There is such a foul stench in that town from all the garbage being peddled. The dims love to spout of how corrupt big business is all the while taking kickbacks and sweetheart deals from them, not to mention campaign money. If they really want to do something with campaign finance laws, they would limit how much any business could give to a campaign, whether it be in free media like the pressitutes give, giving fundraisers, or outright giving donations. Lobbyists also need to have their access limited.

It is true, we lost our nation as a free Republic on that scandal. Honest men looked the other way for fear that to do anything would bring on too terrible a punishment. It´s a shame. Now, we are merely slaves to a bank owned, corporate run conglomerate. Our government has to do what ever the bankers and money men say. Not one thing we can do about it now. Pelosi was stunned at the time and terrified- and simply hid her eyes. They gave the bankers and money men free access to the US treasury and promised absolutely no post-disaster investigations- Ever!

Yeah, and so was the Executive Branch that allowed this to continue in order to pump up that bubble and maintain "full employment". And had the bubble just held a few more weeks of air, it would have been President McCain.

Only one of my six children has left New York for economic reasons but the strain of living in this expensive nanny state is weighing heavy on my other five and their families. As a native New Yorker, I´ve seen its middle class population decline over the years due to its neglect of blue collar families which is ironic since this is a Democrat city. With the recent arrests of several local politicians for corruption perhaps New Yorkers will pay more attention to those they put in office. Given their past indifference in local elections this is highly unlikely.
