Obama lists those to blame for the
fiscal cliff and he´s not one of them

Investor´s Business Daily, by Andrew Malcolm

At this hour of the last day of 2012, 10 days into the new Mayan calendar, it´s become quite clear that the United States is falling off the much-looming fiscal cliff. Or perhaps it won´t. Or maybe if it does, Washington clowns will do something to reverse the new taxes and severe budget cuts. Or do part of something. Or maybe not. Got it? As five or six of you probably saw, Obama made a rare Sunday talkshow appearance to put his spin on the events or non-events. He sounded pretty pessimistic. Downright downbeat, in fact.

The GOP should not care what Obama says. Cut the spending to our means and no tax increases. That is what we elected the GOP to do. The GOP controls the House, so do it.

My bet is that less that 1% of the Obama voters know (or care) what the national debt is or ever heard of the fiscal cliff, ever lived by a household budget, don´t owe more than they have in their bank accounts, have never had a phone call from credit agency, have a credit score over 450, used money THEY EARNED to buy food, have never set foot in a welfare office, have funded their child´s college, have paid for their own home or apartment, have never been arrested, have ever felt a sense of shame for their actions, have gone longer than a month without getting wasted.

Yeah, I´ll probably upset some people but there was a time when people where ashamed to accept a handout or of something they did and tried to never let it happen. That is gone with today´s entitlement culture, where any guilt placed by our culture is place on those who have succeeded. The successful and the moral are the scourge of our society and owe all they have to those that do little or nothing.

Obama is have much to answer for; the destruction of millions of babies, freedom and liberty, absolutes, truth, good, values, marriage, the ability to support yourself, free speech, national pride, respect of other nations, anything sacred...

Sen. Rob Portman gives the Republican Party's Weekly Remarks Hi, I’m U.S. Senator Rob Portman from Ohio, and I want to talk to you today about how to get America moving again. It’s been five years since the experts said the recession was over, but for millions of Americans, it feels like it never ended. We’re living through the weakest economic recovery since World War II, and a lot of folks are struggling to make ends meet. Unemployment remains stubbornly high; the number of long-term unemployed is actually at record levels. But these statistics only tell half the story. Eleven million Americans have become so discouraged that they’ve given up looking for work altogether.

Hi, everybody. This week, I traveled to New England, where I was joined by four governors who are working to raise the minimum wage in each of their states. And they’ve also joined me in calling on Congress to raise the minimum wage from $7.25 to $10.10 an hour. Because it would give nearly 800,000 Americans in their states a raise — and lift wages for about 28 million across the country. So these governors aren’t waiting for Congress to make up its mind. And in my State of the Union Address, I asked America’s business leaders to go ahead and do what they could to raise their employees’ wages, too.

While President Obama´s approval, credibility and trust poll numbers sink into a black sea, the polls on his wife and Secretary of State aren´t that great either. Their numbers are much better than POTUS, according to Gallup. But neither Kerry nor Mrs. Obama is as widely approved by Americans as their recent predecessors. With one exception. Go figure, eh? Kerry's highest personal favorability came years ago when he won the Iowa caucus in 2004 -- 61%. After that, it was pretty much downhill, to 52% on election day and 44% 11 months ago. Even in September during his boss' Syria red-line mess, when Kerry announced his country

Perhaps you´ve heard with echoes of Nazi Germany annexing its neighbors with no convincing Allied response, Russian troops have taken effective control of eastern Ukraine. Here´s how President Barack Obama responded: He telephoned Russian President Vladimir Putin. Obama expressed "deep concern" over Russia´s moves, suggested Putin´s troops leave and warned the occupation "would negatively impact Russia’s standing in the international community." [Snip] Here´s how Col. Putin responded to Obama´s words of warning: He sent more Russian troops into Crimea.

(Scroll down for video of these full remarks.) Unfortunately, President Obama has broken that bond with the American people, and they no longer can trust his word. It seems like every week there is another broken promise from this administration about ObamaCare. As a candidate for president, then-Senator Barack Obama promised to sign

Hi everybody. In my State of the Union Address, I said that the best measure of opportunity is access to a good job. And after the worst recession of our lifetimes, our businesses have created eight and a half million new jobs in the last four years. But we need to do more to make America a magnet for good jobs for the future. And in this year of action, where Congress won’t do that, I will do whatever I can to expand opportunity for more Americans. This week, I took two actions to attract new jobs to America — jobs in American manufacturing, and jobs rebuilding America’s infrastructure.

A 43% decrease, to be exact. [Snip] The obesity decline among U.S. pre-schoolers is the first optimistic sign in such a major nationwide study. And Obama’s White House was quick to hail Mrs. Obama.

You may have seen news reports about Americans tiring of the war in Afghanistan, now our nation´s longest ever. Not surprising. What is surprising -- and hasn´t been widely noted -- is that it´s taken so long for a U.S. population famously addicted to instant gratification to tire of a deadly war that has so far claimed the lives of 2,313 countrymen and women. In previous wars since 1950 it´s been a mere matter of months before Americans were doubting the reasons for combat.

[Snip] Arkansans, like most Americans, have had their grit tested over the last several years through a financial collapse, recession, and a stagnant, jobless recovery. Barack Obama’s policies aren’t solving these problems — they’re causing the problem. She increasingly felt like her work was no longer supported and that it was a struggle to get her reporting on air.
