Leaves Hollywood Behind

Breitbart, by Christian Toto

Original Article

Posted By:jj1319, 1/10/2013 12:38:34 PM

Adam Carolla says he´s been through the “Hollywood washing machine,” and he´s glad not to deal with any more spin cycles. “I’m tired of leaving it up to the judges. You can get a lot of bad hometown calls,” the podcast king tells Big Hollywood about his new career as a podcast pioneer working under the Carolla Digital banner. “I wanna train hard and go for the knockout.”

BTW A real comedian named Larry Miller is back.
He stepped outside after being interviewed by Adam last April and slipped and suffered a concussion. He was in a coma for 2 months - a real concussion, (not a made up one from a coward named clinton).

9 months and he is still feeling the effects.

Monday For many years now, I have endured a mild skin disorder, rarely fatal. I usually am monitored by a fine doctor in Rancho Mirage. But I wanted a dermatologist near our home in Beverly Hills, so I asked around and got a reference for a Dr. Wang, as I will call him. (Not his real name.) This afternoon, I entered his tiny waiting room, introduced myself to the young women behind the counter and smiled. The women asked me to fill out several forms, which I did and handed them back.

Adam Carolla contends
low ratings, not gay slur,

Comedian Adam Carolla speculated Wednesday that actor Alec Baldwin’s departure from MSNBC earlier this week had more to do with poor ratings than his allegedly hurling a homophobic slur at a paparazzi photographer earlier this month. Carolla argued it was more likely MSNBC used those remarks as a convenient excuse for ending a poor-performing program. “Fitzdog, you and I have done enough of this shit to know the first two weeks basically lets you know where the rest is going,” Carolla said on his Wednesday podcast. “They’ll give you the first week just that people coming in — sort of looky-loos, curious,

Adam Carolla followed the mainstream media´s advice this week and began a dialogue on race relations with his podcast partner Dr. Drew Pinsky. Carolla used the discussion as a springboard to slam the media for its subservience to President Barack Obama and penchant for flaming the flames of racial discontent. "The first thing we need to do is stop the media in its rush to turn everything into a problem of race. They don´t even know how to report sh**," Carolla says during the July 18 edition of The Adam and Dr. Drew Show.

Adam Carolla is no stranger to the P.C. police. He simply refuses to hold his hands out so they can slap the cuffs on him. Carolla offered some advice to his fellow comedians during a recent podcast on how to handle the inevitable bruised feelings from pointed punch lines. Don´t give in. Naturally, Carolla leaned on a colorful metaphor or two to hammer home his argument. "These paper tigers who try to knock you down and make you apologize ... they put pressure on you," he said. "What you need to do is not negotiate with terrorists."

Adam Carolla knows liberal media bias exists because he´s seen it up close and personal. So when he watches the mainstream press ignore President Barack Obama´s hypocrisy he simply chalks it up to more of the same. Those lessons are starting to rub off on Carolla´s podcast partner, Dr. Drew Pinsky. The two, reunited after spending a decade on the syndicated Loveline radio show, explored how the media reacts to the president´s lavish lifestyle on their most recent installment of The Adam and Dr. Drew Show.

Adam Carolla hardly seems the professorial type. The podcast king doesn´t smoke a pipe, wear patches on the elbows of his sports jackets or extol the virtues of socialism. Still, Carolla´s life story offers plenty of lessons for his fellow Americans. After all, he went from being "Not Taco Bell Material" to a New Media trailblazer. Carolla shares some reasons why he evolved beyond a less than idyllic childhood as part of the newest course from Prager University. It´s all about internalization, learning from one´s mistakes without blaming everyone else but you.

A whacked-out New Jersey woman sent police rushing to Newark Airport yesterday after falsely accusing her husband of plotting to blow up a plane, authorities said. Eunice Ukaegbu, 50, called cops about her hubby, Okieze Ukaegbu, 58, because she didn’t want him to leave the country without her, authorities said. The couple had just gotten into a nasty fight. “It looks like that marriage went up in flames,” law-enforcement official quipped. The drama began when Eunice allegedly passed along the bogus tip that her husband

Adam Carolla's shift to the political right appears all but complete. Yes, the podcast king still supports gay marriage, and he embraces other left-of-center social stances. On the big issues of the day, from the upcoming election to our collective increase in government dependence, Carolla might as well have his own show on Fox News. Oh, wait. Carolla was recently christened as the channel's newest contributor. Carolla's latest rant targeted President Barack Obama's moth-eaten 2008 campaign slogan.

Adam Carolla calls California home, but he's hardly a typical resident by local standards. He's more likely to critique the Golden State (or its denizens) than send much love its way. So when Bill O'Reilly asked the podcast king why his fellow Californians, particularly well-to-do Hollywood types, aren't up in arms over skyrocketing gas prices Carolla had an easy answer up his sleeve. "My friends don't know how much gas is, they don't care, and they like it that way," Carolla told O'Reilly.

