As soon as the Dems come up with significant spending cuts that actually MEAN something, the Pubbies will go along. My fear is that the coward Republicans will go along anyway on anything. Serious cuts to say, defund the EPA, do away with Homeland Security and ATF, and then I awoke and taxes were sky high, spending was sky high and all was right in DC. s/o

In retrospect, the Constitution should have included one more requirement for POTUS: raised as a Christian. This 24X7 lying mussie POS is destroying the country.

It´s not just him. Obama is not the problem. He is a symptom of the problem. The problem is all the people who voted for him. Who believe him. Who think he knows what he is doing, that he is honest, that he is sincere when he claims to be above politics. The problem is American universities, which are crawling and infested with anti-American Leftists like Obama. The problem is the mass media, including the news and entertainment sectors, also riddled with Left wing partisan ideology. And of course the Democratic party, which is currently in the grip of Left wingers opposed to almost every single traditional American value.

There are tens of millions of adults who actually think Obama is on the right track and that the policies he and his Leftist pals are pushing will be good for the country. They really and truly believe this, and nothing, absolutely nothing anybody can say or do will change their minds. They are beyond listening to arguments and other viewpoints.

They are going to have to see and experience for themselves what happens.

The best thing is to go over the cliff and stay there. This country is in serious jeopardy as the number of those not paying any Federal income tax at all approaches 50%, while we are building a permanent unemployed class with benefits seemingly that are approaching infinity and disability claims are the new, early, early retirement plans.

I really do not want to pay more taxes but I prefer a system that more evenly takes from all of us rather than makes of us a nation of envy rather than aspiration.

While the political rherotic soars nobody seems to notice that fiscal year 2013, which started October 1, 2013 the borrowing makes the excesses of the past few years seem paltry.

For the first time the Social Security system has paid out more than it took in by $47B, putting it in the red. This only happened because Social Security revenues was foolishly cut by more than 20% for the past few years.

The Democrat strategy is to build a permanent voting class that pays absoulutely no taxes whatsoever but can be counted on to reliability vote for greater and greater taxes for those who have to support them. The Republicans, seemingly the inept, stupid party keep falling victim to this strategy.

So one more chance, let the sequestration on cuts go into effect, let the tax rates go up, stop permanent unemployment compensation, restore Social Security revenue and cut more spending or we won´t have to worry about falling off the clift, we will drop of Mt. Everest.

Congress needs to do something about Bow-Boy.

In meetings in college and from then on, he was the guy who said little, contributed nothing, just sat there and soaked up what everyone else said.

In the Illinois State Sentate he voted Present. He only presented bills for vote that the Jones guy (powerhouse whose name I forget) took from the poor senator(s) who did all the work and handed to Obie to give him a PR boost.

In the U. S. Senate he voted Present. Or in ways that were counter to the best interests of the citizens of the United States.

The story continues. He is a cypher.

Reply #11, you are so correct. I have never seen such a incompetent, useless, do nothing State Senator, Federal Senator, U.S. President. A coward afraid to speak for the U.S.A. against our complete enemies, a coward to do anything for the working Americans here. We need Herman Cain, or Colonel West, both now, they are real Americans.

Obama needs to do something about the wasteful spending that brought us to the edge of the cliff. His Gravy Train Committee must be the only people in Washington who actually work because the train is getting longer and moving faster. The Republicans were stupid enough to get caught in this no-win situation that is now called a cliff, a choice between raising taxes on everybody or raising taxes on the rich. Either way, it´s a forced tax increase with no spending cuts, exactly what Obama wanted.
