TV Critic: Chelsea Clinton Remains
´Outrageously Unqualified´
for Her NBC News Gig

NewsBusters, by Tim Graham

David Zurawik, a TV writer for The Baltimore Sun, slammed "pretend journalist" Chelsea Clinton on The Daily Download for her work on NBC. "I continue to be fascinated by a network news division putting someone as outrageously unqualified as Clinton on a prime-time newsmagazine," he wrote. "I watched her again last week in a softer-than-soft piece on a weight loss program started by Pastor Rick Warren at his Saddleback Church, and I can say with absolute certainty that she has not improved one lick in the last year." He proclaimed, "In fact, I think she is

Comments:
Zurawik is sure no conservative. I didn´t even know Chelsea Clinton was still acting as a "journalist." Of course I won´t watch NBC so I wasn´t enlightened by that fact. She´s just getting primed for her political career. Oh groan.

You would think that anyone as well educated as Chelsea is would want to make a name for herself on her own instead of taking the favor of a stupid TV job from political soul mates of her parents. Doesn´t she have any pride? For God´s sake Chelsea, go to law school, get A´s, get on law review and then make a name for yourself on your own hook. Stop milking the system. You´re in your 30´s now. Grow up!

People her age with sharper abilities and more degrees have to move in with their parents because they can´t find jobs. It´s amazing what having the right name and set of relatives can get a person. The rather mediocre Kennedy kids have known this all their lives.

Chelsea isn´t the only "pretend journalist" at NBC. At least she is new at the game.

Chelsea is proof why people go into politics. She has no job skills and nothing to offer an employer. Being how she will be eventually labeled the 2nd smartest woman - next to her mother - in the world, this qualifies her to be senator of whatever state she chooses.

As for NBC, if they are looking for a woman with real brains to host a magazine show, they might try asking Liz Cheney - but then Liz has too much brainpower to get mixed up with that outfit.

On the contrary, imo journalism really doesn´t need more than a high school diploma. She´s overqualified. It´s only due to certification inflation that journalism has been stretched as a subject into grad school.

Her real job is to bring in ratings to sell ad space - that´s all. She´s either performing in that capacity or she´s not.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank

Gluten-free diets are all the rage, but they can be dangerous if not done right. What is gluten? It´s the spongy complex of proteins, found naturally in wheat, rye, and barley, that gives elasticity to dough and allows it to rise. When flour is moistened and either kneaded or mixed into dough, gluten molecules form an elastic, microscopic latticework that traps the carbon dioxide produced when yeast ferments, causing dough to inflate like a hot air balloon. Baking hardens the gluten, which helps the finished product keep its shape. Wheat — and gluten — is ubiquitous in the American diet.
