State Rep´s anti-Free Stater
post draws local, national criticism

Union Leader [Manchester, NH], by John DiStaso

Original Article

Posted By:nhchemist, 1/5/2013 5:56:53 PM

A Democratic state lawmaker´s recent web post critical of the libertarian-leaning Free State Project has gone virtually viral in the past few days and, as one might expect, has drawn criticism. Reacting to reports that the Free State Project is aggressively trying to bring 20,000 supporters to live in the state over the next two years, Rep. Cynthia Chase, D-Keene, wrote on BlueHampshire.com: “In the opinion of this Democrat, Free Staters are the single biggest threat the state is facing today.”

Comments:
I would vote for making NH unwelcoming to Massachusetts liberals moving north to escape the liberal lunacy that is Massachusetts. Unfortunately, no one elected me Dictator. The Free State Project is trying to show that Libertarian concepts of small government and individual freedoms lead to a high quality of life. See http://freestateproject.org/ for more information. Social engineers like Ms. Chase hate these ideas.

They are coming out of the closets now..magazines, newspapers, politicians..they want to deny us FREEDOM.
Freedom for me, but not for thee is their motto!
When are we going to say enough?

I think this is the same nut Rush was talking about yesterday. No wonder it got national attention, overnight.

it would actually be pretty simple to create a liberal free state, simply by dumping welfare programs.

Don´t minimize what she´s saying, use it against ALL democrats - it´s what they´d do, right?

Yes, Democrats want to restrict the freedoms of anyone not a liberal Dem.

This is how Hilter did it - one group at a time.

I think it is great that the leftists feel safe in expressing their real views now. It shows people what they are really like. Some people are still blind to it, but I believe some others are starting to realize that they have been sold a bill of rotten goods. Now, if only we can make that work for us...

We have had our political Ups/Downs and right now we are in a real New Hampshire Downer!

Not only did ‘WE’ vote for Obama twice but we put an incredibly stupid woman in as NH governor, changed control of the house from GOP to Donkycraps and replaced our two GOP US Reps with screaming liberal JackAss woman whose total focus is birth control and child welfare and instituting a state income and sales tax.

A friend of mine who professes to be a Conservative Libertarian voted for these three Left Wing Witches because his property taxes are too high. Go figure!

It is obvious who went to the polls in NH and who stayed home last November. The NH GOP was totally outclassed by the Dem’s organization and Obama’s tidal wave.

And now we see that one of our second term NH state reps is a Flipping Fascist!!!!!!!!!!

Being elected from Keene, AKA San-Fran-East, it is no wonder that the gays/perverts/druggies/Marxist and college students from Keene would reelect her.

Several years ago I was enthusiastic about Free Staters congregating in NH but the Libertarian focus of the movement that focuses on eradicating most all drug laws is a total nonstarter for me. If they would disavow the drug law BS, I would reconsider.

Druggies have infested the Libertarians who dominate the Free Staters which is a real shame.

Unfortunately, Libertarian does not equal Conservative.

There seems to be a real problem with "We the People" defining all of US, not just one Party.

Yesterday´s photo looked like Cynthia was wearing fatigues. Wonder if she wears arm boots.

Someone posted her email address yesterday. Wonder how many emails she received.

Yes, #8 I have seen a picture.

She is not young.
She does not have a good hair dresser.
She wears glasses similar to the granny glasses of the 1960s.
She looks very tired.
She does not have a nice smile.
She does have more than one chin.

Other than that, I would caution you. The picture is as Rush described. Her unflattering photo was on Breitbart yesterday I believe.

#11, I wouldn´t let that stop you...druggies will be around whether or not the drugs are legal. That will not change. Look at what a total disaster the "War on Drugs" is. All it did was turn our law enforcement into jackbooted thugs, corrupt our entire criminal justice system, fill our prisons with hundreds of thousands of simple addicts (instead of providing treatment), and create an even bigger drug and gang problem than before. Maybe the Libertarians aren´t so wrong on this issue after all.

With demonrats running NH now, I´m looking forward to some of the stupidity of CO coming to pass in NH. The CO legislature (infested by libtards fleeing CA) is considering a law requiring all dogs to wear life vests when in the water and a mandate that a certified lifeguard be present. Or maybe some of CA´s stupid laws and taxes (for which NY always always follows their lead).

Sanitary-minded pool-goers who preach "no peeing in the pool," despite ordinary and Olympic swimmers admitting to the practice, now have scientific evidence to back up their concern. Gov. Bobby Jindal of Louisiana recently told a Nashua, N.H., audience about his experience with a school bully. Bullying is a nationwide problem, but the bully Jindal was describing was U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, who recently tried to crush school choice in Louisiana. Last Monday, March 17, parents in New York City who send their children to Success Academy, a Harlem charter school, filed suit in federal court to stop another school bully, Mayor Bill de Blasio, from denying them previously arranged space in a public school building.

The American gun control movement is going corporate. Still reeling from the stinging legislative defeats of 2013, proponents of tougher firearm regulations are increasingly turning their focus to private sector campaigns. Gun control groups have claimed victories in recent months, successfully pushing Starbucks to declare guns unwelcome in stores and persuading Facebook to crack down on unregulated firearm solicitations. With no end in sight to the congressional gridlock that has thwarted more stringent federal gun laws, groups say they will continue to apply pressure on major companies.

In an interview with CQ Roll Call, Moran says, “I think the American people should know that the members of Congress are underpaid.” The House recently took up a bill to freeze members’ paychecks, placing another halt on the annual cost-of-living pay increases they would normally get and keeping annual salary at $174,000. With Chris Christie in deep trouble, Republican poobahs are reportedly looking to Jeb Bush to save their party in 2016. The former two-term governor of Florida speaks fluent Spanish, is a convert to Catholicism, and has high name recognition. Jeb could raise millions of dollars over night by just saying “yes” to running. Despite all this, there are strong reasons Republicans should say no to him. 1. His last name is poison. Let’s face it, if Jeb Bush had the last name of Something Else he would have already run for president in 2008 or 2012. According to a recent Washington Post/ABC News poll registered voters were asked if they would definitely NOT vote for Jeb Bush and 50 percent said they would not.

But if Republicans want to avoid intra-party carnage, they should be very careful about doing what The Post recently reported: “Many of the Republican Party’s most powerful insiders and financiers have begun a behind-the-scenes campaign to draft
