We need some governors to declare their states to be federal regulation sanctuary states. That is, declare null and void any executive order that does not stem from congress, and vow to protect and defend anyone who is threatened by the federal government for violating these regulations. We need the states to fight against Obama as we cannot do it alone -- our state governments could actually be good for something if they did this for us.

What will congressional Republicans do about it?

Democrats are well aware that the biggest obstacle to economic growth is Obama himself. But as they are against economic growth themselves ("It´s not fair!") it´s all good to them.

The US Hose has the power to regulate the regulators by shutting off the money. The Senate and Executive branch can stop any lowering of funds, but if the House does not pass another bill to fund the regulators, the money dries up.

The House has all the budgetary power. Too bad we do not have leaders in the House that will use the power they have.

It always comes back to "it´s the fault of the Republicans in the House," doesn´t it? No one expects anything good out of Democrats so the fact that they are backing Obama in every unconstitutional act goes without comment or complaint. Don´t any of you have Democrat representatives or senators you can complain about? And, if you do, why do they keep getting elected?

I do not ever remember reading an article whereby Krauthammer was "for" Obama. At the beginning when Obama was elected, K only mentioned to give him a chance and we will see. Otherwise, K would have been really racist, wouldn´t he? K is a fair player. He is very smart and many value his opinion. Conservatives who I know try to be fair otherwise we are like the left. Since Obama´s four years now, we know that O is a extreme socialist and dumb as a brick about helping our country, many say it is on purpose.
Irregardless, we have to be like the French underground and strike where ever we can to change the minds of many people who are not leftoids, but simply fooled. And get voter ID by 2016. The Dems won´t bother with much voter fraud in 2014, because it is very expensive and not as much at stake.

Agree with #1. We need to get involved at the state (and local) level, I believe that is where we can do the most good. I´m guilty of focusing too much on Washington, expecting relief from the very people who are causing the pain. It is not working, time to stop going around that mountain and get out of the wilderness.

While it´s true that budgets come from the House, they also operate on sort of a continuing basis. The House can fund new things or cut things off only if the Senate and the House put together a bill that does that and it gets signed by the President (or his veto is over-ridden.)

Look at the current situation: The House sent up three budgets in the last two years but the Senate hasn´t passed a budget in 3 and things are still operating.

One other thing: when you dump (and I mean dump) 4 trillion dollars into the hopper and still have the worst economy in 75 years... that money is going somewhere.

As long as the House Republicans go along with these continuing resolutions then all these agencies will have enough funding to do whatever. These resolutions need to be stopped and force the Democrats in the Senate to approve a budget then cut the budgets of all regulatory agencies. The use of baseline budgeting also needs to stop. A slight decrease in the amount of increase in a budget is not a cut in spending!!!!!

Several years ago I worked for a medium-size company. We were having problems complying with a regulation. Finally I called Washington and talked to the guy who wrote the regualtion. His response, "Gee I never thought of that." I have even traveled to Washingtion to speak to other bueracrats. Most are quite ingorant about the world they are writing regulations for. I did find a few helful ones.

Re: #24 - I read the article and found nothing anti-Christian in it, nor do I see a justification for attacking posters who generally support positions as described by Krauthammer. Krauthammer´s writings display a consistent, but not perfect, conservative core - as do Will´s and Sowell´s. I differ with K on specific opinions but find him to be anything but an Obama enabler.

Correct, Safari Man. If the house won´t cut funding it´s up to the governors who would legally be within their rights to refuse fiat, and only recognize properly constituted regulations.

It´ll eventually hit the Supremes, so we better begin the challenge now, before the court moves further left.

Since a majority of these rules and regulations do not come from laws passed by congress but from executive orders issued by Obozo, I would like for someone, anyone, show me just where in the U.S. Constitution where it gives the president or anyone else the power to issue an executive order that has the power of law. I thought that the Congress was the only body that can pass a law. Maybe I´m living in the wrong century.

Perhaps if more people like Dr. K. had seen what we see in Obama, and wrote about it in 2008, we wouldn´t be stuck with him as President now.

Unfortunately, States that refuse to enforce federal regulations will likely not receive federal funds. That occurred with States complying with road regulations, drinking age and speed limits.

Thats another way that Obama is taking over this country. We are no longer a free nation. There are no more freedoms in this country. We will be told what to do and when to do it and there is nothing we can do about it.

I feel terrible for those of us who will suffer, lose jobs, have inadequate insurance and all the rest, but have a general contempt for those who voted this man back in---especially my well educated Democratic friends. I really hope they suffer alone with the rest of us. But most of all, I hope they finally recognize what they have elected!
