Obama calls Conscience Clause for
Military Chaplains “Ill-Advised”

Fox News, by Todd Starnes

Original Article

Religious liberty advocates are concerned after President Obama said a conscience clause that would allow military chaplains to opt-out of performing gay marriages is “unnecessary and ill-advised.” (Snip) “Every member of our armed forces should be able to serve without surrendering their beliefs,” said Ron Crews, executive director of the Chaplain Alliance for Religious Liberty. The clause is in the National Defense Authorization Act signed by President Obama on Thursday – but he issued a statement noting his objections to Section 533 – the clause protecting chaplains. The section reads,

Obama wants to force Christian ministers to perform gay marriages, just as he wants to force Christian nurses to participate in abortions.

This man is evil.

Pray that America survives this freedom-hating, Communist piece of excrement.

I´m just trying to picture what a bunch of Marines would do if their commander ordered them to arrest their chaplain for refusing to ´´marry´´ two pervert sodomites.

But that is just what it may take to start the rebellion to overthrow the Communist Dictator Wanna-Be NØbama!!!

It is easy to see that Military Chaplains will sometimes have conflicts with the military or with their faith.

At times serving two masters will inevitably produce a mess. That can´t be helped.

IMO there must be some faith exemptions. Otherwise the whole process seems a pretense and the Chaplains are simply military officers.

If such is to be the case we should redefine their function as ´Guys you can tell your troubles to´, aka, Bartenders.

President Barack Obama will likely face a high-intensity press conference Monday morning, forcing him to address the Benghazi and IRS-intimidation scandals that are plaguing his administration. British Prime Minister David Cameron and Obama will give a joint press conference in the Rose Garden at 11:15 a.m. EST, where a few reporters will be allowed to ask questions. The questioners will be selected beforehand by the White House, but the two scandals are so prominent that Obama is likely to get a question about each. Tea Party and conservative constitutional groups may be the new targets of the Internal Revenue Service, but former Defense Secretary Don Rumsfeld reveals in his new book out this week that outspoken businesses critical of the federal government are also singled out by the IRS and Securities and Exchange Commission. In "Rumsfeld´s Rules, Leadership lessons in Business, Politics, War and Life," the former chairman of G.D. Searle & Co. said that business leaders often bite their tongue rather than criticize presidents out of fear the administration will retaliate. In a chapter titled "The case for capitalism," Rumsfeld notes that

Facts emerging about Benghazi may not tell us anything new, but they remind us of two important truths: First, the upper levels of the Obama administration are peppered with partisans who play fast and loose with the truth for political gain. Second, regime change and military interventions, especially in the Muslim world, are messy, destabilizing and deadly. The White House and the State Department have consistently misled the public about the terrorist attack that killed four Americans in Benghazi, Libya, on Sept. 11, 2012. Former Democratic Congressman and presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich slammed the unethical targeting of conservative Tea Party groups by the IRS on Fox News Sunday’s panel, unequivocally suggesting that this was political targeting at its worst. After dropping the disclaimer that he is a “liberal Democrat” and does not celebrate Tea Party politics, Kucinich firmly claimed politics has no place with the IRS: “We can not have a condition in America where peoples politics are the basis for IRS attacks.” Asked by Chris Wallace whether he buys the IRS claim that this was just an isolated bureaucratic offense by

Journalist Carl Bernstein said President Barack Obama is no Richard Nixon on Monday, and he would know. “It’s terrible,” Bernstein said of the IRS’s targeting of conservative groups during an appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” “Outrageous. Heads ought to roll. Simple as that. … From what we know so far, some high-up heads.” But Bernstein said that conservatives who are eager to equate the IRS scandal to Watergate should hold their horses. While the Nixon-era IRS investigated his political enemies and subjected them to audits, it did so at the direction of the president and his aides.

Chuck Todd, too, weighed in on the matter, questioning why more Democrats haven’t been more outraged. President Obama needs to go public and deem the IRS’ actions outrageous and unacceptable, Brokaw asserted. He needs to find those responsible and clean house. It’s not a political issue, Brokaw contended — “it’s about trusting your government.” “It’s time for action,”

While there is always pungent hypocrisy when one gang of politicians accuses another gang of playing politics, the current phony outrage from the Obama Protection Society is exceptionally putrid. After all, the whole saga of Benghazi — before, during and after the terror attack — reflects nothing so much as the ultimate expression of Barack Obama’s politics.

Call it “Oval Office Couch Syndrome.” By the second term “inside the bubble,” presidents have completely lost touch with reality: Aides and confidants conspire to keep the chief executive insulated from the real world — the bad news, the worse press coverage. They think it’s their job, and lounging on the Oval Office couches, they nod along with the president’s every musing. But this presidency has taken OOCS to new heights — Mr. Obama has only a few trusted aides, and occasional leaks from the West Wing show a paranoid president suspicious of nearly everyone around him.

Congressional Republicans are using their Benghazi investigation as political "subterfuge" to distract from other issues, House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Saturday. Pelosi said it´s important to find out what happened in the Sept. 11, 2012, attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya. But the right is taking it too far, she said in an interview with MSNBC´s Melissa Harris-Perry.
