Obama needs some
binders of women

Washington Post, by Ruth Marcus

About all those white guys: What a shame. Not an outrage, but a shame. The face of power that President Obama has chosen to present to the country and the world with his second-term Cabinet picks is striking — except for the African American president at the top of the pyramid — for its retro look, white and male. It’s “Mad Men” Goes to Washington, except Peggy’s leaving. On the foreign policy team, white guy for secretary of state, white guy for defense secretary, white guy for CIA. For Treasury secretary, white guy. Obama’s replacement as chief of staff

I thought the Republicans were the ones waging a war on women. Oh wait, the election is over. They already got the stupid women vote. They can be discarded now.

Wonder how all those women who voted for him feel now?

The funny part (or sad, I guess) is that most of Obama´s voters (including the women, minorities, gays) couldn´t name three people in his cabinet from his early days to the present. They sure as heck couldn´t tell you the race/gender/sexual orientation make-up of the cabinet.
Whatever happened to the best candidate for the job?

His complete disdain for women isn´t the only self-revelation we´re going to see from Obama over the next 4 years. He´s finally free of the need to pretend now that the election is over. And boy are we going to be shown what he truly thinks.

Don´t be surprised that women are not included even though they are receiving about 2/3rds of the Obama male´s wages.
Lady parts are only good for two things to the progressive men and the second one is voting as told.
Just ask Bill what the first one is -is -is.

It goes to show that leftwing ideology is THE most important factor in Obama´s hiring practices. Minorities have always had a hard time in far-left organizations, the CPUSA broke up in 1991 or 1992 over what the dissidents said was the racism of Gus Hall and his affinity for whites at the center of the power positions. So it is with Obama. The harder the leftist, the whiter the skin.

What Does Obama Think
He’s Doing On Guns?
Power Line, by John Hinderaker    Original Article

It seems very odd that President Obama has made gun control the signature issue of his second term, so far. He can’t possibly achieve any significant legislation; a few tweaks to the background check system, maybe, but there is no chance of getting any meaningful gun control through the House. The House Democrats aren’t even trying. So it also seems strange that all eyes are on the Senate, where Harry Reid will unveil some sort of gun legislation–no one knows what, exactly–on Thursday. The party’s left-wing base is lining up behind the bill, sight unseen.

Police Poll: Armed Citizens,

In a poll conducted by PoliceOne, a majority of law enforcement personnel said universal background checks, "assault weapons" bans, and "high capacity" magazine bans do not make police safer and will not lower violent crime. Armed citizens, on the other hand, do make a positive difference. In the poll of 15,000 law enforcement professionals, 71% of respondents said an "assault weapons" ban would have zero impact on violent crime. Of those surveyed, 95.7% said the same of a "high capacity" magazine ban, and 79.7% said the same in response to a question on universal background checks.

Biden Pushes Gun-Control:

Vice President Joe Biden gave a heated speech on reducing gun violence this afternoon, lashing out at Republican senators who have vowed to filibuster the gun-control legislation. “It’s almost mind-boggling,” Biden said to law-enforcement officials in Washington, D.C. He asked the senators to consider how their actions are being viewed by the international community: “In sophisticated capitals and in less-sophisticated capitals, they all reported on Sandy Hook, they all reported on Aurora.” “What do you think is being said today in those capitals about us?”

Thatcher a ‘fiercely loyal’

Margaret Thatcher captured Americans’ hearts and minds in a way few other foreign leaders have done, and much of that was because of the symbiotic relationship she had with President Reagan — a relationship that in many ways mirrored the storied “special” friendship between the two countries. Mrs. Thatcher, who died Monday at age 87, was a tough-talking maverick who was bullish on the promise of the U.S. as a force on the international stage. Those traits appealed to Americans weary of the 1970s malaise and eager to hear reasons to believe in themselves. “She had the perfect balance between

Beginning a week of high pressure on gun control, the White House on Monday accused some Republican senators of cowardice for planning to filibuster gun legislation without allowing the full Senate to vote on President Obama’s initiatives. “If they oppose this legislation, have the courage to say so on the floor and vote no,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. “Don’t block it. Don’t hide behind a procedural action to prevent a vote. That’s the wrong thing to do, and that’s how the president clearly feels.”

Guess which country is the world’s largest oil producer. No, it’s not Saudi Arabia or Russia. It’s the United States, which passed Saudi Arabia in November of 2012, according to data from the federal Energy Information Administration and reported in Investors Business Daily. In 2012 American domestic output rose by an astonishing 800,000 barrels a day. That’s more than total oil production in such middling oil producers as Argentina, and the greatest single-year increase in the United States since Edwin Drake drilled the first well in 1859. That has consequences far beyond the oil patches

“UNLESS WE change our ways and our direction, our greatness as a nation will soon be a footnote in the history books, a distant memory of an offshore island, lost in the mists of time like Camelot, remembered kindly for its noble past.” Margaret Thatcher, never given to understatement, presented that grim vision for Britain in 1979, the year she became prime minister. Then, for the next 11½ years — almost as long as three U.S. presidential terms — she worked with fierce determination and unrelenting stubbornness to dispel it

A growing number of senators are trying to quash gun legislation before it even hits the chamber floor as Democrats hold out hope for a compromise and the White House gears up for a weeklong offensive to pressure Congress to act. Larry Pratt, executive director of Gun Owners of America, said as many as 13 senators now publicly support a filibuster on the motion to proceed on pending gun legislation, which effectively would block debate on the bill. “When you’re in a snake pit, you kill a snake any time and chance that you get,”

However, any deal could be derailed by the looming threat of a Republican filibuster involving Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. With Cruz standing proudly in the way of any gun legislation, Democrats are trying to make him pay a political price — and even a couple of high-profile Republicans are questioning his tactics.
