| A Democratic state lawmaker´s recent web post critical of the libertarian-leaning Free State Project has gone virtually viral in the past few days and, as one might expect, has drawn criticism. Reacting to reports that the Free State Project is aggressively trying to bring 20,000 supporters to live in the state over the next two years, Rep. Cynthia Chase, D-Keene, wrote on BlueHampshire.com: “In the opinion of this Democrat, Free Staters are the single biggest threat the state is facing today.”

I would vote for making NH unwelcoming to Massachusetts liberals moving north to escape the liberal lunacy that is Massachusetts. Unfortunately, no one elected me Dictator. We have had our political Ups/Downs and right now we are in a real New Hampshire Downer!
Not only did ‘WE’ vote for Obama twice but we put an incredibly stupid woman in as NH governor, changed control of the house from GOP to Donkycraps and replaced our two GOP US Reps with screaming liberal JackAss woman whose total focus is birth control and child welfare and instituting a state income and sales tax.
A friend of mine who professes to be a Conservative Libertarian voted for these three Left Wing Witches because his property taxes are too high. Go figure!
It is obvious who went to the polls in NH and who stayed home last November. The NH GOP was totally outclassed by the Dem’s organization and Obama’s tidal wave.
And now we see that one of our second term NH state reps is a Flipping Fascist!!!!!!!!!!
Being elected from Keene, AKA San-Fran-East, it is no wonder that the gays/perverts/druggies/Marxist and college students from Keene would reelect her.
Several years ago I was enthusiastic about Free Staters congregating in NH but the Libertarian focus of the movement that focuses on eradicating most all drug laws is a total nonstarter for me. If they would disavow the drug law BS, I would reconsider.
Druggies have infested the Libertarians who dominate the Free Staters which is a real shame.
Unfortunately, Libertarian does not equal Conservative.

She is not young.
She does not have a good hair dresser.
She wears glasses similar to the granny glasses of the 1960s.

#11, I wouldn´t let that stop you...druggies will be around whether or not the drugs are legal. That will not change. Look at what a total disaster the "War on Drugs" is. All it did was turn our law enforcement into jackbooted thugs, corrupt our entire criminal justice system, fill our prisons with hundreds of thousands of simple addicts (instead of providing treatment), and create an even bigger drug and gang problem than before. Maybe the Libertarians aren´t so wrong on this issue after all.

With demonrats running NH now, I´m looking forward to some of the stupidity of CO coming to pass in NH. The CO legislature (infested by libtards fleeing CA) is considering a law requiring all dogs to wear life vests when in the water and a mandate that a certified lifeguard be present. Or maybe some of CA´s stupid laws and taxes (for which NY always always follows their lead).

Gun control has been driving the news this week, or at least the mail. In recent weeks readers have been encouraging me to dive into the morass. There is so much noise on this issue that I don´t know where to begin. (Snip) There are abundant gun laws on the books. If they were enforced and followed up we might be able to make a dent in gun violence. But laws don´t curb the lawless.

Today the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Economic Analysis released their 2012 personal income estimates. Personal income is an important economic measure of a state’s well-being. (Snip) Since 1950, Maine has increased taxes and spending dramatically with the introduction of the sales tax in 1951 and the income tax in 1969. New Hampshire, on the other hand, did not. Increasing taxes on the private sector has two consequences. First, higher taxes will mean less money in the pockets of individuals and businesses which will reduce their ability to invest for the future.

With sales for 2012 coming in at about 50,000, that million-car figure is a pipe dream. The word “FREEDOM” is among the list of banned vanity license plate slogans for Washington D.C., according to a government file obtained by a Freedom of Information Request filed by the transparency website GovernmentAttic.org. The lesson is that huge budget deficits and ultra-low interest rates — the basics of stimulus — have limits and can be self-defeating. To use a well-worn metaphor: Stimulus becomes a narcotic. People feel better for a while, but the effect wears off. The economy then needs a new fix. Too many fixes may spawn new problems (examples: excessive debt, asset “bubbles,” inflation). That’s already happened in Japan. It’s caught in a trap. On the one hand, it needs stimulus to grow. On the other, the debt from past stimulus measures threatens future growth.

The city´s designated emergency ambulance company, American Medical Response, has significantly increased its rates, prompting fresh complaints about large bills for trips to the hospital. Starting on Jan. 1, the company hiked its rates about 50 percent, charging $2,445 for a standard trip to the hospital. (Snip) AMR officials have said that it is forced to raise the rates it charges insurance companies to defray the costs of providing emergency service to those only covered by Medicare or Medicaid, as well as those who do not have insurance and cannot afford to pay.

The number of automatic weapons in New Hampshire increased dramatically after 2010, according to federal firearms records, although it remains unclear whether the growth is being driven by civilians, law enforcement or the military. The number of registered machine guns in New Hampshire spiked 80 percent between the end of 2010 and March 2012, according to the most current data available from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). The Republican-led House Rules Committee late Monday approved a rule for a massive Hurricane Sandy relief package that shuts out most GOP proposals to pare back the size of the bill. The main bill provides $17 billion in relief, and an amendment made in order would add another $33.7 billion, for a total of $50.7 billion. Late last week, Republicans offered amendments that would trim the bill significantly, but few of those were made "in order" by the Rules Committee on Monday.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”
