Geraldo Rivera And Eric Bolling
Get Into Heated Battle Over
Every Aspect Of Gun Control

Mediaite, by Noah Rothman

Original Article

Fox News Channel hosts Eric Bolling and Geraldo Rivera went at it on Friday morning on Fox & Friends over what appropriate action the federal government should take to limit future incidence of gun violence. The two battled over the impact gun ownership has on crime, the appropriateness of allowing semi-automatic weapons in private hands, and how logical it was for supporter of the Second Amendment justify gun ownership on the grounds that they are protecting themselves from a future tyrannical government. Rivera said he thought there would be some reform after the Newtown massacre,

Geraldo once again confirms he is an idiot. He said there is no study suggesting that gun ownership results in a safer society?? He obviously hasn´t listened to John Lott or acknowledged the statistics Camerota cited. You can be assured that if his family was threatened he wouldn´t hestitate to protect them by whatever means. Democrats are such hypocrites. Geraldo finding it outrageous that anyone would not trust their government is a joke. 0bama is the precise reason why you shouldn´t trust it.

Who could forget the footage of the swaggering brave Jerry Rivers on the scene at the deserted Tora Bora caves after OBH had fled, wearing a mercenary suit of clothing, replete with twin pearl-handled pimp pistols on his hips.
Reductio ad absurdum.

Today´s Cartoon: Hammer-496 killed vs AR-323 killed is spurious at best.

So, most likely 496 people killed 496 people using a hammer. How many crazy people did it take to kill 323 with an AR?

If liberals want to change the constitution they can use the legitimate means provided in that very constitution.

They won´t though.

They will use the slippery-slope scheme that they oppose when they talk about abortion. Can´t have anything infringing on that "right to privacy" and a "women´s right to choose".

Quite a while back, Geraldo was doing a sail around the world with his family. When he was going through some dangerous waters, He got what I think was an AK 47 to protect himself and family. Wush someone could get that old footage to show and ask him about it.

He is a lot like the clowns they have on Current TV. They start out with a predetermined outcome and search for evidence to validate it, to the exclusion of all other evidence. Most of the time that conclusion involves hating America. Well, unless it is something Mexican in America. Then it is automatically good.

Commenter asks how many shooters were needed to kill 323 people with semi-auto rifles. It doesn´t alter the statistic. You as an individual are more than twice as likely to be killed by a hammer attack as by an attack with a semi-auto rifle.

A: Because you want to take my AR-15 and 30 round mag, that´s why!

In other words, I am fulfilling my duty as a citizen to be armed and ready for when you (a surrogate media mob of the government) or the government come to take away my natural right of self-defense.

Eric Bolling is one of the three reasons why I bother to watch "The Five". He along with Dana Perino, Kimberly Guilfoyle, and Andrea Tantaros are good. The waif Greg Gutfeld and whatever nucklehead liberal they put on there Beckel or Williams are jokes. Jerry Rivers has been a joke himself for a long time and he should be lucky that he´s got a good jig on Fox News. I know that they want to be fair and balanced but the viewing public can only take so much.

Geraldo argues with everyone anytime he appears on Fox in the morning. I don´t bother to watch his Sunday night show. Or is it Saturday? I´ve stopped watching The Five because they´ve become silly. Gutfeld tries to be funny even when the topic is serious. Beckle is surly about everything. Bolling is intelligent and tackles the issues in a meaningful way. Someday someone is going to punch Geraldo in his gnarly face, because he´s so rude and sarcastic.

Looking at the numbers - the vast majority of crime in general, and violent crime in particular, is committed by "African-American" and "Latino" males between the ages of 12 and 55. Based solely on the numbers, one can make a logical, rational argument that the best way to reduce violent crime is to incarcerate all "African-American" and "Latino´ males between the ages of 12 and 55. People will say that is "not reasonable". Perhaps not. How about just full set of finger prints and a set of photographs, along with a detailed history and current address? After that all checked out, they could be issued a special photo ID card which they would be required to have on their person at all times and would have to produce to any member of law enforcement upon demand? Still sound unreasonable? These are the least objectionable of the requirements the most law-abiding citizens in the several states have to endure in order to get a Concealed Weapons permit. (Except Illinois, they don´t permit law-abiding citizen to carry concealed weapons.)

Republican New Jersey governor Chris Christie is appealing to “ChristieCrats” in a new re-election ad touting his bipartisan credentials. The Youtube ad, which the Christie campaign is quick to note does not appear on television or radio, highlights the outburst of Democratic love for the governor following his high-profile embrace of President Obama after Hurricane Sandy late last October — a move that angered many national Republicans who felt the photo op damaged Mitt Romney’s chances in the 2012 presidential election. “There are so many Democrats endorsing Chris Christie’s re-election that they actually have a name, ‘ChristieCrats,’”

On his show Friday, Glenn Beck became convinced that many members of the Obama administration act like racists, after breaking down the “anatomy of a racist”: they see groups over individuals, they lack objectivity, and they seek power through conflict. For children in the Middle East “summer camp” could mean rocket launchers, hand grenades, suicide vests and learning how to manage an improvised explosive device (IED). Corey fired Ben Kruidbos, her office’s information technology director, after his June 6 pre-trial testimony in which he revealed information concealed from Zimmerman’s defense team by the prosecution. His termination letter included allegations of serious workplace misconduct such as violating public records laws. By granting a yearly and renewable asylum to Edward Snowden, Vladimir Putin has challenged President Barack Obama. He has made it clear that the famous “reset” button with Russia, signed onto and endorsed by Hillary Clinton when she was secretary of State, meant only that the United States would allow Russia to get away with what it wanted in international affairs as long as Putin’s authority was not challenged. Russia would continue to aid its Syrian ally, no matter what “red lines” were crossed, and all the United States would do is urge Russia to act differently.

Free expression philosophers have long asserted that a society’s overall freedom hinges on the rights of citizens to speak and publish freely. That idea helped spark the American Revolution and has permeated the nation’s political climate for more than 200 years. A new study by the Newseum Institute’s First Amendment Center, however, suggests that a growing number of Americans fail to appreciate the importance of free expression principles. A startling 34 percent of Americans surveyed agreed with the statement, “The First Amendment goes too far in the rights it guarantees.”

The Texas Department of Criminal Justice said Thursday that its remaining supply of phenobarbital expires in September and that no alternatives have been found. It wasn´t immediately clear whether two executions scheduled for next month would be delayed. The state has already executed 11 death-row inmates this year, and at least seven more have execution dates in coming months. "We will be unable to use our current supply of phenobarbital after it expires," agency spokesman Jason Clark said. "We are exploring all options at this time."
