Barack Obama’s $7 million Hawaii
vacation is an insult to America’s
struggling middle class

Telegraph [UK], by Nile Gardiner

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 1/4/2013 9:55:03 PM

$16.4 trillion – that’s the latest figure for America’s massive national debt. Nearly $6 trillion of this debt was racked up in the first term of the Obama presidency – a 50 percent increase. It is horrifying to imagine what the debt will be when Obama leaves the White House in 2016, unless Congress has the willpower to stand in the way. Meanwhile, as the world’s superpower is literally drowning in debt, President Obama is basking in the warmth of the beaches of Hawaii, at an exclusive resort way beyond the financial reach of most Americans.

Comments:
This megalomaniac doesn´t care about America and her people. All he and his grifter wife do care about is the power and all the freebies that come with the job.

John Boehner could have easily won the tax deal if he just mentioned how many vacations obama has taken and hundreds of millions he has cost us just flying around. Throw in some photos of the luxury obama surrounds himself with and the dozens if not hundreds of people coming on vacation with him at our expense.

But gotta be nice.
This is no time to be nice.
John Boehner has shown how tough he is stabbing conservatives in the back in the House. If he showed just a small % he would of won the budget fight.

The audacity of it all.

Meanwhile, many seniors receive SS checks each month for less than the Wookie pays for a pair of shoes. Many Americans earn less each year than the rent of yet another vacation home.

Good to be the king.

I think 7 million is on the light side of costs.

Secret Service
Two round trip flights on Air Force One
Staff
Food
Security off shore
Planes on stand by
Business shut down for security
All the rounds of golf...
All the car trips with entourage

20 plus days at an exclusive rental... Which could run 100k a week- easy

So I say- GAO. Could come up with more exact numbers.

3, maybe 4 round trips on AF1. What are the odds that mister and missus will fly home together?

Mere mortals cannot fully comprehend His mysterious ways, whether He is focusing lasers on the economy or vacationing in Maui. Only He Himself knows the vast depth and breadth of His Almighty Benevolence and Omniscient Wisdom. We must not blaspheme by questioning the trifling expense He extracts from us to keep the Virgin Michelle happy in Hawaii. His scribes lay down their pens when He requests their silence, as is fitting the King of Kings.

Just incredible the arrogance and disregard for taxpayers in this country. Opulent living that most can only dream of. The only sacrifice I see going on is coming from those who lost their jobs because of the negligence of the elected, people living in the destruction of what once was their home until Sandy hit, with a drive by of a President who had a lot of photo ops walking midst the tears and the destruction just days prior to his re-election. Once elected he has flicked the American people off his back like lint as he climbs aboard "the plane" to jet off to elegant living...the mistake made on Nov 6 is being revealed moment to moment. God help this country...You are our only hope. Reveal the corruption.

Instead of a quantitative division of votes cast in the 2012 (or for that matter 2008) election do a qualitative division of what kind of individuals voted for whom. It makes you sicker than the election results - and qualifies you as a racist by the contemporary culture.

Obama is a narcissist who believes that he deserves everything and we should be honored to have the opportunity to give it to him. It is extremely dangerous to have someone with this kind of personality disorder wield so much power. He has no conscience. He feels no empathy. He has the capacity to lie without any remorse. He believes that anything he says or does is justified as being right just because of who he is. He believes he is the arbitrator of right and wrong. There has never been a bigger threat to this country and more than half of us are blind to it. The only thing that is going to save this country is divine intervention.

What about the other 50 vacations of the same level? Australia, Spain, Malaysia, Mexico, Europe, Las Vegas, etc. etc? It´s no wonder that the concept of royalty has died out except in the most tyrannical of third world countries, and of course our strange friends in Britain.

The obamas are trash and the people who voted for them have ancestors at the bottom of various ponds and swamps.

Think of all the executives who take the reins of an ailing company and accept one dollar a year in salary. Think of Harry Truman, driving himself and wife Bess home to Missouri at the end of his White House term. How we have changed. Had Mitt Romney been elected, this insulting and arrogant vacation would never have happened. I suppose people will say that 7 million is a drop in the bucket, but symbolically it sucks.

This is one reason why newspapers are going by the wayside - not because of the internet but because their news is so biased. One would think that the press would actually wake up to this but it´s not going to happen. Think if there was a Republican president when Libya happened (it wouldn´t have happened under a republican president), what if a Republican president took all these lavish vacation (again, a republican would not have taken them). Then again a republican VP misspelled one word trying to help a little child out and the press was all it for months. What a bunch of losers!!

Obama´s contribution to the debt could have made 6 MILLION millionaires. Or put another way, you would have to have spent 19 cents every hour for the 3.54 billion years the earth has existed. Why can´t the Republicans message this?? They keep thinking Lucy won´t pull the football away from Charlie Brown, and Lucy (aka Reid, Obama and Pelosi) know that only too well.

FTA: "Barack Obama´s Hawaii vacation is merely a symbol of his wider presidency - a culture of impunity and extraordinary arrogance, reckless spending, a striking lack of accountability, and a shameless let them eat cake mentality."

