And yet the CDC, the FDA and pharmaceutical companies keep telling us that the minute amounts of mercury in each vaccinations is completely safe, yet children are receiving up to 32 separate vaccinations by the time they reach school age.

In case you didn´t know, once in the body, mercury continues to accumulate in the body and is never metabolized out.

And when one of those mercury bulbs goes out, do you know what most of us will do with them? Yep, toss them in the trash. Why, because most of us haven´t read the instructions on proper disposal(assuming there are instructions on the packaging for proper disposal...and who keeps the packaging anyway? And why would we read directions on using a light bulb? Oh, and the health warnings...seriously...if we break a bulb, should we call Haz Mat to come and clean it up? Sure sounds like it. Either that or we should all be sure to have masks on hand just in case we need to clean up the broken mercury contaminating the family room carpet.). And what happens when the trash is picked up? They get broken in the garbage truck and do into the land fills contaminating ground water, no doubt. Idiots are running Washington.

There is absolutely no reason for this. These cfc bulbs don´t even really save any energy and they don´t even fit in all my light fixtures. Didn´t anyone tell these dingdongs that there is no good coming from this??? And if their reasoning is "climate change" then someone needs to tell the fools that it has already been proven to be a scam.

Here´s the solution: Take a bunch of mercury bulbs to DC and smash them all over each Department, Agency, Bureau, and the House and Senate offices, floors, meeting rooms, smoking rooms, cafeterias, closets, etc. until those jerks panic from mercury poisioning and get rid of that asinine law.

I hate the government mandated bulbs. Replacing effective, economical products with hazardous crap is stupid, stupid, stupid. If you like the new bulbs, buy them, if you like the originals you should be able to buy them. The market is the decider. Twinkies and light bulbs, thanks government.

There are quite a consortium of regulations mandating that consumers buy more expensive things. Health insurance, light bulbs, and new tvs and cable hookup by those who just as soon have an antenna. All hocked by lobbyists wanting the government to mandate consumer purchases rather than having the inconvenience of persuading them. Quite an industry of schemes to fleece the taxpayer and consumer in DC.

Some persons who have had serious head injuries have MOST adverse reactions to the ´new´ light bulbs .......... dizziness, nausea, even fainting.

OH! a new source of income for former Mexican drug smugglers. {sic}.

Now the new CFL light are a ´weapon´...it contains mercury and if broken causes a mini toxic waste site. What would happen if someone tossed several of them into an official arena? The Feds are setting up one more bad scenario, all it takes is a sicko to take advantage of it.

Most of these bulbs can´t fit smaller fixtures, most can´t be used upside down, or in ceiling cans without special ventialtion. I can´t use them outside in the winter, they never get warm enough to provide any useful light. They are never really bright enough even indoors, I don´t like the colors, and the cheapest ones flicker bad enough to see. I do not like the Sam I am...
