What creeps me out is how even the adder´s eyes match the color of that sand.
Excellent series. Snipe took a lot of time to find. But Horned Owl was hidden by shadows more than plumage color.

Since most predators rely on motion, blending in and sitting still is a very effective method of survival. A perfect example of natural selection. He who blends in better lives to procreate another day. It´s all about passing on genes to the next generation.

Powerful depiction of how resilient wild creatures can be. I once took a photo in the Sierras of my son holding a just caught trout. Not until we got the photo developed did we see the mule deer standing a few yards beyond.

My poor color perception made it a little more difficult, but enjoyed the outstanding photography. As mentioned before, the snipe was the most difficult, and I´m still not sure.
