In 2013, conservatives can offer no greater tribute of respect to our Founding Fathers and our fellow citizens than to resolve, from this day forward, to relentlessly expose, ridicule, deride, mock and publicly shame arrogant progressives in a manner that, for the first time in our adult lifetimes, communicates this one undeniable founding truth: America was never supposed to be this way. The progressive left´s ultimate weapon of choice in emasculating America´s strength has clearly and undeniably been outed as radical debt accumulation.
Comments: The writer further talks about "combat skills", about which I completely agree. The GOP have never been street-fighters. That must change.
Water seeks its own level. Freedom leads to wealth, then to envy. Always. Then you never get elected by taking away stuff. My point? It is in our genes. ALL free men/countries will inevitably succumb. Is collapse a better term?
#6 I want to see action in my lifetime. Destruction is well on its way, but the frog is being boiled slowly so people put up with it. Let´s hasten the process. Why do you think the dims want to take away all the guns?
#1, thus a representative republic rather than a democracy - unfortunately enemies of the republic changed the selection rules of reps and senators, allowing something more akin to democracy to function - it just took it longer to get here than a pure democracy.
We somehow need to rekindle the TEA Party anger at, and distrust of, all incumbents, who have just condemned America to insolvency.
We need to follow the sage advice of Howard Beale from the movie Network, who said, “I want all of you to get up out of your chairs. I want you to get up right now and go to the window. Open it, stick your head out, and yell, ´I´M AS MAD AS HELL, AND I´M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!´...Things have got to change. But first, you´ve gotta get mad!...”

European businesses are likely to abandon the services of American internet providers because of the National Security Agency surveillance scandal, the European commission has warned. Neelie Kroes, the commission vice-president who speaks on digital affairs, predicted that providers of cloud services, which allow users to store and access data on remote servers, could suffer significant loss of business if clients fear the security of their material is under threat.
The Obama administration on Wednesday broadened an exemption for American Indians from the new health care law´s requirement that virtually every U.S. resident has health insurance starting next year. New rules clarify that people who are eligible to receive medical care through the federal Indian Health Service will be exempt from the requirement to have health insurance or face fines from the Internal Revenue Service.
Justice Anthony Kennedy did the cause of gay marriage no favors when he ruled that the purpose of laws that uphold traditional marriage was to "disparage and injure" same-sex couples. By casting support for traditional marriage falsely as bigotry, he undermined the legitimacy of the holding in the case. Worse, he implictly excused the real--not imagined--bigotry of some gay marriage supporters against their opponents.
Huma Abedin is gathering her friends around husband Anthony Weiner, to support his run for mayor. The Hillary Clinton senior adviser and her sister, Heba, are hosting the first Women for Weiner fund-raiser tonight at the home of author and socialite Jill Iscol, who also hosted a bridal shower for Chelsea Clinton.

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: Senator McCain this afternoon was on Fox News Channel´s Happening Now. (snip) ...they vote down amendments that would do exactly that. They don´t want to secure the border. They´re offering amendments, and they´re making statements to make us think they want to secure the border. They offer amendments and they make statements to make us think that they hear us. A Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agent allegedly told a 15-year-old girl at Los Angeles International Airport to "cover herself" before she boarded her flight. The girl´s father, BoingBoing.com website editor Mark Frauenfelder, posted an article about the exchange on Sunday evening. In it, Frauenfelder alleges that the TSA agent "humiliated and shamed my 15-year-old daughter."
In a new Facebook post, the mother of 10-year-old Sarah Murnaghan said her daughter made a "tiny step in the right direction" following last week´s lung transplant. Janet Murnaghan, of Newtown Square, delivered the news in a Facebook message that was apparently posted early Monday. She went on to say that Sarah was able to "back off some of her vent settings in terms of her O2 [oxygen] requirements." Janet continued, saying "Sarah´s x-rays improved a little today too. She is still fully sedated and critical."
