British police have finally issued their first major report on the criminal sex scandal that has rocked Britain´s TV and entertainment industry, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), for well over a year and the details are shocking. Late BBC TV and radio star Jimmy Savile is accused of physically abusing hundreds of children--the youngest of whom was just 8--as well as many young adults whom he met through his high profile charity work at various children´s hospitals throughout England. Savile's crimes began in Manchester in 1955, peaked in the late 70's and early 80's,

Shall we give BBC the same punishment as was given to Penn State?

FTA`"It might not be surprising that The New York Times is not keen to note who was the actual BBC chief during the end of Savile´s crime spree. As it happens, the man in charge of the BBC during the last seven years of Jimmy Savile´s life was none other than Mark Thompson, now the CEO of The New York Times."

I read the same article published in the Daily Mail and they made no mention of Mark Thompson that I recall.
Savile looks deranged doesn´t he? And they had no idea this was going on..."requires the suspension of disbelief" as one of our illustrious Senators is wont to say.

The investigation has already netted dozens of other pedophiles. The BBC is kinda like Disney.

They ALL knew what was going on. They ALL participated in it or thought nothing wrong. We call them democrats or hollywood celebrities over here. See Morgan Freeman and him having sex with his 12 year old step-granddaughter!!

Hollywood keeps giving him awards.

Sexual perversion is a career enhancement at the NY Times.

One might even conclude that it´s a mandatory requirement. Thompson will do just fine there.

These crimes were so numerous and widespread, it is almost inconceivable that the British media (as well as the BBC) did not know what was happening. Where was Piers Morgan on this story?

How close was Piers Morgan to Savile before he (Piers) got run out of Britain. He swears he is not going back. Maybe this is the excuse to send him back--or at least out of USA.

Call it what you want -- anti-gay or religious rights -- but if Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer signs a controversial bill, you might not be calling Arizona the home of the 2015 Super Bowl. The Religious Freedom Restoration Act, S.B. 1062, is the current controversy du jour out of Arizona, and the National Football League is with the opposition. “Our policies emphasize tolerance and inclusiveness and prohibit discrimination based on age, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation or any other improper standard,” NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told USA Today. “We are following the issue in Arizona and will continue to do so should

Employees of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) destroyed veterans’ medical files in a systematic attempt to eliminate backlogged veteran medical exam requests, a former VA employee told The Daily Caller. Audio of an internal VA meeting obtained by TheDC confirms that VA officials in Los Angeles intentionally canceled backlogged patient exam requests.“The committee was called System Redesign and the purpose of the meeting was to figure out ways to correct the department’s efficiency. And one of the issues at the time was the backlog,” Oliver Mitchell, a Marine veteran and former patient services assistant in the VA Greater Los

PHOENIX -- Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer vetoed Wednesday a controversial bill that would have allowed businesses to deny services to gays and others based on religious beliefs. The veto of Senate Bill 1062 will likely be met with praise from Arizona´s business community, which called on Brewer to veto it citing potential damage to Arizona´s economy. The Arizona Chamber of Commerce said Monday the bill could hurt tourism, make it hard to recruit new businesses and open the door to lawsuits against businesses. Three Republican state senators also joined thee call for Brewer to veto the bill. On Wednesday, it was reported that

CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer brought Jeffrey Toobin aboard Monday’s The Situation Room to expound on his New Yorker magazine blog, “Clarence Thomas’s Disgraceful Silence,” posted on Friday. After quoting how Toobin derided Thomas as an “embarrassing” justice, Blitzer ended the segment by endorsing Toobin’s screed denigrating Thomas, trumpeting: “It’s an excellent article in the new issue of The New Yorker.” Blitzer set up the February 24 interview on the 5 PM EST show: “It’s now been eight years since Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has asked a question during the Supreme Court’s oral arguments.

Republicans on Capitol Hill are not giving up on getting testimony out of Lois Lerner, the disgraced IRS official at the center of last year’s scandal over the agency’s targeting of conservative groups for special review. In a letter to Lerner’s attorney on Tuesday, House Oversight Committee Chair Darrell Issa said he is recalling her to testify on March 5 on her role in the scandal.Last May, Lerner — the director of the tax exempt and government entities division of the IRS — appeared before the committee for its hearing, “The IRS: Targeting Americans for Their Political Beliefs.” But she gave

Mitt Romney on Tuesday joined a growing chorus of Republicans urging the Arizona governor to veto a bill that would allow business owners to cite their religious beliefs in refusing service to gay people. The former Massachusetts governor tweeted at Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer (R), saying it “is right” to veto the bill passed by the state legislature last week. Brewer has not said whether she will sign or veto the measure. However, a number of media outlets have reported people close to her expect her to veto it. Brewer told CNN she would weigh both sides before deciding the right thing to

PORT OF VICTORIA, Seychelles — The night before their lifeless bodies were found inside a cabin on a cargo ship, Jeffrey Reynolds and Mark Kennedy enjoyed the night life here, at tourist haunts called Le Rendez Vous and the Pirates Arms. The two, both former members of the Navy SEALs working as ship guards, later visited two casinos, playing blackjack and drinking vodka and tequila with sailors from New Zealand. When the second casino shut its doors at 3 a.m., surveillance images show that the pair bumped into two women and departed with them down a dark corridor. It was in Mr.

The attorney for Lois Lerner blasted the House GOP for recalling the former IRS official to testify next week, saying it would only serve to embarrass her and could increase threats against Lerner and her family. Bill Taylor, Lerner’s attorney, told House Oversight Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) that he told committee staff in January that Lerner would continue to invoke her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination if recalled, and that she would "happily testify" if given immunity. Taylor, of Zuckerman Spaeder, said he heard nothing further from the committee until Issa wrote to him on Tuesday, saying he was hauling Lerner

On Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden blamed “hatred” as the motivating force behind voter identification laws in states such as North Carolina, Alabama, and Texas. Biden wants new laws to block “former slave holding states in the south” from discrimination against blacks and other minorities. Biden, speaking at a reception at the Naval Observatory in Washington, D.C., in celebration of African-American History Month, said that, "These guys never go away. Hatred never, never goes away. The zealotry of those who wish to limit the franchise cannot be smothered by reason." Rhode Island Governor Lincoln Chafee (I) would take issue with

Were he alive today, Richard Nixon would have to doff his hat to Barack Obama. Compared with how the Obama administration has swept under the rug the Benghazi attacks of September 11, 2012, Nixon’s attempt to cover up the Watergate burglary was rank amateurism. To be fair, Nixon’s team of Haldeman, Ehrlichman, Mitchell, and Dean were not in the same league as Obama’s, which includes not only his cabinet but most of the national media and much of Congress. If a president were intent on covering something up—something big, such as an illegal gun walking operation to Mexico or a dereliction

(Video) Conservative activist and rocker Ted Nugent, whose comments referring to President Barack Obama as a "subhuman mongrel" sparked outrage across the political spectrum, insisted Monday that his remarks were not racist. In an interview with CNN´s Erin Burnett on "OutFront," Nugent said he would "stop calling people names," but he didn´t back off the incendiary rhetoric that landed him in the political spotlight in recent weeks. "Instead of using terms like ‘subhuman mongrel,’ I´m going to get right to the meat of the matter where our president is a liar. He lies about you can keep your doctor period.