Bottom line.......After a two-hundred-thirty-six year absence, the "Divine Right Of Kings" doctrine has returned to America.

When our leaders refuse to uphold the highest standards and lead by example, those who should know better simply say "Meh", shrug their shoulders, and change the subject if the leader is a liberal democrat.

Leaders no longer look to George Washington´s example. Look at Bill Clinton, who should have resigned in disgrace.

This election reinforced how powerful the media remains.
Talk radio , the internet , FOX News and blogs still cannot compete with their power.
Until " they " decide to expose the profligate spending and profane and sybaritic lifestyle of the Obamas ,
the majority of Americans will never hear a negative word about it.

My greatest sense of frustration is borne by not being able to express the rage, disgust, and contempt I feel for Barry and his disgustingly repulsive wife. They are classless, ill bred, without manners and any taste or judgment and represent only a small segment of this nation even though they are depicted as though this is all of America worldwide. I look at them and want to cry, laugh, scream out loud, and say please count again...this can´t be true. Just the sight of the pictures of big mama hand holding with the surly daughters, Barry running up and down the stairs of Airforce One and this puke of a supposed man swimming in the Pacific makes me want to cry.

Question: Why do so many posters keep giving FOX a pass? FOX is now nearly as much a part of the corrupt media as their competiton. True, there are a few more pockets of "good" here and there, but not many.

The people who voted for this imbecile, except for us, were (a) attracted to voting for a minority; (b) do not care what he has done, is doing, and will do to our country; (c) are politically uneducated; and/or (d) are brainwashed by the liberal media.

These clowns are laughing up their sleeves at everything they´re getting away with, and it´s only going to get worse; they are an insult to every American. Two of my few consolations are reading the Lucianne comments and listening to Mark Levin, knowing I´m not alone in feeling such disgust and despair.

Marine Cpl. Joshua Boston´s timely reminder to Sen. Dianne Feinstein applies just as well to our self indulgent president:

"I am not your subject. I am the man who keeps you free. I am not your servant. I am the person whom you serve. I am not your peasant. I am the flesh and blood of America."

The more Americans who know THEIR place, the fewer politicians will have to be reminded of theirs. We are not their peasants.

#73 has expressed we are not peasants --how true but we are acting like we are every time we whine and complain then allow the elitists to continue their agenda.
The Clinton fiasco gave us a ruling that we the people are allowed to sue the president for personal damage to our lives.
The media couldn´t stop hundreds to thousands of individual such law suits against this obama destruction.
Obama´s rating has fallen 10 points the last few days. If the dems were kept trying to coverup such suits they would soon tire of him and remove him. At this point even Biden has shown he has more ability to fill the office than Obie.

The Jefferson family...er, I meant Obama family, extravagances may be an insult to America´s taxpayers who are picking up the tab, but they are applauded by another constituency much more important to Obama..."his people."

Never have the brothers (and sisters) seen anyone "getting over" like Obama and Moochelle! (Try to) live with it, folks.

On a related note, I got this today:

The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is proud to be distributing the greatest amount of free meals and food stamps ever -- to 46 million people!!

Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asks us "Please Do Not Feed the Animals." Their stated reason for the policy is ´because the animals will grow dependent on handouts, and will not learn to take care of themselves.´

As Bill Ayers would say, "Guilty as Hell. Free as a bird. WHAT A COUNTRY!"

I remember reading in grade school how President Teddy Roosevelt banned having a Christmas tree in the White House, concerned about the message it would give to the many Americans who were concerned that Christmas tree harvests were stripping our forests. It was a sacrifice he made, out of concern for the image he was portraying. So much for portraying a sacrificial image to the American people, huh, Mr. President? I wish we could ban HIM from the White House out of concern that he is stripping tax payers of all their money!

I stopped in our local big box store and had a cup of coffee with a buddy. It was cold and rainy out and felt good to be in out of the wind. Here came the great unwashed. The kids - all ages wearing the latest Tee shirts, jogging suits and flip-flops. No socks or jackets. Each of the younger kids had some sort of berry or ipad or some type of device and were playing games. The older members of the group, attired as the kids, stood around, sneezing and couging on one another, deciding what soda to buy or burger to get. Not a coat, sweater, jacket or pair of socks in/0n any of them. I waited until they had spread out in another direction and left, trying to no step in their debris/residue as I left.

I´m also sorry for the Marines who had to stay on post instead of with their families, and all the Hawaiian police who did backup. This is why the Clintons and the G.W.Bush families stayed in Washington, or Camp David for Christmas. They had respect for other peoples families.

One of the first political issues negotiators must tackle in crafting an immigration reform bill is among the most important: what to name it. Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Gluten-free diets are all the rage, but they can be dangerous if not done right. What is gluten? It´s the spongy complex of proteins, found naturally in wheat, rye, and barley, that gives elasticity to dough and allows it to rise. When flour is moistened and either kneaded or mixed into dough, gluten molecules form an elastic, microscopic latticework that traps the carbon dioxide produced when yeast ferments, causing dough to inflate like a hot air balloon. Baking hardens the gluten, which helps the finished product keep its shape. Wheat — and gluten — is ubiquitous in the American diet.