Radio talk show host Dennis Prager is fighting back against the era of entitlement thinking with a man known in some circles for encouraging girls to bounce on trampolines. Prager’s decades as a radio performer made it easy for him to look past Adam Carolla’s crass high jinks on "The Man Show" and applaud the thinker beneath the gags. Now, the duo routinely plays before packed crowds, and they've teamed up for a new course at Prager University, the talk show host’s online education realm. “Adam Carolla on Luck”

Former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld has said that ´a trained ape´ could do a better job managing American interests in Afghanistan than President Obama. The retired Republican made the insult while doing a phone-in interview for Greta Van Susteren´s Fox News show on Tuesday. He argued that the President made a serious error by failing to negotiate a status forces agreement with Afghan President Hamid Karzai. Gawker points out that such an agreement would effectively commit the United States to having a certain number of troops in the country for a number of years beyond the already-agreed-upon plan which

Three Secret Service agents responsible for protecting President Obama in Amsterdam this week were sent home and put on administrative leave Sunday after going out for a night of drinking, according to three people familiar with the incident. One of them was found drunk and passed out in a hotel hallway, the people said. The hotel staff alerted the U.S. Embassy in the Netherlands after finding the unconscious agent Sunday morning, a day before Obama arrived in the country, according to two of the people. The embassy then alerted Secret Service managers on the presidential trip, which included Secret Service

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) said the fault of struggling to sign up on the Obamacare exchanges didn’t lie with the faulty website, but with the people who weren’t “educated on how to use the Internet.” Explaining the reasoning behind the latest Obamacare delay, Reid said too many people just didn’t know to use their computer properly and needed more time. Apparently, it had nothing to do with the well-documented failings of the website that have embarrassed the White House for months. “We have hundreds of thousands of people who tried to sign up who didn’t get through,” he said.

Okay, THAT was certainly embarrassing. At the end of a joint news conference with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte in the Netherlands on Tuesday, the applause for Barack Obama came from a grand total of one guy. One. After thanking the crowd twice for suffering through his boring, standard worn-out spiel, Obama looked around the room, expecting the usual fanfare and applause he receives from his loyal followers back home. It never came. Instead, the Leader of the Free World was met with one slow, awkward clap. Question: was MSNBC’s Chris Matthews in the house?

Six months ago, Chairman of the House Oversight Committee Darrell Issa subpoenaed the emails of former head of IRS Tax Exempt Organizations Lois Lerner. Lerner was in charge during the IRS´ inappropriate targeting of conservative, patriot and tea party groups. IRS officials have failed to comply with the subpoena and today during a hearing on Capitol Hill, Issa threatened IRS Commissioner John A. Koskinen, one of only two political appointees at the agency, with contempt. U.S. President Barack Obama and Pope Francis met Thursday for the first time at Vatican City, offering a chance for a reset of sorts between the administration and Catholic leadership following years of strained relations. The two world leaders greeted each other with a smile and a handshake, and posed for pictures before sitting down across a table from each other. The goal of the meeting: Focus on areas where two of the world´s most influential men agree and gently tread ground where they differ. The President and the Pontiff will, as the White House said in a statement, focus on "shared commitment

Washington - A leading Democratic pollster predicted a "sobering" turnout disadvantage for her party in this year´s midterm elections and called on Democrats to articulate "a bigger economic agenda" this fall. "There is a huge turnout disadvantage and challenge," Democratic pollster Celinda Lake said Tuesday at a breakfast with reporters. Nearly six in 10 people disapprove of President Obama´s job performance in a new poll by the Associated Press, the highest rating recorded by the newswire. According to the AP-GFK survey released Wednesday, 59 percent disapprove of Obama´s job performance while 41 percent approve. A similar poll released by the news outlet in January found 45 percent approved of him while 53 percent disapproved. Other recent polling has found Obama´s disapproval rating slightly lower, remaining in the low 50s. A CBS News poll Tuesday showed 50 percent disapproval, while Gallup has his disapproval at 52 percent. In the AP poll,

The Obama administration is prepared to give prospective Obamacare enrollees another half-month to signup for insurance coverage through the Affordable Care Act website, healthcare.gov, treating the law´s March 31 regulatory deadline as a formality for Americans who claim they tried in earnest to sign up in time. During a March 12 congressional hearing, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius told Texas Republican Rep. Kevin Brady that there would be no such extensions. ´Are you going to delay the open enrollment beyond March 31?´ Brady asked. ´No, sir,´ she replied. As the U.S. Supreme Court weighed the constitutionality of a contraception coverage mandate Tuesday morning, a federal appeals court heard a separate legal challenge that could have much more sweeping implications for the future of President Obama´s health care law. And if the oral arguments before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit are any indication, it’s time for the White House to start sweating over a lawsuit that up until now has flown relatively below the radar. At issue in the case are the subsidies that the federal government provides for individuals purchasing insurance through Obamacare. Though the text

On Tuesday night two things happened. 1. A trio of Secret Service agents were sent home from Amsterdam after one was found passed out drunk in a hotel hallway. 2. The Obama Administration announced (another) extension of the enrollment deadline for Obamacare signups. At first glance, these two events have little in common with one another. But, modern politics is all about narratives and storylines. And, both of these events confirm a growing concern from the public about President Obama: That he´s just not up to governing his administration and, by extension, the country, effectively.

[Listen to the audio or watch the video after the jump] Rienzi pushed back: "No one´s discriminating against women, Andrea, all they´re saying is that, you´re right, these are personal decisions,
