Hagel Agrees that America
is ‘the World’s Bully’

Washington Free Beacon, by Staff

Original Article

Posted By:LittleHoodedMonk, 1/9/2013 1:06:00 PM

Responding to a viewer’s question during a 2009 interview on Al-Jazeera, former Sen. Chuck Hagel agreed that the United States needs to change its image as “the world’s bully.” “Well, her observation is a good one and it’s relevant. Yes, to her question, and again I think that’s all part of leadership,” Hagel said during the March 2009 interview. Hagel was nominated by President Obama to succeed Leon Panetta as secretary of defense Monday and is facing criticism for his social and foreign policy positions while in the Senate, and controversial record during his tenure as top official of the USO.

Comments:
I guess if you want to be the most disrespectful to your Country in public, go to the enemy on their propaganda organ and make a quote that will always be able to use against US. Well done, Hagel.

America has not been the world´s bully, of course. But we have been *seen* as that. We have been way to quick to tell others what they ought and ought not to do.

Hagel has always been politically wobbly regarding the principles which secure freedom. If he calls America, ´´the World´s Bully,´´ what does he then call Soviet Russia, Germany´s Nazi Holocaust, Cambodia´s killing Fields, 9/11 and the continuing islamoterrorist´s autrosities?! America is the beacon of Liberty on the planet and has served as, ´salt & light,´ to all who respect & cherish each individual´s freedom and peace on the planet.

Sidebar: Why do some pols, including both Hagel and Boehner, have that same over-stressed, ´hang-dog,´ look all the time? Their favorite dog breed must be the Basset, ...no offense to Bassets.

Washington - The Pentagon repeatedly waived laws banning Chinese-built components on U.S. weapons in order to keep the $392 billion Lockheed Martin Corp F-35 fighter program on track in 2012 and 2013, even as U.S. officials were voicing concern about China´s espionage and military buildup. According to Pentagon documents reviewed by Reuters, chief U.S. arms buyer Frank Kendall allowed two F-35 suppliers, Northrop Grumman Corp and Honeywell International Inc, to use Chinese magnets for the new warplane´s radar system, landing gears and other hardware. Washington - The Justice Department asked a U.S. appeals court Friday to toss out a judge´s ruling the National Security Agency surveillance is likely unconstitutional. U.S. District Judge Richard Leon ruled Dec. 16 in Washington the surveillance program violates the Constitution, and ordered a halt to collection of data on electronic communications by two plaintiffs. The finding is at odds with a ruling last month by New York District Judge William Pauley, who concluded the NSA program is legal. "Duck Dynasty" star Phil Robertson is ruffling feathers again; this time for comments he made years ago about how girls should marry when they´re still teenagers. "They got to where they´re getting hard to find, mainly because these boys are waiting ´til they get to be about 20 years old before they marry ´em," Robertson says in a video clip that resurfaced Monday. "Look, you wait ´til they get to be 20 years old, the only picking that´s going to take place is your pocket. You got to marry these girls when they are about 15 or 16. They'll pick your ducks." In the video, Robertson is recounting an anecdote at a speaking engagement.

Do we care what Al Qaeda is? And do we care who gets guns from the American government? One can’t avoid those questions when reading the responses to David Kirkpatrick’s excellent piece in the Times on the attack on an American diplomatic installation in Benghazi on September 11, 2012. Four Americans died there. Kirkpatrick managed to use shades of gray in his rendition of what happened, which is rare: (Snip) In other words, it was the people the Obama Administration judged to be our allies who turned on us—rather than just, predictably, Al Qaeda. Obamacare may have promised health insurance for the masses. But on its first day, it’s left more Americans without coverage than before the law was passed. More than 4.7 million Americans had their health insurance cancelled as a result of any of the thousand-plus-page law’s new rules, the Associated Press reports, but the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) confirmed Tuesday that between federal and state exchanges, just 2 million Americans have signed up for Obamacare coverage. Today marks the beginning of health care coverage under the Affordable Care Act’s new insurance exchanges, for which two million Americans have signed up. Now that the individual mandate is officially here, let me begin with an admission: Obamacare is awful. (Snip) I believe Obamacare’s rocky start — clueless planning, a lousy website, insurance companies raising rates, and the president’s telling people they could keep their coverage when, in fact, not all could — is a result of one fatal flaw: The Affordable Care Act is a pro-insurance-industry plan implemented by a president who knew in his heart that a

"Jang was stripped naked and thrown into a cage, along with his five closest aides. Then 120 hounds, starved for three days, were allowed to prey on them until they were completely eaten up. This is called "quan jue", or execution by dogs."
