Gun Control by Executive Order?
National Review, by Scott Coffina

Original Article

Posted By:sagman, 1/16/2013 6:26:26 AM

The horrific recent mass murder of 26 children and adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School predictably has reignited the gun-control debate in this country. (snip) The task force led by Vice President Joe Biden has met mostly with groups either in favor of or opposed to greater restrictions on guns and ammunition. Facing strong political opposition in Congress from both parties, Vice President Biden and President Barack Obama each have suggested publicly that the president will act by executive order to restrict guns.

And Our Congress will not fight against the King now occupying the White House who is ignoring the Constitution of this Country.

Seems like we´ve been down this path before...

If obama can´t even convince his own party in congress then that means there´s no national consensus on how to deal with this.Obama has probably spent millions on high powered DC attorneys to write the language for this power grab.

A Gallup poll shows that 4% of Americans consider gun control THE most important issue.
Obama is a shell man playing a shell game.
Remember that whatever the king takes away can only be restored ONE way.

Texas and Wyoming are already on record stating they will arrest any Federal agent trying to enforce these gun control ´laws´ by Executive Order.

You are NOT a King Mr. Øbama.

And Bush was the dictator? It never ceases to amaze me how the left acts as though there will never be anyone other than their guy at the helm. Indeed we had a king before, as I recall we didn´t like it all that much. This could be the step that we needed to awaken a layer of our voting population to step it up. How any Repubican, conservative principled supporter of our constitutional republic could have stayed home rather than voting against this disaster completely escapes me.

Last Spring one of our Tea Party Board Members decided to run for the Texas House against an entrenched incumbent. His name is Steve Toth. He won, and we won. Steve is the person responsible for legislation that will make Texas a "Sanctuary State" for the Second Amendment arresting any Federal Official that tries to enforce any executive Order in the State that is contrary to Texas Law on the right to keep and bear arms.

You should take a minute to thank him.

As nuclear talks between Iran and major world players enters its third day what has emerged is that Iran will get major relief from sanctions in exchange for the dubiously enforceable promise of restricting its uranium enrichment to levels for peaceful energy use only. And as US Secretary of State John Kerry jets around Europe posing as the deal maker, we find out that the Obama Administration had already taken it upon themselves in June to stop imposing sanctions on new entities created to do business in place of a sanctioned one.

On Saturday morning, Fox News interviewed Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan about an apparent overture by President Barack Obama intended to bring about an end to the horrible, awful, end-of-the-world-as-we-know-it 17 percent government shutdown. The idea, in essence: pass a bill to fund the entire government, and then we can talk about making needed changes to Obamacare. Pretty funny. For practical purposes — at least in terms of having a functioning exchange, the hyped linchpin of the entire enterprise — there is no Obamacare right now. Sure, there’s a website, but only a tiny percentage of those wishing to use it have

As the hypothesis of man-caused global warming is trundled off to the Morgue for Scientific Hoaxes, let´s anticipate the autopsy´s preliminary findings: the subject expired after choking on its own premises. In denial, warmists continue to hawk recently discredited tenets: mankind´s (read: America´s) profligate use of fossil fuels pumps enormous quantities of CO2 into the atmosphere; naturally, Earth´s temperature rises, exacerbating the so-called "greenhouse effect"; in time, our planet becomes a most inhospitable place. "Settled science." Until it wasn´t. These postulates were meant to frighten the naive and misinformed into supporting a radical correction that would (surprise!) hit the U.S. hardest.

Vice President Joseph R. Biden will discuss arms control Saturday with Russia’s top envoy, a meeting that could shed light on President Obama’s unguarded comment last year that he would have more “flexibility” to negotiate with the Russians after his re-election. Mr. Biden will hold a one-on-one session with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Munich during a four-day European trip with his wife, Jill, that begins Friday. Administration officials confirmed Thursday that the vice president’s agenda with Mr. Lavrov includes an exploration of ways to reduce both nations’ nuclear weapons stockpiles.

The Senate overwhelmingly approved Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.) as the next secretary of state Tuesday afternoon, with three Republican “no” votes. The vote was 94 to 3, clearing the way for Kerry to formally take over from Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton on Friday. He assumes the post amid a civil war in Syria that has killed an estimated 60,000 people, stalled nuclear negotiations with Iran and the spread of militancy across North Africa.

On September 21, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton spoke to reporters before a meeting with the Pakistani foreign minister. She addressed the September 11 assault on U.S. facilities in Benghazi, Libya. “What happened was a terrorist attack, and we will not rest until we have tracked down and brought to justice the terrorists who murdered four Americans.” Clinton’s statement was notable. It was the strongest and most direct assessment of the attacks from any Obama administration official in the first 10 days after the deaths.

How Romney Lost

Columbus, Ohio — The realities of the electoral map meant that the Romney campaign really had no choice but to bet big on Ohio, and that bet was a loser. In addition to some critical on-the-ground specifics — Ohio is not hurting as badly as the rest of the country — there were three main reasons for that. 1. Ohio likes crony capitalism. The automotive bailout is popular in Ohio, and not just among self-interested workers and investors in that industry. Putting General Motors on federal life support is economically daft and morally dubious, but it gave the Obama administration a powerful tool for convincing

Do not be seduced by the disproportionate emphasis on recent events with regard to Barack Obama's pending landslide loss. I submit that a more sober analysis indicates that November 2012 has been inevitable for at least four years. In some ways, it's been inevitable for even longer than that. You see, Barack Obama and his statist agenda have failed because they could not possibly succeed. In a way, electing Obama was liberal America's dash off a cliff -- and the 2012 election is merely the day they officially make contact with the ground.

"Two Jews, three opinions" goes the famous joke. And every day, more of those opinions turn pro-Romney, as American Jews increasingly reject the collapsing presidency of Barack Hussein Obama. Romney's surging poll numbers in the crucial state of Florida reflect his growing success with Bubbie Molly and her unemployed grandson Adam, who both thought their right hand would wither if it ever pulled the lever for a Republican. The signs and portents are everywhere, beginning with the special election of a Republican in Anthony Weiner's heavily Jewish, New York congressional district one year ago.

A rapid shift to wind and solar power is needed if the world is to avoid catastrophic global warming, the United Nations warns in a crucial report today. Emissions of greenhouse gases need to be cut by up to 70 per cent before 2050 to control climate change, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) says. ‘Large-scale changes in energy systems’ are required, with coal power stations to be switched off and replaced by wind and solar. And the transformation needs to be made in the next 15 years or controlling climate change will become increasingly harder and more expensive. The report was published

LAS VEGAS — The Nevada Republican Party stripped opposition to abortion and gay marriage from its platform Saturday as state convention delegates instead focused on judging fellow Republicans on their worthiness to serve in office and adherence to GOP values. The platform, with few changes, was adopted overwhelmingly as the Las Vegas convention stretched late into the evening. The vote mirrors that of the Clark County GOP, which voted earlier to remove platform language defining marriage as between a man and a woman and statements opposing abortion. In the first public account of the incident, the official said the Russian Fencer flew within 1,000 yards of the USS Donald Cook, a Navy destroyer, at about 500 feet above sea level. Ship commanders considered the actions provocative and inconsistent with international agreements, prompting the ship to issue several radio queries and warnings.
