Senator Schumer, how about we suspend all armed security provided to congress while they discuss gun regulation legislation? Also let´s close all those guarded tunnels that run from one federal building to another, so congress people don´t have to expose themselves to the unwashed ordinary citizens up above. Just paint a big sign on the Capitol saying, "gun free zone"? Tell the Capitol guards to leave their firearms in the front office, while locking up the ammo in a separate room. There. That ought to do it. You´ll show your sincerity , right?

If you have your license to carry concealed in Texas, you can carry in the capitol moving amongst all the political critters. Funny world we live in Texas. We seceded 150 years ago but we believe in the Constitution, and even secession was likely Constitutional.

It would have been interesting to see if Sumter was recognized as US property and allowed to exist as well as other forts and bases, what would have happened. Just a curious mental exercise.

In that some major firearms manufacturers are HQd in NY, schumer is biting the tax revenue hand that feeds his big government programs. chuck is "cruzin for a bruzin."
