Once more, with feeling: Adam Lanza wasn´t some ´evil nutjob´. He was a young man known to have disabilities. We will never know the extent of delusional thinking he was experiencing when he made that fateful decision - a horrific decision, to be sure, but he was still a human being.

There is zero evidence that he was "pumped full of psychotropic drugs". The only definitive thing I have read is that an FBI agent said that no psychiatric meds were found in the house. So much for that theory.

Finally, "NEA members who don´t want to deal with them"...where did that line come from? All of the evidence says that Adam´s mother was very involved, to the point that she homeschooled him when she couldn´t get the services he needed at the local school district.

Arguments like these are an embarrassment to the cause.

Guns and ammo buyers fill government files. You no turn in weapon, you no get your SS check. You lost your weapon? You no get 25% of your SS check...for life--to defray cost of your weapon on the streets. Lots of easy compliance factors other than brownshirts coming to your door to get your weapon(s).

Finally, I don´t give a damn if Adam Lanza had disabilities. He´s not the victim, he created the victims. Around 20 6 year olds.

America´s Founders knew firsthand that, ´´An armed society is a polite society,´´ eh? Thus, they secured the Second Amendment in the Bill of Rights. Self-defense is every individual´s Right.

As for mental illness, #3´s obsession with punishing normal people for the actions of nut jobs is beyond tiresome. I know we are supposed to ignore him, but good grief. Lanza wasn´t a nut job? He just had disabilities? Well, that explains it. I guess those kids aren´t really dead, either. Thats good news. Call the families.

The plain fact of the matter is that laws won´t curb nut-jobs and criminals and these disingenuous defecRats know it. They´ll pass more laws and pat themselves on the back knowing full well that it only influences the law abiding citizens (you know, the people that didn´t cause the problem) then they´ll do it again. We´ve already seen them do that. The next thing will be to ban a certain gun, then a clip, then certain ammo. That won´t work either so they take another step and another and another until only they and the criminals have them. The evolution of the process is plainly visible, particularly when we´re already halfway through it! They didn´t just start writing gun laws last week! Anyone who thinks these defecRats will stop at the next step is fooling themselves, but then dumbed-down, self-absorbed, media-influenced, celebrity-obsessed morons seem to make up more and more of our society every day...

I would be more worried about all this if I hadn´t lost all my guns in an unfortunate boating accident...

I am not at all embarrassed by the unwillingness to pretend that people with serious mental problems are candidates to run around free. The loon in Phoenix was clearly not in his right mind but nobody was willing to do anything about it. It is still unclear, but apparently the evil killer in the Conn school shooting was not obviously violence prone.

We can never eliminate evil killers, but excusing them because they have "mental disabilities" is counter productive. It is irrelevant WHY they can´t keep themselves from doing evil things. We need to prevent it. Avoidance by hospitalization would be great, but when we fail to correctly predict, defensive violence is workable, too. The point is to protect the innocent, and disarming good people makes it worse, not better.

The author is correct. If there is an attempt to disarm the public, it will probably have a bad outcome.

A. Being a little boy is now a disease. We have medicine for it and everything. Anyone who´s been at school when the kids line up to get their prescription meds from the school nurse knows exactly what I´m talking about. I raised two sons. The pressure from teachers to medicate can be intense.
