Judges seem wary of release of bin Laden photos

| WASHINGTON —Federal appeals court judges seemed skeptical Thursday about forcing the government to release photos and video taken of Osama bin Laden during and after a raid in which the terrorist leader was killed by U.S. commandos. Judicial Watch, a conservative watchdog group, is seeking the images through the Freedom of Information Act. The Defense Department said it didn´t turn up anything responsive to the FOIA, while the CIA found 52 responsive records. The intelligence agency withheld all of them, citing exemptions for classified materials and information specifically exempted by other laws.

Color me conspiracy theorist but I still don´t believe that it was Bin Laden who was killed in that raid. We have been given not one shred of proof, only zippy´s word, and we all know what that´s worth. The CIA doesn´t want to release photos because there aren´t any real ones. That was just some geezer living in a dump in Pakistan. Bush showed us Saddam in the spider hole and then we got to watch his execution on television. Bush showed us the bullet ridden corpses of Uday and Qusay. Zippy shows us nothing.

What´s it for the American people? If we provide a perpetually aggrieved culture with an excuse for more violence against innocent people, what´s the trade off? I´ve been a supporter of Judicial Watch, but I disagree with releasing the pictures to the public at this time.

Two theories. OBL was long dead and this was just an election ploy that risked our Seals and allowed china Iran to get access to technology. Obama/Brennan /brezinski wanted to prevent OBL from talking about his contacts with them in the early 80s when Obama went missing in Pakistan- see other article on Brennan et al. Amb Stevens was silenced for the same reason.

#3, that culture wants us all dead anyway. What´s a few photos? It´s not like releasing the photos will make them hate us more than they already do. Ever wonder why there was no uproar in the ME when we claimed to have killed bin Laden? Maybe it´s because they know that the whole operation was a fraud to make zippy look good for reelection and they like having a buddy in the WH who gives them $billions, weapons and political support.

And the ACLU agrees with Judicial Wa... what? not a peep from the ACLU and other left-wing groups?
Why is it that the "White House" has given the movie producer so much inside information on the raid, and re-enactments are shown?
UBL is certainly dead, but when he died, who knows. One can not help but be skeptical of this regime, it being so snuggly in bed with the media, all of it, "news" and entertainment.

Stocks finished at session lows Monday, posting their sharpest one-day drop this year, as disappointing economic data from China triggered a selloff in commodities. Meanwhile, major averages added to their losses following two explosions at the Boston Marathon finish line around 3pm ET, injuring several spectators and runners. The explosions happened about three hours after the winners crossed the line. New York City Police told CNBC that they have stepped up security at hotels and other prominent locations around the city.

Today is tax day - the day when every American has to file with their income taxes with the Internal Revenue Service. The Heritage Foundation has come up with a snazzy graphic so that Americans can see where each percentage of every tax dollar that the federal government takes goes: [Chart/photo] There´s actually been a broad coalition of both conservatives and progressives on the idea that Americans should actually know where their tax dollars go. Progressives think that if Americans knew just how much they were getting from the government for every dollar they spend, they´d think that paying taxes

Adam Scott´s brilliant birdie on the 18th hole during the final round at The Masters on Sunday will live long in the memory. But it seems the first Australian to capture the Green Jacket had long been prepared for that fateful moment. A picture from Scott´s high school yearbook in 1997 has emerged, in which the fresh-faced 18-year-old kid seems to predict the greatest victory of his career. Next to a photo of a typically awkward-looking teenager, under the heading ´Favourite Expression´, Scott wrote: ´If all else fails, birdie the last.´

WASHINGTON- Unauthorized immigrants may have to pay $2,000 as part of a bipartisan U.S. immigration reform plan, a person familiar with the talks told The New York Times. The fee, whose amount was not finalized but which would have to be paid before an immigrant could earn legal status, would include $500 when the person applies for a temporary work permit and $1,500 or so that the person would have 10 years to pay, before they apply for a green card, the person said. A Senate aide described the $2,000 figure to the Times as "significant but not impossible,

