Romney really is the president. The citizens whose votes really count and are paying for this circus elected him. Not Obama. Obama only got more votes because of rabble that didn´t belong anywhere near a voting booth.

Our country has survived all these years because low information voters, for the most part, didn´t vote.
The kenyan klown´s handlers were able to use various communications methods to convince those low information voters to vote. Motor voter laws, early voting, same day registration/voting all were used as carefully as Hitler used his techniques to gain power.

I´m not interested in Ms. Carlson´s opinion, either. And Mitt Romney doesn´t need to redeem himself, either. It is always difficult to unseat an incumbent President. Many who voted for Obama really just voted for the status quo--and not because they liked him or because they wanted him to raise taxes or foist universal health care on us. Do I think they are brain-dead? Yes. But that is one of the costs of democracy.

I don´t buy the theme that GOP losses were due to flawed candidates. McCain or Romney would have been hundreds of percent better than Obama. The real flaw is that the GOP has stood down and let the liberals turn this country into an electorate of takers who depend on democrats for their subsidies.

If Romney were to do any of the things that the liberal media says he should do he would just be showing the country that he is really stupid.

For the last year that liberal media supported Obama 100% as the Obama crew fraudulently trashed Romney personally, practically destroying his personal and business reputations with over half the country. The analysis of the campaigns was quite accurate, it may be hard to admit but it was. The idea that Mitt might lead a campaign against the NRA is laughable. I expect Romney to go back to his private life and live well. Complaining that citizens you do not like are allowed to vote is very anti-democratic. We have a democracy, women can vote, ethnic minorities can vote, and even the unemployed can vote. Elections are won by appealing to a majority of the voters not by insisting that only people who agree with you should be able to vote.

Reply 34, "citizens we don´t like" have a right to vote but I do not think it is too much to ask that voters of any ilk educate themselves nor do I think we should be faulted for wishing that they would do so.

Did the Republican party really want to win? Are there some moderate Republicans that would rather have a liberal Democrat instead of a conservative Republican? Was Romney a conservative or a moderate? I have heard him called both. He tried to be both. Is that even possible? Did that make it hard for him to define his message? It made him easy to attack.

Some comparisons are instructive. In 2008, McCain won the primary but left his main rival undamaged to run again. In 2012, Mitt won the nomination by destroying his Republican rivals. Romney scorched the earth in order to clear the field, leaving him with national favorable/unfavorable polling numbers that doomed his campaign before Obama´s even began. It was ugly, stupid, and unnecessary. Those of us who saw this coming and warned against it were routinely derided by Romney supporters. Next time, we need to remember that how our candidates run is almost as important as who they are, and we need to hold them to Reagan´s Eleventh Commandment throughout our primary process. Leave the lies, attack ads, and opposition research drops to the Democrats.

Unfortunately- the best thing Romney had going for him was that he was not Øbama- a bit overly cautious, ill prepared to serve up all the Øbama failings- and define himself rather than letting the radical leftists define him. Was he really that dim? Well, hopefully we will do better next time.

I only read the headline, but what does Mr Romney have to redeem himself from. He is wealthy, moral, ethical,patriotic, and charitable. You would have to look far and wide to find a better American or a better human being. He is personally far better off NOT being president, only the USA is far worse off.
