Obama: Gun Lobby "Ginning

OBAMA: As far as people lining up and purchasing more guns, I think that we´ve seen for some time now that those who oppose any common sense gun control or gun safety measures have a pretty effective way of ginning up fear on the part of gun owners, that somehow the federal government´s about to take all your guns away. And there´s probably an economic element to that. It is obviously is good for business. But I think that those of us who look at this problem have repeatedly said that responsible gun owners, people

Comments:
As a state senator in Illinois Obama opposed legislation providing an exception to handgun restrictions if the weapon was used in the defense of one’s home. He is a dangerous lying tyrant.

Could obamao point out which gun control laws right now on the books, are not ´common sense´.?
BTW...It´s not the ´Gun Lobby that´s ginning up fear´. It´s the marxists in D.C who are threatening our Second Amendment rights.

Good OP, thanks for citing that gun grab vote on zippy´s record. That was one instance when zippy didn´t vote "present" in the Illinois Assembly.

Also, he filled out a survey in the 90´s where he went on the record in favor of a ban on the manufacture, sale, and distribution of handguns. This incident came up during the 08 campaign. The obama denied it, and said an associate had filled out the form, which is another big lie because zippy´s handwriting is found on the survey.

Color me unimpressed. FTA ~ ´But I think that, you know, those of us who look at this problem have repeatedly said that responsible gun owners, people who have a gun for protection, for hunting, for sportsmanship -- they don’t have anything to worry about. The issue here is not whether or not we believe in the Second Amendment.

This from the same guy who told us we could keep our health care if we liked it.

Did anyone here bother to read the direct quote? The fear-mongering here proves his point.

"The issue is, are there some sensible steps that we can take to make sure that somebody like the individual in Newtown can’t walk into a school and gun down a bunch of children in a -- in a shockingly rapid fashion? And surely we can do something about that."

You won´t find many Americans who disagree with that statement.

I do. I disagree.

I don´t think the steps being proposed are sensible at all, and they certainly would not have stopped the killing at Newtown.

How did that gun tracking work out in Fast and Furious?

Oh, just one more thing. A closer examination of one of obama´s quotes reveals some possible weasel words, " . . . that somehow the federal government´s about to take all your guns away . . . "

Soooo, big brother wants to take away certain select guns, but not "all" of them.

A lot more children have died from gunshot wounds on the South side of Chicago this year than in the Newton shooting. There a lot more "common sense" gun laws there than anywhere else in the country. How many of the shooters underwent background checks and used their legally purchased firearms to commit their crimes? How many made sure they used guns that would not accept a magazine that would hold more than ten (or seven) rounds? Someone should have asked the won during his press conference. He should know the answers, it´s the community he organized.

From my understanding, deputy Morgan Earp died, shot in the back by a thug in a town where only law enforcement was allowed to carry any firearm. Funny, that thug didn´t care about the law either way back then. As Mark Levin has said so well "It´s the Bill of Rights, not the Bill of Needs." And, my rights don´t end at your opinion of how many rounds you think I might need for protection.

I´ve heard it said, you don´t know how many rounds you´ll need until it´s over and time taken reloading can get you killed.

I´m not afraid. I´m ticked off with this government gun grab.

It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Susan Patton, the Princeton alumna who became famous for her letter urging Ivy League women to use their college years to find a mate, has been denounced as a traitor to feminism, to coeducation, to the university ideal. But really she’s something much more interesting: a traitor to her class. Gluten-free diets are all the rage, but they can be dangerous if not done right. What is gluten? It´s the spongy complex of proteins, found naturally in wheat, rye, and barley, that gives elasticity to dough and allows it to rise. When flour is moistened and either kneaded or mixed into dough, gluten molecules form an elastic, microscopic latticework that traps the carbon dioxide produced when yeast ferments, causing dough to inflate like a hot air balloon. Baking hardens the gluten, which helps the finished product keep its shape. Wheat — and gluten — is ubiquitous in the American diet.

That they were just torturing him.”
