member of the "progressive" (Communist) caucus. The link provides information on this:

Can´t wait to read Michelle Malkin´s article on the entire list of egregious crimes committed by this Marxist Secretary.

Most corrupt administration ever, a short list includes:

Lisa Jackson - Richard Windsor fake email account to cover up her "war on coal".

Hilda Solis - 5 billion dollar in overpayment of unemployment benefits to swing states that elected the One.

Ken Salazar - a list that would not fit into this space.

Criminals who will never pay for their crimes against the citizens of our country.

FTA: A former senator from Colorado, Salazar pushed renewable power such as solar and wind, but gained the most attention for his role in the drilling moratorium, a key part of the administration´s response to the April 2010 explosion of the Deepwater Horizon rig in the Gulf of Mexico. It was one of the largest environmental disasters in U.S. history and led to the unprecedented shutdown of offshore drilling.

The moratorium was justified with a report signed by a panel of experts commissioned by the administration. The report recommended the moratorium. The report was fraudulent, as salazar added the part about the moratorium after the panel signed the document. salazar belongs in jail. salazar is a criminal.

Mr. Salazar will leave behind a legacy as one of the very worst cabinet secretaries ever. Secretary "Boot on the Neck of BP" Salazar acted like a lawless thug after the BP blowout. He then actively interfered with energy exploration and production on federal lands in the United States, to the enormous detriment of a badly needed economic recovery - and to the detriment of millions of unemployed Americans.

Just leave - please.

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, in a closed-door address to a group of Republicans this week, issued a spirited defense of a broader role for the U.S. in the world, saying President Obama’s leadership has left a vacuum that’s been filled by “dictators like Bashar al-Assad in Syria and Vladimir Putin in Russia.” Speaking at the National Republican Congressional Committee’s annual fundraising dinner on Wednesday, Ms. Rice also said the party needed to embrace a softer image on immigration and declared school choice “the great civil rights issue of our time.” But she spent the majority of her time

The Supreme Court searched Tuesday for ways to let women get birth control without the government forcing their employers to cover the cost, as justices tried to balance business owners’ religious rights against allowing religious objections to a broad range of public policy issues. Justices touched on abortion, the limits of federal power and details of birth control, but the case centering on the Hobby Lobby craft store chain likely will come down to whether the court believes for-profit companies and their owners can claim a moral conscience objection to paying for employees’ birth control. In the context of talking about limits on free speech, it’s common to say that your freedom to swing your fist ends where my nose begins. That seems like a sensible way to think about the freedom of religion case just argued before the Supreme Court: whether employers can be required to pay for contraceptive methods that would violate their religious convictions. Most disputes about religious freedom are bilateral — with the government on one side and the individual claiming infringement of religious liberty on the other. The Supreme Court seemed divided Tuesday over whether the religious objections of business owners protect them from a requirement in President Obama’s Affordable Care Act that health insurance plans cover all types of contraceptives. With both spring snow and demonstrators gathering on the sidewalk outside, the justices spent a spirited 90 minutes debating religious conviction, equal treatment for female workers and whether the court would be opening the door for religious challenges to all sorts of government regulation. It is difficult to predict a precise outcome based on the justices’ wide-ranging questions and statements.
