It’s the first tangent sign that not all Americans are waiting sheep-like to be shepherded down the disastrous path of the Barack Obama-engineered Fundamental Transformation of America: CNSNews.com is reporting that “a group of like-minded patriots, bound together by pride in American exceptionalism, plan on building an armed community to protect their liberty”.“The group, named Citadel, intends to purchase 2,000 to 3,000 acres for the project in western Idaho. The community will comprise of 3,500 to 7,000 families of patriotic Americans who “voluntarily choose to live together in accordance with Thomas Jefferson’s

Sounds like it will be way too crowded at 3500 families on 2000 acres? We have 3300 acres and sometimes that´s not enough for the hubby and me, at this time of year.

I made a prediction a few years back that millions of Waco´s were on the Horizon. Perhaps now that prediction becomes more of a reality to those who once thought it not possible. Never under estimate the American Spirit. We are a curious lot with an unending thirst for FREEDOM and LIBERTY.Translation (DON´T TREAD ON US).

This will not end well- either financially for those who invest or in the security of those who may become citizens. Whatever your opinion of Tim McVeigh or Randy Weaver, this group had 365 days to choose from for their "Patriot Day" and they chose April 19th. I think this kind of public relations right out of the blocks is but a harbinger of things to come.

As proved in Waco and elsewhere, these communities cannot attain the "critical mass" to stand up to tyrants in D.C. Only a mass secession of states might have that possibility - and that would be problematic even with outside help. Remember that the American revolution barely succeeded, even with the help of France. Our only real hope would be a sympathetic US military. That is where organizations like Oath Keepers (www.oathkeepers.org) play a useful role.

Interesting how the federal atrocity at Waco pops up immediately. They cane first for the Branch Davidians and I didn´t speak up....

Any successful revolt against tyrants needs effective leaders. Having memorable martyrs also helps.

Who among us would not welcome martyrdom in the service of ending our slavery?

Quentin Tarantino produces "Django Unchained." Jamie Foxx produces a SNL opening monologue about killing white folks. [How black is that?] Louis Farrakhan marks Django as the start of a race war. Obama, Biden, and a lot of politicians (coincidentally(?) all of them Democrats) seek to disarm us. And we can be critical of folks who are trying to do something about all this??!

Nay! Let us instead be inspired by and supportive of them in their dedication to preserve their liberties and their arms. Let us be bound together in a sincere belief in the phrase...

I´m behind it as a concept but I wonder about it´s practicality. The left in this country doesn´t approve of any separatist movements, especially if they involve mostly white people..Secondly,they have drones now so even if they fend off a ground assault they can be drone hit.

The real story is this is just another outbreak of protest against Obamastyle government and policies. Conservatives know they aren´t this country´s problems, nor do they want to fund left wing craziness.

It really ticks me off that a few splotches of blue on the country´s electoral map can give someone like Obama the power the creep craves.

We are retired now and all of our lives we have freely traveled throughout the USA, first on family vacations, (...´´See the USA in your Chevrolet,´ as Dinah sang!), and additionally later because of jobs which were located in widely different areas of the country, and we have always considered the entire country as our, ´´community,´´ united in our Constitutional principles of Life, Liberty and Justice for ALL. Friendly & likeminded people are always there throughout this great country.

Which is why the blatantly counterfeit representation in today´s deceitful statist leadership has become so glaringly apparent. America is needlessly suffering because our Constitutional ship of state has veered off course, and is being lured by the statist´s siren song onto the rocks. Only the voters can CHANGE this direction by seeking ethical, moral and patriotic representation. ...Remember, we also do vote with our discressionary dollars!

We must remain faithful to Liberty´s principles and remember to, ´´BLOOM WHERE YOUR´RE PLANTED!´´ Dem pols demonstrably stir strife in America order to, ´´Divide & Conquer.´´ Enough with the lefties divisivness!
Wake up VOTERS!!!

Good intentions...BAD idea.
I don´t believe God wants us setting up our own our own little towers of Babel whenever we feel threatened. Jesus didn´t ask us to leave the battle and form our own army.
We don´t fight against flesh and blood. Obama´s radical ideas need fearless confrontation. Spiritual darkness is fought with the power of truth.

Dictators come in all stripes...some use the Bible and the founding fathers. Look up Doug Wilson.

If you can have communities for the elderly and beaches for nudists, then why not communities for freedom-loving patriots? I read the website and the FAQ section specicially says the mission of the development is not to fight against the government. It is just a place for people who want to live in accordance with the principles espoused by Thomas Jefferson. There is a mention of self-suffiency and being proficient with firearms. Another goal is listed as having schools as places of learning, not indoctrination.

