| Americans value their children, their safety, and the right to pursue their dreams without fear -- and those "common values" trump the rights set forth in the U.S. Constitution, Education Secretary Arne Duncan said last Friday in a speech at a Washington, D.C., elementary school. In the coming weeks, Duncan said he plans to spend a lot of time visiting schools and communities -- to talk about gun violence: "I want to talk to gun owners and hunters and sport shooters and ask them, what should we do? I want to talk about community and responsibility,

Comments: Be very afraid! We have the most dangerous regime ever occupying the White House. Give them an inch and they will take a mile and more. The morons who voted them in have no idea what they are capable of and just don´t care, as long as they get their freebies.

Feinstein has officially declared war on the Second Amendment. She is going to introduce an "assault weapons" ban that will include handguns...it´s coming....hope ya´ll are ready..never thought in my lifetime I would see Americans openly embrace communism, socialism all for a cell phone, govt. check and no pride. What should be just an embarrassing situation just took a hard left turn to dangerous waters of treason, the taking of liberty and freedom and the intentional undermining of the Constitution of the United States of America by those sworn to uphold it.

So many people are so stupid or just evil not sure which. The U.S. Constitution protects the "common values", without the 2nd the "common values" would only be the Government´s values which are the same as Obama´s and nothing like the "common values" of Americians.

Why doesn´t government actually listen to doctors, coal miners, petroleum engineers or other experts on other crucial matters?

"Common values trump the rights set forth in the US Constitution" Reeducation Minister Duncan.
From Duncan´s comment on the 2nd Amendment, we can be sure that Obama´s values will trump these as well:
The First Amendment (Amendment I) to the United States Constitution is part of the Bill of Rights. The amendment prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances.

The hard action will come the day after NØbama finally gets to flip one conservative Supreme Court justice.
Once the lie-berals have a majority on the Supreme Court, the Constitution will officially be dead.
For now, lie-berals like Feinstein are just laying the groundwork for massive mandatory gun collections.

I had a very interesting Christmas dinner with my cousins. Both are in law enforcement and both served in the military.
They both pointed out very clearly if the gov´t decides that want to the police to do house to house searches they better start thinking again. Most police officers 1) don´t want to get shot 2) don´t like being out gunned 3) don´t trust the gov´t.
Its going to be interesting.

50,000,000 dollars went to the chigago school district in 2009, using the stimulus funds, to mentor those students at highest risk of being shot. That would be the gangbangers. And the money paid for mentors, 24/7. How did that work out, Arne?

Don´t be afraid, be angry. Fear is for the unknowing. Be angry that he wants to bring the best of the Chicago Public School system to the rest of the country. You´ll get security officers (moonlighting off duty police officers), on duty police officers, metal detectors and lots of indoctrination. But your children won´t get educated. Or rather, they will be educated but they will become less knowledgeable unless you watch out. The teachers do as they´re told and teach only what they´re told to teach. NØbama knows darn well that neither the military or the police would have anything to do with forcing law abiding citizens to give up their guns (as #15 pointed out very well).
But that is all the excuse that NØbama will need to form his Brown Shirt Militia -- made up of former New Black Panther, La Raza and union thugs. They will be outfitted with the best body armor and highest tech weapons that our tax dollars can afford. They will go in groups of 25 or more, crash in through doors and windows, hold your wife and kids at gun point, and give you one minute to turn over every weapon and piece of ammo that you own.
If they have to blow away a few Anglo women and children to make a point, well that is just part of their duty to get all those newly illegal weapons off the streets.
I only wish I was exagerating or that this was some kind of nightmare...

Several snippets of the audio from the February strategy sessions were published Tuesday by Mother Jones magazine, along with a lengthy article. The recording, obtained from an unnamed source, included McConnell aides discussing ways to politically damage actress Ashley Judd, who at the time was talked about as a possible McConnell challenger.

One of the first political issues negotiators must tackle in crafting an immigration reform bill is among the most important: what to name it. It’s a decision that will bruise egos, create legacies and deeply affect subsequent messaging battles. “Every time the bill is mentioned in the press, you either have a brand that´s positive or a brand that doesn´t mean anything or even hurts you,” said Frank Sharry, the executive director of the pro-immigration reform group America’s Voice. The wrong name, he warned, could doom a good bill. “If there´s not a

There was growing buzz over the weekend that a bipartisan agreement on gun control — a deal that would expand background checks — could hit the floor as early as this week. However, any deal could be derailed by the looming threat of a Republican filibuster involving Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.