Reformist-backed cleric Hassan Rouhani has won Iran´s presidential election, securing just over 50% of the vote and so avoiding the need for a run-off. Crowds gathered in Tehran to hail Mr Rouhani, who said he had achieved a "victory of moderation over extremism". A turnout of 72.2% was registered of the 50 million Iranians who were eligible to vote for the successor to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
Conservative bloggers went wild Monday when they got wind of the Congressional Black Caucus’ suggestion that President Obama pick Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Houston for the post of Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. Rich Cooper, avid blogger for Security Debrief, responded to the news of the Jackson Lee recommendation in a post by saying, “Apparently, it is not a joke. For reasons that baffle any sense of reality, it is a serious gesture on the part of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) to encourage President Obama to nominate Rep. Jackson Lee
There have been days since her son Ezekiel was born 11 months ago that Los Angeles mom Beth Capper has gone without food to keep up her supply. One friend was arrested for stealing some. It´s not drugs or alcohol or even baby formula that has put her in such a bind. It´s diapers. "There´s no way around buying them," said Capper, a 41-year-old single mother who doesn´t work because of a disability. Across the country, mothers like Capper are facing the same predicament. According to a report published Monday in the
America is in great shape energy-wise. We have more gas and oil reserves than ever before. Indeed, the United States could shortly become the world’s largest exporter of coal. Our cheaper power rates may bring energy-intensive industry back from Europe and Asia. If America’s small colleges are nearly broke and our public schools failing, nonetheless our blue-chip universities’ math, science, and engineering departments, and professional schools, remain the best in the world. President Obama has been rolling up his sleeves campaigning across the country delivering a surreal stump speech message supposedly aimed at the middle class: big government works, Obamacare is manna from heaven, the wave of recent scandals are “phony” figments of the imagination, and all economic problems are the fault of the Republicans. Conveniently, he leaves out the bankruptcy of Detroit, a city run by his own party for more than half a century. His message is so stale and unconvincing, that even The New York Times and Washington Post have noticed. Both papers, usually loyal to Obama, remarked that
Gotta figure her lead would be even bigger without Joe Miller in the field here. Her nomination for the taking? Alaska should be a top tier pick up opportunity for Senate Republicans next year…but their top choice of a candidate is Sarah Palin. 36% of GOP primary voters in the state say they’d like Palin to be their standard bearer against Mark Begich to 26% for Mead Treadwell, 15% for Dan Sullivan, and 12% for Joe Miller.
Sen. John McCain — a Democrat? There was confusion Wednesday after the Arizona Republican mistakenly strolled into President Obama’s meeting with Senate Democrats at the Capitol. The room full of Democrats — who happened to be meeting in the same room where the Senate GOP usually holds their weekly policy luncheons — erupted in applause and laughter as the former Republican presidential candidate made his entrance. As McCain, 76, walked out of the Dem-filled space, reporters pressed him as to why he stepped foot in the room.
In an interview on National Public Radio (NPR), House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said her new agenda for women will give mothers access to day care so they can “earn without carrying the burden of child care.” During the interview, aired on Weekend Edition Sunday, Pelosi spoke about her newly announced agenda, which is on her website, and is titled, “When Women Succeed, America Succeeds: An Economic Agenda for Women and Families,” a plan that includes universal pre-school and access to day care for working women, and an increase in the minimum wage.
Embattled Internal Revenue Service official Lois Lerner and an attorney in the Federal Election Commission’s general counsel’s office appear to have twice colluded to influence the record before the FEC’s vote in the case of a conservative non-profit organization, according to e-mails unearthed by the House Ways and Means Committee and obtained exclusively by National Review Online. The correspondence suggests the discrimination of conservative groups extended beyond the IRS and into the FEC, where an attorney from the agency’s enforcement division in at least one case sought and received tax information about the status of a conservative group,
Many low-income families receive government assistance to help them purchase food and housing. Diapers are another story, a new study suggests. In what they are calling the first peer-reviewed study to quantify diaper need, Yale University researchers have found nearly a third of mothers cannot afford to purchase their infants diapers, raising health risks for not only babies but for moms who become stressed over the finances. "Notably absent from the antipoverty efforts targeting families is an essential staple for the health of children, diapers," wrote the researchers, led by Dr. Megan Smith,
Mideast: The sequester has "cost jobs," says President Obama, and "gutted investments in education and science and medical research." But somehow he´s earmarked $500 million for Hamas terrorists. Circumventing Congress and with no fanfare, President Obama last week issued an executive order enabling him to send an additional $500 million directly to the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank — much of which you can bet will wind up going to the Iranian-backed Hamas terrorist organization. According to Obama, "it is important to the national security interests of the United States to waive the provisions of" Congress´ legislative restrictions "in
The mother of Trayvon Martin said Monday that she believed Florida’s Stand Your Ground law played a role in her son’s shooting death, but she wasn’t ready to support a boycott of the state for not changing the self-defense law. “The thing about this law is I just think it assisted the person who killed my son to get away with murder,” Sybrina Fulton, the mother of the 17-year-old from Miami Gardens, said at a National Bar Association event in Miami Beach. “I think we have to change these laws so people don’t get