It might not be my thing, but I don´t care if others want to engage in freedom of association. I don´t think people are crazy to be afraid of the way things are going in this country, and live in a way that involves defense, rather than taking the offensive against perceived wrongs.

One truth of our society is that most cowards, either alone or roaming in packs, are not going to attack an armed community. They will look for the weak and unarmed to prey upon.

But God forbid a Group of Liberty minded Folks to form a place to hide and protect their Families from all this madness. Perhaps we are reaping what we have sown. Perhaps that is why the Republicans lost in November. You can´t find a handful of People in this Nation that can agree on anything. Much less fight off a Tyrannical Government. Lord Help us.

Western Idaho! Oh joy because the only place their will be the dry barren desert that can only grow scrawny sagebrush.
Idaho land is 66% owned by the Federal Government so who is selling them the land?
They can´t rely on irrigation wells because the entire water source is tied up in regulation.
2 to 3 thousand acres for all those people when my Sister watches their once flushed with water 900 acres slowly die from water starvation and their land is in a much more hospital Southern Idaho area .
Perhaps they think they can do what one survivor wanna be tried when he cut their fences to hook up to their well across the road.
The rest of the story was he bought that land owned by her from someone else for cash without a deed. He really thought she should give back the money he paid the unknown seller.

When purchasing undeveloped ;and one must first consider the following: Electricity, power lines, gas lines,a sewerage disposal plant or, in the alternative, septic tanks, present zoning, if any, roads, garbage pick up, and any requirements of the local governmental authority. whether state, county or municipality.

Will these people draw up a new Mayflower Compact? Who will make the rules?

The high-handed, armed sniper-backed Bureau of Land Management, which retreated from Cliven Bundy’s Nevada ranch on Saturday, will be back. BLM will be back because they never go away. Their harassment campaigns against hard-working land owners and ranchers goes back more than 20 years. For 20 long years, BLM members have worked non-stop at what boils down to trying to frame Rancher Cliven Bundy. It is time to ‘frame’ Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid point man Neil Kornze. Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)

Less than a minute into his speech at the Boston marathon bombing memorial on Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden went tragically off script and told the crowd of Boston bombing survivors that "it was worth it." After expressing how impressed he was with the tribute, he said somberly, "let me say to those ´quote survivors,´ my God, you have survived and you have soared. It was worth it. I mean this sincerely - just to hear each of you speak. You´re truly, truly inspiring." The audience sat in stunned silence until Biden declared, "I´ve never heard anything so beautiful than

Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. And the babies are more likely to help those who share the same ethnicity, which is known as

Hank Aaron’s recent comments about the need for America to realize that racism is still very much alive and thriving — only now due to those who wear “neckties and starched shirts” rather than KKK hoods — has sparked an angry backlash and many fans are turning the tables, calling the baseball legend himself a racist. “Hank Aaron is a s*****g piece of [expletive] [racial slur],” one man said in an email to the Atlanta Braves’ front office, one of the teams Mr. Aaron used to play for, CBS News reported. “My old man instilled in my mind from a

Casual marijuana use may come with some not-so-casual side effects. For the first time ever, researchers at Northwestern University have analyzed the relationship between casual use of marijuana and brain changes – and found that young adults who used cannabis just once or twice a week showed significant abnormalities in two important brain structures. The study’s findings, to be published Wednesday in the Journal of Neuroscience, are similar to those of past research linking chronic, long-term marijuana use with mental illness and changes in brain development. Dr. Hans Breiter, co-senior study author, said he was inspired to look at the effects of casual

Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, “we are not as white as we are today.” The question notes that WWU’s racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicant’s worth. The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform. “I’ve said before and I’ll say it

Funny question in the headline, yes? But since President Obama worries more about the threat of terrorists´ improvised nuclear device going off in a major American city than anything Russia can throw at us, I was wondering if the government had deigned to share with us citizens any tips for, you know, surviving something their own intelligence points to as the likeliest unlikely Black Swan event. Well, no. And yes. No — very few people in Washington, D.C., who work for the government have any idea what they would do if a 10-kiloton nuclear device exploded at the intersection of 16th and K

When President Obama needed a preacher to fulfill the closing prayer duties at the annual White House Easter Prayer Breakfast, he turned to none other than the Episcopal Church’s first openly gay bishop — who said he was as shocked as anyone at the appointment. The Right Rev. Gene Robinson said in a tweet, accompanied by a photo of Mr. Obama behind a podium at the event: “POTUS ‘preaches’ at the Easter prayer breakfast. Then, out of the blue, asks ME to close with prayer. OMG!” Newsmax said he also emphasized that the words he chose to close the breakfast
