Making out with Bill, an office
flirtation and singing ´you´re so

to reveal softer side of Hillary
Rodham Clinton in her 20s

Daily Mail [UK], by Daniel Bates

She may be going through personal dramas all of her own, but Hillary Clinton´s early life could soon be appearing on the Silver Screen. A script about the Secretary of State in her 20s and how she chose her husband over her career has become the talk of Hollywood. The husband in question is future President Bill Clinton, and her job was as the youngest member of the House Judiciary Committee trying to impeach President Nixon. In one scene the young Mrs Clinton--who was released from hospital yesterday over a blood clot on her brain--is shown kissing her husband

She was a vapid pain in the ass during the Watergate hearings. One could fill a tome with her documented lies over the past few decades. She was a major player in or solely responsible for every Clinton scandal. She told Bill not to settle with Paula Jones which resulted in the clod´s impeachment and she should still be in jail for what she personally did to Billy Dale and the rest of the WH travel staff. BUT unfortunately if a leftist dirt-ball like 0bama can get elected -twice!- in what used to be America, anything can happen. Lord help us.

Hillary put her Bill before her career. Oh Yeah?
we remember How she promised a Dem leadership caucus that she would get the goods on Nixon for them even if you had manufacture some.
We learned you didn´t have the personality to follow your great career until you latched onto fellow committee 20 something Bill Clinton. You had to settle for making Bill President to collect your Dem debt because you didn´t and still don´t have the charm or brains to make the grade.
Call it a day make your deal and leave.

So, she went to Arkansas only after failing the DC bar exam? How is that "following her heart"? Sounds like an accurate assessment of the situation. Since she was singing You´re So Vain to herself, she obviously still had a tiny bit of rationality left. In any event, if her maroon husband hadn´t been elected President, she´d still be a hack lawyer in the boonies. Sort of a low-rent Gloria Steinem.

#11, the Mail has a well-earned reputation for tongue-in-cheek reporting. Note the comment following Bill Clinton´s reported preference for Meryls Streep:

However given that it would be about Mrs Clinton in her 20s a much younger actress would have to play the part.

You have to imagine the tongue in the cheek, the cheeky grin, and the rolling eyes of the writer. (Conservative Britons are not keen on the Streep version of Baroness Thatcher.)

Kremlinology is the famously impossible art of trying to gaze inside the minds of Russia´s leaders, whose actions were described by Winston Churchill as "a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma". Like the proverbial Russian doll, Moscow can present an endless number of outer faces to the wider world, and few ever reach the one that tells the inner truth. [Snip] Yet for those trying to work out why he has chosen to invade Crimea--and where he might go next--there is, these days, the chance to do some reasonably educated guesswork. All one needs to do is to check out his favourite authors, as did PHD student Maria Snegovaya in this

Britain has a "duty" to embrace fracking in the wake of the Ukraine crisis, David Cameron has said, as he accused opponents of shale gas exploration of not "understanding" the issue properly. The Prime Minister said that Vladimir Putin´s annexation of Crimea should be a "wake up call" and that European countries must become less reliant on Russian gas. There is growing concern that European leaders are unable to put sufficient pressure on Mr Putin over the crisis in Ukraine because they are so dependent on Russia for energy supplies. Asked whether it is now "our duty to ensure that we are

Holland’s Queen Maxima proved to be a distraction for David Cameron, Barack Obama and Francois Hollande at the Nuclear Security Summit in The Hague. The 40-year-old appeared to court more attention than her husband King Willem-Alexander last night at the Royal Palace Huis ten Bosch. The monarchs greeted their international guests before the official dinner. As Britain´s Prime Minster David Cameron shook the King´s hand he was making eye contact with the blonde-haired queen. Similarly French President Francois Hollande directed his gaze at the mother-of-three as he greeted her husband. US President Obama appeared to share a

Former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld has said that ´a trained ape´ could do a better job managing American interests in Afghanistan than President Obama. The retired Republican made the insult while doing a phone-in interview for Greta Van Susteren´s Fox News show on Tuesday. He argued that the President made a serious error by failing to negotiate a status forces agreement with Afghan President Hamid Karzai. Gawker points out that such an agreement would effectively commit the United States to having a certain number of troops in the country for a number of years beyond the already-agreed-upon plan which

If you still need to buy health insurance, the clock is ticking. Most residents shouldn´t worry about Obamacare´s March 31 deadline because they´re already insured, many of them through their employer, or by Medicare or Medicaid, but those who aren´t could face a fine for failing to enroll in a plan by Monday. This penalty, officially called the "individual shared responsibility payment," is $95 per adult and $47.50 per child, or 1 percent of your household´s annual income. Many consumers don´t realize that the penalty they will owe is whichever of those two amounts is greater, said Colin Smoak, an

How 19th century art is painting a picture

Landscapes by JMW Turner are some of the most beautiful and instantly recognisable works by a British artist. And now scientists have found that famous paintings of sunsets can help them study previous levels of pollution in the Earth’s atmosphere. Turner’s work in particular reveals that in the early 19th century, ash and gas released during a major volcanic eruption lingered in the sky and made sunsets appear redder. According to a study published in the journal Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics, painters in Europe could see the colours of the sky changing after the Tambora volcano in Indonesia erupted in 1815.

A few weeks ago, I wrote about how the sweeping acceptance of gay marriage in recent years is owed in large part to Christianity. Rejecting the rigidly hierarchical and stratified societies of the ancient world, Jesus Christ taught the equal dignity of all persons, proclaimed that the meek shall inherit the earth, and declared that the last shall be first and the first shall be last. The Western world has been working out the logic of these subversive teachings ever since, with the institutional transformation of marriage being the latest, though surely not the last, example of its social, moral,

Most Supreme Court watchers are fixated these days on Sebelius v. Hobby Lobby—the important challenge to the Affordable Care Act’s contraception mandate scheduled for argument Tuesday. And why wouldn’t they be? With its potent mix of religion, sex, Obamacare, and prayerful corporations, it’s the blockbuster case of the term. It is also a crucial test of Chief Justice John Roberts’s leadership on the Supreme Court. Just two years ago, Roberts cast the deciding vote to largely uphold the Affordable Care Act. The Flemish daily De Morgen has offered apologies for the Obama cartoon that was shown in its satirical section "The Daily Herald" on Saturday. The digital collage compares the Obamas with monkeys and triggered numerous international reactions. De Morgen says they made an error of judgement.
