GOP´s Camp: Obama´s ´spending problem
is getting worse, not better´

Investor´s Business Daily, by Andrew Malcolm

Original Article

Posted By:SurferLad, 1/5/2013 9:13:19 AM

Hello, I am Congressman Dave Camp from the Fourth District of Michigan and Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee. Let me be candid. I understand the frustration so many Americans have with Washington right now. And you´re right - this government we have spends too much and wastes too much. It´s time for us to stand up and say ´enough is enough´ to those who would tax and spend even more.

The problem is no longer liberal spending. The problem now is too many voters have accepted the premise "tax them and spend on me". Even liberals won´t be able to quench majority voters´ thirst.

Obama is addicted to spending, and someone has to turn off his "fix".
democrats are very willing to enable his bad habit because they use the money to buy votes.

Seems the fix is to just talk slowly and plainly to King obama. Then he will change his ways.

Unless the obvious is actually true: He wants to totally bankrupt this country because he hates us. Shezaam, it´s that simple.

I don´t disagree with your words, Rep. Camp, but I would point out that Republicans spent like democrats during the Bush years when you had the WH, the Senate and the House.

I´m not calling you a liar, yet, but don´t try to tell me that Republicans don´t also LOVE having all that money to pass around to their buds and buy votes, too. They do, and you know it, so no more articles without telling the whole story, please.

Finally, Rep. Camp, lots of us believe that the only way to stop you guys is to take drastic action. I hope you ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING THIS TIME and that drastic action doesn´t become our only option.

There is an old story about, I believe, FDR.

At a State dinner, he asked the steward for another dinner roll. The steward replied, “One roll per diner, sir.” FDR puffed up and announced, “I’m the president.” The steward smiled and said, “Yes Sir, and I’m the guy who hands out the rolls.”

Speaker Boehner needs to remember, he hands out the rolls.

Well he got most of it right but he missed a huge chunk of it. Washington is spending a whole lot of out money on things they have no business spending it on. Washington is suppose to be a limited form of government. He didn´t mention getting rid of all those departments and programs that have nothing to do with the enumerated powers. Until they do that it will be the same old same old.

Hi, I’m Ann Wagner. It’s truly an honor to represent the heartland of our country in St. Louis, Missouri, as a member of the United States Congress. Growing up working in my parents’ carpet store, my daddy used to tell me that your word is your bond. That when your bond is broken; your trust is broken. (Scroll down for video of these full remarks.) Unfortunately, President Obama has broken that bond with the American people, and they no longer can trust his word. It seems like every week there is another broken promise from this administration about ObamaCare. As a candidate for president, then-Senator Barack Obama promised to sign

Hi everybody. In my State of the Union Address, I said that the best measure of opportunity is access to a good job. And after the worst recession of our lifetimes, our businesses have created eight and a half million new jobs in the last four years. But we need to do more to make America a magnet for good jobs for the future. And in this year of action, where Congress won’t do that, I will do whatever I can to expand opportunity for more Americans. This week, I took two actions to attract new jobs to America — jobs in American manufacturing, and jobs rebuilding America’s infrastructure.

Contrary to popular conception about porky Americans, there is some good news today for the country´s toddlers (and their parents) as they begin the journey as the next generation of teens, then adults: A new federal study finds a significant drop in obesity in children between the ages of two and five. A 43% decrease, to be exact. [Snip] The obesity decline among U.S. pre-schoolers is the first optimistic sign in such a major nationwide study. And Obama’s White House was quick to hail Mrs. Obama.

You may have seen news reports about Americans tiring of the war in Afghanistan, now our nation´s longest ever. Not surprising. What is surprising -- and hasn´t been widely noted -- is that it´s taken so long for a U.S. population famously addicted to instant gratification to tire of a deadly war that has so far claimed the lives of 2,313 countrymen and women. In previous wars since 1950 it´s been a mere matter of months before Americans were doubting the reasons for combat.

Good morning. Few promises are more sacred than the ones we make to older Americans. Protecting the dignity and the security our seniors have earned is a commitment that spans generations and party lines. For example, during President Obama´s health care speech to Congress in the fall of 2009, he spoke directly to older Americans. “These steps,” he said, “will ensure that you — America’s seniors — get the benefits you´ve been promised.” Then, during a telephone town hall with seniors from around the country, he said he wanted to respond to what he called “hysterical claims” about his plan. “Here’s the truth..." he said,
