Bank of America has reportedly frozen the account of gun manufacturer American Spirit Arms, according to its owner, Joe Sirochman. In a Facebook post dated December 29, Sirochman wrote the following: “My name is Joe Sirochman owner of American Spirit Arms...our Web site orders have jumped 500 percent causing our Web site e-commerce processing larger deposits to Bank of America. So they decided to hold the deposits for further review. “After countless hours on the phone with Bank of America, I finally got a manager in the right department that told me the reason that the deposits were on hold

I closed my accounts as soon as I found out BofA offered free wire transfers to Mexico from illegals.

Another thing manufacturers can do. Insist that your vendors not send any checks/transfers drawn on BoA. Otherwise they lose your business.

A lib friend who works at HSBC says the federales are putting pressure on banks to prove there is no money laundering going on. It´s a case of guilty until proven innocent. The banks, not wanting any more fed scrutiny, take the low road and close or suspend any accounts that may displease the regime.

Declaring war on your own customers is some business plan. But B of A routinely scrapes along at the bottom of the customer satisfaction charts. They don´t care. And clearly they no longer want American Spirit Arms´ business. I´ll bet there is an independent local bank in Scottsdale that does. Processing these types of payments is childs play.

Oh, and B of A´s other corporate customers should take note of this. Today they decide they don´t like their customers selling AR-15 rifles. Perhaps tomorrow it is sugary soft drinks, meat, vehicles powered by internal combustion engines, or maybe anything whatsoever associated with coal or oil. They can´t say they weren´t warned.

Almost 3 years ago BoA noted a $200 collection account on my credit report. They immediately took over $20,000 of available credit from my credit cards. The collection account was bogus, and I easily had it removed, but BoA would not re-instate my credit, causing my credit score to go from above 700 to very close to 600. My credit was ruined through BoA´s actions. I was never late nor did I ever pay the minimum due.

I will dance an Irish jig on their grave when they go bankrupt, may they rot in hell.

What is the difference between that and this? Other than you agree with one and not the other. You thought it a good thing for those in power to regulate the behavior you did not like.

Years ago, wife and I closed our Bof A accounts and switched to a smaller bank- a Credit Union. B of A was doing all sorts of funny accounting and fees we often had no idea what they were and the bank could not tell us a reasonable explanation. We just got fed up with them and never went back. I always had the feeling B of A was happy to see a small timer family account go, anyway.

The CRVA’s current deal with the CIAA calls for Charlotte to provide the CIAA with $1 million annually along with use of the Convention Center rent-free.
