| The horrific recent mass murder of 26 children and adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School predictably has reignited the gun-control debate in this country. (snip) The task force led by Vice President Joe Biden has met mostly with groups either in favor of or opposed to greater restrictions on guns and ammunition. Facing strong political opposition in Congress from both parties, Vice President Biden and President Barack Obama each have suggested publicly that the president will act by executive order to restrict guns.

#7 don´t think about joining the NRA...just do it! Hubby and I joined last year. Great newsletters and magazines. . Never got an annoying phone call or pesty emails. It is reassuring to know the large numbers of newly joined members . You don´t need to be a gun owner . Just do it.

Obama is just promising spots in his administration to leery Dems so he can get away with this. At first I thought he ditched Salazar to replace him with a woman, but now I think it´s going to be Joe Manchin who has indicated he´s caving regardless of how strongly his constituents feel differently.

And Bush was the dictator? It never ceases to amaze me how the left acts as though there will never be anyone other than their guy at the helm. Indeed we had a king before, as I recall we didn´t like it all that much. This could be the step that we needed to awaken a layer of our voting population to step it up. How any Repubican, conservative principled supporter of our constitutional republic could have stayed home rather than voting against this disaster completely escapes me.

Last Spring one of our Tea Party Board Members decided to run for the Texas House against an entrenched incumbent. His name is Steve Toth. He won, and we won. Steve is the person responsible for legislation that will make Texas a "Sanctuary State" for the Second Amendment arresting any Federal Official that tries to enforce any executive Order in the State that is contrary to Texas Law on the right to keep and bear arms.
You should take a minute to thank him.

On September 21, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton spoke to reporters before a meeting with the Pakistani foreign minister. She addressed the September 11 assault on U.S. facilities in Benghazi, Libya. “What happened was a terrorist attack, and we will not rest until we have tracked down and brought to justice the terrorists who murdered four Americans.” Clinton’s statement was notable.
