Yet Another Scandal for Harry Reid?
Townhall, by Carol Platt LieBau

Original Article

New questions are being asked about the ethics of Sen. Harry Reid; a Utah businessman is alleging that his state´s attorney general demanded $600,000 as a bribe to Reid in exchange for dismissal of a federal investigation. Certainly the allegations could be false, but it´s worth noting this isn´t the first time Reid´s name has come up in connection with some pretty shady propositions. Remember the lucrative, underpriced land deal? Or the green energy conflict? There´s so much there, pithily summed up by Investors Business Daily as follows:

Reid is a criminal there is no doubt about that. This corruption needs to be placed on the laps of all democrats like one man´s believe that you can´t get pregnant from rape issue was placed on the laps of all Republicans.

The only way Reid would ever be brought up on charges would be if Sheriff Joe of Arizona personally caught him with a literally smoking gun in the act of committing murder. Even then, he´d probably be found innocent if it proceeded to trial. Sad to say, the justice branch of our government is almost as broken as the executive and the legislative. And that extends down to state and county levels in some cases.

To my knowledge, no one has ponied up any direct evidence that Harry Reid was either involved or took a bribe. That said, I´m on the fence as to whether or not he was and did. I will say that Dingey probably isnt dumb enough to get caught directly. He has little people to act as inter-mediators.

Their selective favoritism has resulted in taxpayers´ money going down the drain on follies, while at the same time, driving merited companies out of business. Government should NEVER be in competition with America´s free enterprise system! ...But alas, it IS the nature of the statist beast!

I believe it. Reid was deep into mafia corruption long before he entered politics. The FBI file on him must take up a whole room.

Dingy cashed in on an insider land deal years ago and never declared the income on his senatorial disclosure form. When he got caught,he simply amended the form and walked away undamaged. His son is every bit the crook he is.

If it´s left up to Holder to investigate this,it´ll never happen.

Staff Sergeant Alonzo Lunsford told prosecutors this week that Major Nidal Hasan shouted “Allahu Akbar” before he opened fire on military personnel at the Fort Hood base in 2009. Hasan’s Islamism-animated killing spree caused the deaths of 13 people and one unborn child, and wounded 32 other individuals. In a remarkable and heartbreaking Washington Post opinion piece today, Shawn Manning, who barely survived Hasan’s rampage, urged the U.S. Army to designate the murderous act as terrorism. Sadly, the U.S. Army and the Pentagon steadfastly insist on the labeling the jihadi killing a non-ideological form of “workplace violence.” Manning described Hasan’s horrific violence:

Ending a war is a good thing. Killing civilians a bad thing. Deliberately targeting civilians is murder, and is never morally licit, even in pursuit of a good thing such as ending a war. The tens of thousands of Japanese non-combatants we killed 68 years ago this week with two nuclear bombs were not “collateral damage” of military strikes. They were the intended targets. We hoped that mass murder would bring the Japanese emperor to surrender. It worked, and American and Japanese soldiers’ lives were probably saved by it —

In a rare diplomatic snub, President Obama is canceling plans to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow next month. The decision reflects both U.S. anger over Russia´s harboring of National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden and growing frustration within the Obama administration over what it sees as Moscow´s stubbornness on other key issues, including missile defense and human rights. Obama will still attend the Group of 20 economic summit in St. Petersburg, Russia, but a top White House official said the president had no plans to hold one-on-one talks with Putin while there.