Free golf, y´all. The 2013 Masters are headed to a sudden-death playoff between Angel Cabrera and Adam Scott after a phenomenally dramatic 18th hole that saw them end 72 holes of action in Augusta at 8-under each. And we get to see the 18th again, immediately. Per the Masters playoff rules, all the participants in the sudden-death playoff will go back to the 18th and play it again. If Cabrera and Scott post the same score on 18 again, they´ll go to the 10th hole and play it again. Should the two players tie on 10, they´ll return

On his Friday show, syndicated talk show host Mark Levin said that a Republican congressman is attempting to persuade one of his affiliates to remove his show from the airwaves. Although Levin would not offer the congressman’s name on air, he has been a vocal critic of various members of the House Republican leadership in the past. But Levin called the situation “fascism.” “Well, it has come to my attention that there is a Republican congressman out there who doesn’t like what I’ve been saying,” Levin said. “It has come to my attention that there is a

Few Americans can not answer this question: who is the worst domestic mass murderer in United States’ history? Due to the United States media, most are aware that Timothy McVeigh slaughtered 168 people with a bomb in 1995. Most Americans also know the names of our three most monstrous serial killers: “The Green River Killer” Gary Ridgeway, Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy. The U.S. media is again responsible for the general awareness of these men; these stories deserved — and received — national attention due to our common interest in personal safety, the rule of law

Since he first became a presidential candidate, President Obama must have spent millions of dollars in legal expenses to combat dozens of so-called "birther" challenges seeking the original documents pertaining to his birth. As president, he famously issued an electronic document on the White House website in 2011; the document purported to be his long-form birth certificate, though it is apparently a forgery. In addition, he has taken great pains to hide the paper trail of passport records, college transcripts, and other data -- all of which a prospective employer might require of a job applicant.

Here is something I don’t understand: liberals are often revealed as vile, vulgar hatemongers–not all of them, of course, but far too many–yet they never seem to pay a penalty at the polls. Why is that? Margaret Thatcher’s death has been the latest occasion for the Left to show its true stripes. All across the U.K., there have been demonstrations–vulgar at best, and violent at worst. In Bristol, lefties celebrating a Thatcher “death street party” started fires, destroyed property and battled police: This evening in Trafalgar Square, liberals have turned out for a long-planned celebration of Thatcher’s death:

Newtown killer Adam Lanza’s mother considered suing Sandy Hook Elementary School after teachers turned a blind eye to beatings from his classmates, a family member claims. The relative, speaking to the Daily News, claimed that mass murderer Lanza was taunted and attacked by fellow students at his childhood alma mater. “Nancy felt fiercely protective of him,” the relative said. “She was convinced the school wasn’t doing enough to protect Adam. It made her irate.” Nancy Lanza — gunned down by her 20-year-son to start his Dec. 14 rampage — even tagged along with Adam to school

The impending introduction of legislation to overhaul the country’s badly strained immigration system received an extraordinary endorsement on Sunday from Senator Marco Rubio, Republican of Florida, who, after holding back for weeks, appeared on no fewer than seven television talk shows to explain and defend a plan that he said would be “a net positive for the country, now and in the future.” It was a striking show of confidence from Mr. Rubio, one of eight members of a bipartisan Senate group that has been crafting a plan to provide a path to legal status for undocumented immigrants;

Is media bias to blame for lack of Gosnell coverage? Or something far more banal? The trial of Philadelphia doctor Kermit Gosnell would seem to have all the elements of a spectacular news story: shocking allegations, horrifying visuals, sympathetic victims. Yet until late last week, much of the national media was silent as testimony about Gosnell’s alleged “house of horrors” abortion clinic rolled out. Much of the media attention outside Philadelphia, in fact, centered on how little media attention the story was receiving outside Philadelphia.

President Obama and I were college classmate at Columbia University, class of ’83. I know all too well how mindlessly liberal the students and faculty of that institution can be, and Barack Obama is certainly no exception. My time at Columbia made it crystal clear: liberals always believe they are morally superior. [Snip] It is in this cesspool of intolerance that Obama and his Marxist cronies hatched a secret plan to destroy our country. There are two things you need to know about Obama at Columbia University. First, he was Pre Law and a Political Science major- just like me.
